Disappointing given how hyped up the reviews are. Staff was very friendly, though they gave me the wrong dipping sauce in my order. Pizza was super greasy and not very tasty. Not worth the steep price tag. Be careful the portions are larger than standard pizza sizes. edit: I made an error when I said they messed up the dipping sauce. There is only one on the menu, I was only disappointed they didn't have more options.

The pizza definitely tastes better than a regular pizza chain like pizza pizza or domino’s but their prices are not justified. I bought a mini pepperoni pizza that they say serves 2 (12’’) which i felt was equivalent to a medium pizza at domino’s. A medium pepperoni at any place is at max 10 dollars or maybe 15 for a Dine in. But the place is selling it for 20$ on take out. That is completely insane. And looking at your replies at other reviews, if you think you can divide the cost of mini pizza in 2people, I ate it alone. Everybody I know can finish this pizza alone. Its the same size as a medium pepperoni from domino’s for 8 dollars. Stop being rude to google reviews. Let people tell you their experience.

I called in my order from outside. Friendly staff. 20 min wait for my large pizza. Very generous on toppings. I ordered thick crust, half Hawaiian and half meat lovers and it was delicious. I drove 30 mins and it was worth the drive. Will order again for sure!

I'm not actually that big of a fan of their pepperoni pizza slice, but the garlic bread was out of this world. Lovely staff and wonderful atmosphere.

The cashier was in rush, though there was no one but me! The pizza I got was over baked (almost burnt out). The crust was burnt and feels like a cardboard! I am wandering how come such a famous pizzeria do such cheap service. It can be anything but never a pizza! The only good thing in the service was the cold pop! You’ve got yourself a couple of dollars but you’ve just lost a customer!, maybe more!!

For lunch their slices option is very economical and best option. Pepperoni slice is the best one as their pepperoni tastes so good. You can also try cheese slice. Apart from slices, other signature pizza recipes are also delicious, but pricing is on higher side (around 38 CAD for medium pizza). Recommend: Veggie pizza (from their signature pizzas) Main disappointment is that, there is no dine-in option

Everything here is very well done right down to the soup and cold cut sandwiches. Biggest pizza's I've ever seen. Topping quality is unequalled. Friendly service and they're only closed on Mondays.

Over 15yrs+ since yonge & 407 location customer honest review as a customer. Super deluxe large pizza is all time my favorite menu. Pizza dough is crispy and Italian style. I never finished franchise pizza dough. very fresh ingredients and not salty and healthy. Highly recommended. Definitely will order again.

It's been awhile since we've been back to Dante's Pizzeria. We used to frequently eat at the old location across the street. This location is now a much smaller restaurant and right now there's no dining in as they're only doing takeout due to Covid-19. We ordered an Italian salad, a meat lasagna and a large super deluxe pizza. Portion sizes is really big and everything was tasted as I remembered. The Italian salad is with iceberg lettuce, red onions, tomato, olives, mozzarella then topped and loaded with salami, capicolla and mortadella. It's a very hearty salad that's is sharable with a few people. The meat lasagna is soooooo good! It's layered with fresh pasta, ground beef and loaded with parmesan and mozzarella cheese! They fill the take out container with their tomato sauce and it's simply amazing. Finally, we ordered the super deluxe pizza which consists of red onion, pepperoni, mushrooms, salami, red peppers and tomatoes! Omg for a large pizza it's a big one and the entire pizza is loaded with toppings. Note: I can't wait to come back but don't make the same mistake we made last time - Dante's is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Owner's childish and unprofessional. I should have looked here b4 ordering. Look at his response to any previous negative review and you'll see what I mean. Soon I'm sure you can just look below this one. Order from a better person. My sister ordered 2 medium pizzas and balked at the $80 price at the end of the call. She immediately asked to cancel if he hadn't started yet and he said ok. I figured she had just gotten too much and called to order 1 pizza. Upon giving our address, he took the phone from the lady I was speaking to and refused to take my order. I assured him I wasn't going to cancel but he repeated his refusal. At this point I realized his character and ended the call. We had a great meal elsewhere. Never going to order from this place again. Lots of great places in the GTA. Nothing special. Put your price on your website.

tried this place for the first time today! got some individual slices to try that weren’t very worth it as the crust was too thick for my liking but the full sized pizzas were definitely worth every dollar! ordered a medium thin crust pizza with spicy sausage, mushrooms and black olives and this was absolutely delicious. crust was nice and crispy even after the pizza cooled down (did not get soggy) and the portion was MASSIVE for a medium! this picture doesn’t do the size justice at all. will definitely be returning if i’m ever in the area again. for size reference: this medium pizza would easily be an extra large at any pizza chain like dominos.

Interesting spot for a pizza place. Only knew it was here because a friend had tried it before. There’s definitely a lot of toppings on their pizzas and I could easily be full from a slice. Pizza was good, just not really my type. Nothing wrong with it, I just have a certain preference when it comes to pizzas. Maybe I’ll try their pasta next time :) Any recommendations?

Coming from Winnipeg there are plenty of excellent options for pizza. Moved here 5 years ago and I have been dissatisfied will all of the places in the GTA until we found Dante’s. It is the best so far. The seafood pizza with white sauce was excellent!! Keep up the good job!

Just picked up a steak, mushroom and red onion pizza. Was not disappointed, used to have their pizza all the time when they were on Baythorn in Thornhill. You get what you pay for, delicious crust, sauce and toppings! We will be back!!!!

I can see why it’s well rated, the pizza here is amazing. We tried their signature super deluxe and vegetarian pizzas and they were stunning. They pile on the toppings here and the dough is delicious with a nice bite and chew. Fair warning, they are busy so order ahead at least 30-40 mins in advance.

Quality is job 1 here. Has been, and will always be the best tasting quality pizza in the g.t.a bar none. Thank you for providing my family with delicious pizza that everyone loves !

Very warm and welcoming family for as long as I can remember... I'm a student coming all the way from Chatham and always come back with my dad (who has been coming to Dantes for 45+ years!) for the amazing pizza and sliced steak sandwiches. After and a hour up the road back to Barrie the food is still piping hot and NEVER disappoints. Always fresh and very generous ingredients, it hasn't changed in all the years we've been... the food and the people. Excellent.. never change, never move, and please never close!

Dante's is amazing! Have been eating here for years and am always excited to order it as a treat! Toppings are very generous so don't get too many. Best pizza spot!

I wish I made frozen pizza instead of ordering this one. The toppings way too much, sauce not tasty, even kid's plain cheese pizza wasn't good. Disappointed :(

While the pizza is fabulous -- don't forget their Caesar Salad! So fresh, so tasty, so large! We've been customers since they were in Thornhill and even though we live in Mississauga now, we still can't resist picking up when we are anywhere nearby. :)

Long time regular. I have been going to this restaurant in all of its phases from Dante's to Paoletti's back to Dante's. Fresh pizza, pasta, with homestyle Italian authenticity. Loved the Mama's Fiesta, Meat Lovers Pizza and Veal pasta. Huge portions for the dollar. A staple eatery in my view.

Ok so I ordered a veal sandwich today and it had absolutely no flavour. Tasted like it was prepared in the microwave. I am honestly not sure how this place has 4.4 star rating. Maybe their pizza or other menu items are better than their veal sandwich. Imagine if McDonalds decided to make a veal sandwich, even that would have more Italian flavours than what I just ate. Would never go back... Not even for free.. Place was good decades ago.. Should have stayed closed after shutting down the Thornhill location... Sticking to Ricci, California or Abruzzo.. much much much better than this place.

This has got be the BEST pizza in the world! Here’s a story from the 1980’s. Was with friends and we ordered a large deluxe with sliced steak and hot peppers. I left friends’ place just before delivery was made and intercepted the delivery guy as he arrived. I told him I had to go out and paid him on the spot. This is what people do to get more Dante’s! My friends couldn’t place another order as it was too late. We laugh about this story when we get together

Been going to Dante's with my family for 30 years, old location and new location. We always order a large with there famous Schneiders pepperoni. The pizza has serious great flavor from the sauce, but there pepperoni is one of a kind, maybe custom made as I've tried all the excellent pizza joints, buy no one compares to there pepperoni. Impressed they now have thin crust, "Excellent" pie. Both thin and regular crust has a crunch to it, not saugy, light, airy and I believe there secret is spring water and a quality flour. Again, just get the "Schneiders" pepperoni, that's all you need and the quantity they put on, as if you ordered double pepperoni. Every friend I've recommended to try it, all impressed👍

Love their pasta with meat sauce and the meat lasagna. The portions are huge and easily satisfy my family of four. Service is very friendly too!

I recently relocated to Vaughan. After 12 years of their disappearance from Thornhill, I was out for a walk last week & came across Dante's. Their food is fresh & always great, as is their service. You may have to wait, but it's worth it. I highly Dante's for their pizzas & pastas.

This is one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever tried. I ordered last time vegetable pizzas, when I picked it up, it was cold like inside raw and nothing cooked. I never recommend this place to anyone. I’m afraid the best one I like is pizza pizza so far. Their dough is thinner and more healthier and more tasty.

I have been a longtime customer of Dante’s. Our business is located very close by and we have frequently placed pickup orders, and deliveries. The store is always very clean, and well taken care-of. The staff are beyond kind and helpful. Always asking how my family is and treating me like family. The medium pizza, which is advertised to serve four, generously served 3 hungry mechanics and myself for lunch today. The prices ARE fair for the quality and quantity of the food you receive. I always recommend Dante’s to friends in the area, and have many friends who make sure to stop in whenever driving by!

Dreams do come true!!! We have been loyal customers for many many years. The Paoletti brothers have been serving the best family secret Italian cuisine. The veal sandwiches start with a freshly baked bun and their amazing tomato sauce. Loaded with made to order veal and all the good toppings like cheese, mushrooms and peppers. You won’t find a better sandwich in the city. Their fresh salad is also amazing. We love their Italian salad, with assorted cold cuts, cheese, tomatoes, olives and home made oil and vinegar dressing. Always freshly made to order, always high quality ingredients, always delicious.
