Very
disappointed
by
our
stay.
We
had
reserved
a
room
sometime
ago
for
a
family
wedding
this
weekend.
We
did
not
get
into
the
room
until
almost
2
in
the
morning,
but
noticed
immediately
that
there
was
a
very
strong
and
unpleasant
smell
in
the
room.
Since
it
was
already
very
late,
and
we
were
with
our
young
child,
and
we
decided
to
power
through
it
hoping
that
running
the
air
system
in
the
room
would
make
the
odor
go
away.
It
did
not.
My
wife
struggled
to
sleep
all
night,
and
I
could
still
smell
it
when
I
woke
up
the
next
day.
When
we
were
leaving
in
the
morning
we
informed
the
staff
at
the
front
desk,
following
the
instruction
I
saw
on
a
plaque
in
the
room
where
Holiday
Inn
Express
proudly
talked
about
their
customer
first
policy,
and
encouraged
guests
to
report
anything
that
was
not
satisfactory.
Rather
than
try
to
rectify
the
situation,
the
manager
on
front
desk
person
made
us
wait
in
the
lobby
and
delay
our
time
of
leaving
because
she
insisted
she
needed
to
go
upstairs
and
verify
the
smell.
Upon
her
return
she
claimed
that
there
was
no
smell
and
didn’t
know
what
we
were
talking
about.
We
explain
to
her
how
unpleasant
the
smell
was,
how
much
it
compromise
our
experience,
and
why
we
didn’t
have
a
chance
to
notify
the
staff
sooner.
She
would
not
budge
and
made
my
wife
feel
quite
uncomfortable
by
insisting
that
there
was
no
smell,
indirectly
making
it
seem
as
if
we
were
lying
or
making
something
up.
We
were
already
running
late
so
we
had
to
go
and
left
it
at
that.
We
will
definitely
not
be
booking
at
that
hotel
ever
again,
and
if
anyone
else
needs
a
Hotel
in
the
area
then
I
would
recommend
the
Element
by
Westin
that
is
right
next
door.
