Dr. Naama Bartfeld has a rule of one issue per visit — this “rule” led Naama to dismiss a cancerous lump my mother had and she has since switched physicians. I, unfortunately, gave Naama several more chances. Naama will dismiss you as a patient if you go to a walk-in clinic or see any other doctor that isn’t her, yet she is never available — she works in the office one day a week, 4 hours a day, and the rest of her appointments are virtual. However, you are never provided a designated time or time frame and are only told that Naama will call you on the specified date sometime within a 12 hour window so ensure that you’re next to your phone all day. Years ago I started a new medication and Naama informed me that if I experienced any unusual side effects to contact her secretary and she would put me through to Naama, even without an appointment — this happened a total of ONE time and her secretary, Angela Coluccio, said that this was complete news to her and that I would need to make an appointment to see Naama. Most recently, Naama implemented a new “rule” of $25 per prescription refill — the last time I called to get my prescription refilled, Naama provided me with the incorrect dosage. Please save yourself the stress and find an ethical physician who cares more about their patients than the $$$ in their bank account.

So after reading some recent reviews I decided to fill out the "new patient intake" form online as I've been in need of a new family doctor for quite some time. I followed the instructions in the reviews and had to click around to find the forms because they make it look like some text are links but they don't take you anywhere. I called in just to inquire about acceptance and how long it would be before my first appointment before finding and submitting my forms and the prompt said to press 1 for walk-in and 3 for the other doctors (so I chose 3). When she answered, I asked about the new patient forms and she said I called the wrong side. Then asked the lady beside her if they're accepting new patients (since 4 months ago they were) and she told me "no". So confused, I giggled, said "ok?" and she hung up on me. You know, I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt but that service was ridiculous...almost comical. Make it clear online that you're not accepting new patients. Make it clear in your phone prompts as to what extension people should choose. Understand that we fund these services and are entitled to appreciation and kindness AT LEAST. Oh, and how about if you DON'T hang up on people who are looking for help and aren't being rude. What a joke. I'm sure the doctors may be good at what they do in there but unfortunately it's usually the front-end staff that ruins it for everyone. What an awful 30-second experience.

Long term patient of Dr. Sen. He's OK when he's available, but he's almost always late to the clinic every morning. In my opinion this is borderline irresponsible and unprofessional. Every Saturday for his walk in hours, he would be late by half an hour at minimum. And he would not allow his patients to see other walk-in doctors like Dr. Jacobson. Ridiculous.

I’m very disappointed in your clinic today. I came in today as a “walk-in” because I severely injured my ankle yesterday. I can barely walk. I need a prescription to commence physio immediately so I can start the recovery process. When I “walked-in” to your clinic I was told that they weren’t accepting walk-ins and they were only dealing with appointments. I would have to come back hours later. What is the point of having “walk-in” in your company name if you don’t actually accept walk-ins and you only do appointments. This is ridiculous and no wonder everyone ridicules our health care system when nonsense like this happens. Jason

I took my toddler to this walk-in to have her assessed for a fever. We were turned away and asked to come back with a negative covid test. So to understand correctly, she wouldn't have been seen if she tested positive? I guess I'm missing the entire point of a walk-in clinic/doctor's office. Turning away a 1.5-year-old due to outdated covid policies is concerning - this is far from protecting the vulnerable population. It's very disappointing to see the standard of practice at this clinic.

Went in with my daughter today for the first time based on star rating from Google Reviews. However, wish I had first read reviews as many others have had similar issues. When registering, the receptionist notified me that they won’t take my 4 year old child who has been complaining of an ear ache, in for a check up with walk in clinic because she may have Covid based on her temperature (which is related to her ear infection). I understand if she had more than one symptoms related to Covid. But just a fever when she’s clearly complaining of an ear ache? And as per previous posts, No I was not redirected to the pharmacy for a free RAT test nor did the receptionist offer to do one (which if they want one that bad then maybe hey should offer). As someone who works in the medical field with vulnerable people, would my excuse for not giving a patient care because I’m worried about other vulnerable patients be sufficient? To ensure safety my daughter and I both were wearing masks. I also saw that the doctor was in gown, mask and face shield walking around (which means he wears this whether someone has Covid or not?) which is fine but if everyone’s taking the necessary precautions, why refuse care to my 4 year old who’s suffering? Anyways, I respectfully left but felt necessary to write a review so others don’t waste their time when looking for good health care for their loved ones.

Really bad experience. We made appointment but waiting outside long time in the parking lot due to no calling back from receptionist. She didn't seem to be responsible for her job and keep talking to someone else while serving patients. Of course forgot what she has to do for patients. Waste of time. I won't go back to this clinic. Please trust me. They will do the same thing to you. P.S.- waiting outside +30 min and waiting for sending fax for prescription +10 min simply forgot to take actions but only recognised when patient asked. Where is service mind? The clinic was very quite due to COVID and incorrect below owner's comments because they are busy. My family visited this clinic after a night long pain. Patients are not silly. Better to focus and service patients.

Don't appreciate the fact that receptionist tells us it's a two hour wait, so we check in and let her know we will go kill some time in the plaza, instead of sitting there next to coughing and sneezing people in the waiting room, and return after two hours and find ourselves being pushed down to the very end of the wait list instead of herkeeping us in our original list position. So that added another 90 min wait. Cannot recommend this place at all, there's more efficient, friendly, and honest operating walk in clinics in this area. Also, why do we have to tell the receptionist what we are there to see the doctor for?? Very bizarre policy, this is confidential information between patient and doctor, not for the whole waiting room to hear 😒

Hi. Just wanted to let everyone know that it's impossible to make an appointment or to register to be a new patient. I've tried. If you are going to say you doctors are accepting new patients then mean it. My doctor has retired and I have been looking for a long time, for my family. I'm 50, my husband is 61 and my 2 kids are 24 and 21. If you mean it than stop denying us medical assistance.

I've seen Dr. Jacobson for the past four year in this walk in clinic. The doctor is good, but the receptionist is terrible! First of all, during pandemic they only accept phone consultation which is fine, but the receptionist need to pickup the phone at least. I've called in three days in a row this week, at 9:30AM, 11:30AM, and 4:10PM, all of my calls goes directly to voicemail saying its not business hour, please call in the next business day. What time is the business hour? And there is no way to leave a voicemail for call back, thats not professional. Finally I got "lucky" today, the receptionist finally picked up the phone and I was able to speak with Dr. Jacobson. But the receptionist has a terrible attitude, hung up the phone and rude! Need a new receptionist for this place to receive better rating.

Location has convenient hours however you can’t be seen for a walk in appointment unless you come with a negative rapid test, which of course they don’t supply. So you will need to go elsewhere if you want walk-in medical care unfortunately even though the government doesn’t provide or otherwise require rapid tests any longer. It seems that this office isn’t that interested in actually helping patients by continuing with such restrictive policies more than 3 years post Covid. They also close daily from 1-2 pm. Otherwise, the front entrance looks nice and their is lots of parking.

I came in to get some assistance and before I could even finish my sentence the front desk receptionist sitting to the right (blonde hair and glasses) rudely cut me off mid-sentence to let me know that she was on her lunch and couldn’t assist me at the moment. Disgusting customer service. I won’t be back.

This is NOT a Walk In Clinic! If you are not a Patient of this Clinic, go somewhere else. I registered and sat for 2 1/2 hours before leaving and getting seen by another clinic 10 minutes after arriving. Their number system puts you on a list to which Doctors seemed to be unwilling to service. I saw Doctors leave for the day while I waited. Sad. I witnessed people sign in and get seen within minutes at this clinic and jump the 10 people sitting in the waiting room. Unless they hire an Office Manager willing to assign Walk In's to Doctors they should remove the Sign from the Building. Too Bad this Clinic is in my Neighborhood. My Family and Friends will never walk through their Doors.

Please post a sign for patients walking in that doctors are NOT seeing any more patients 2 HOURS before closing due to high volume. You close your doors at 7pm. There is a reasonable expectation that at 5pm that I can be seen for a health concern. To be told the doctor is worried they won’t finish on time is not my problem but rather either a time management issue on the physicians part. Your doors are open until 7pm and as such patients have the expectation to walk in and be seen by a physician. If not..LOCK your doors and post a sign that you are no longer taking patients. To the credit of the receptionist she advised I go to the URGENT CARE CLINIC at Jane and Rutherford and let me tell you the service and care is fantastic.

Abysmal service from a Healthcare practice during a pandemic. Their phones are always busy and you can almost never get a hold of the secretary. Waited the whole day to only get a call back saying their doctor is behind schedule and is running behind and will not be able to take my family members. The 2nd message said their closed and will not be able to be reached at via phone. Is this even ethical? Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time and pay out through a swipe of your health card to these unprofessional and useless doctors who can't even prescribe you medication bevause they don't know your full medical history. Our Canadian health care system needs to start treating patience as people not genie pigs to just shave pills or lack thereof. Saying sorry doesn't help a I'll patient.

Can't wait to find another family Dr. The office is always closed. You can never get a hold of anyone. If by chance someone picks up the phone, they promise to call you back with answers, but never do!! Always show up 10-15mins for an appointment, but have to end up waiting 45+ mins to get seen. Never complain about any pain you're in, the Dr will always say it has something to do with you Thyroid. Brutal!! Save yourself the headache and avoid!

Totally uncompetent staff. I called early morning to get an appointment and they direct me to do a COVID rapid test at home. I did, then I called back and they cannot give me an appointment. What a waste of time. Not all viruses and diseases are COVID.

Eagles Landing Medical Centre is an amazing family clinic. My Doctor, Mandy Schwartz has been the family doctor for me and my husband, my son, my daughter-in-law, and grand son for over 10 years now. We are fortunate to have her as our family doctor - she is a caring, patient, and extremely knowledgeable doctor who takes the time to listen to her patients. I am glad my family is in good hands. Dr. Schwartz has an amazing team to support her - Anglea, who supports her front-office is the most courteous, kind, caring and thorough person you could find in a busy family practice. Extremely efficient and thorough - she takes Eagle Landing Medical center to the next level of courteous service. Kudos to the team and bless you all.

My family are patients of Dr. Bartfeld and have been for over 5 years. Dr. Bartfeld is highly educated and well informed. She takes the time to listen to her patients and guide them. This clinic is extremely well run due to Angela, a true professional medical administrator who is courteous and kind.

Per the website, the Walk in centre supposedly closes at 3. What they do NOT tell you is that they stop accepting patients at 11:30am because, and I quote, "if we keep accepting patients, we'll be here all night." This is the 2nd time that I have gone to this clinic only to be turned away.

Friendly staff, clean premises. The front desk was welcoming, and the clinic was well-maintained, with ample parking. Dr. Jacobson was kind and helpful, addressing my questions patiently. However, he didn't disclose the high price of the prescribed medication. I was surprised by the cost at the pharmacy, which left me dissatisfied. Overall, the staff was friendly, and the clinic was clean, but the lack of transparency regarding medication pricing was a significant drawback.

Called Sunday October 2nd, 2022 too make an appointment... Have been on hold with the receptionist since 11am... the time is currently 11:40am Is this normal for a medical clinic?

The clinic is very accessible to new patient and the wait time for walk in is reasonable. Dr. Jacobson is thorough and professional. Thank you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bartfeld since 2009, she is absolutely amazing. Always listens, explains everything, and genuinely cares about her patients. Her secretary, Angela, is awesome too. Always in a good mood and willing to help no matter what. All around, a very supportive and caring team of true professionals.

Update: Dr Jacobson was kind enough to call me back and see me after hours. ———————————— Waited over 1hr in the waiting area to see the doctor. I asked the receptionist multiple times as to how much longer I would have to wait, and all I received was “I don’t know!” I even offered to wait outside and for them to call me once it was my appointment, but they refused. To be waiting over 1hr during COVID time and getting exposed to sick people in the waiting area is just unacceptable.

Dr. Schwartz has been my family doctor for over 12 years now. She is a thorough professional who takes the time to understand your specific needs. I cannot thank her enough for all the professional support she has provided my family and me over the years. She is ably supported by Angela who is the most courteous and efficient front office person I have known. Though this is a busy practice, I have always felt adequately looked after. Thanks team for all you do for us. 😄 👍👍👍👍👍

One of the best walk in clinic experiences I've had. All of the staff, from receptionists to doctors, are kind, caring, educated and don't rush you. From my experiences there, they'll go above the average walk in clinic to make you feel comfortable & prioritize your health.

Dr. Sen is a great Doctor; he's always on time, courteous, and helpful. He has been my Doctor for over 10 years now and would never change. Patricia at reception is very kind and always takes the time to help when needed. Very clean office as well!

My dad has been trying to book an appointment with his doctor (Dr. Bartfield) for over a week now. They have not responded to the voicemail he left or called back which is very unfortunate. We've had good experiences with this doctor previously but the poor phone service has definitely made me think twice about coming back. It seems like we will have to go to another clinic. Edit: They were very proactive + apologetic in response to this review to arrange an appointment for my father! Increased the rating accordingly.

These are the best doctors anywhere. Dr. Nakamura takes her time with you to fully understand your condition and then diagnosis it with exact accuracy. The front desk staff including Patricia are some of the most friendliest people I have ever met. Their walk in clinic is great and they are attached to a very friendly pharmacy. The best!! If I could give more stars I would.

We see Dr Bartfeld at Eagles landing and have also used the walk in clinic. We have always received fast and friendly service; dr Bartfeld is amazing, always without judgement and has helped and curious approach to solving issues. Receptionist Angela is warm and helpful.

Used to be a patient for bartfeld. Be wary when choosing this establishment. Communication is non existent at best and they will drop you when you need them. Even though I wasn’t a frequent patient (28 year old male), a little bit of communication goes a long way to at the very least know they are dropping you. Those that are accepting calls are very rude and will hang up on you when you inquire for info. They do not have their patients well-being in the front of their mind. Look somewhere else. -- Edit after owner response: Yes, advising of OHIP policy is fine. However, inquiring about the policy is not grounds for an automatic dismissal of the policy. As a patient, I have every right to understand why I'm unable to go see a walk-in clinic in the case you are unavailable. I fail to see how this was an indication that it's not acceptable when even at the very end I was still trying to get an appointment. When our only means of communicating with you is via phone, hanging up is completely unprofessional. I hope this practice can learn and admit from it's mistakes. Best of luck.
