I've heard about this resto for years and always wanted to try it out. My wife and I went last week after finally getting a date night. The food was great but the server made this a strange experience for us. She kept focusing on the fact that we weren't Italian and it was super awkward. "Oh you didn't finish your pasta? That's cuz you're not Italian", or "Italians know which wines pair best, let me help you with that", "not getting dessert? now I know you're not Italian". It was super weird. I've lived in Vaughan since 1983 and never felt like an outsider until today. Long story short, I'll never go back to this place.

The service was excellent. We enjoyed the grilled calamari and Cesar salad. The seafood pasta sauce was too creamy otherwise would be great. Nice atmosphere. Mostly are local upscale Italian customers.

A popular neighbourhood spot for Italian food. Be warned that it can get super busy. We made a reservation for 7pm on a Friday evening, and when we got there it was super packed and we had to wait an extra half hour for our table. We did eventually get seated and the food came out promptly, but it is not recommended if you are time sensitive. The portions are also very generous so if you are with lighter eaters order a few plates and share. We were quite happy with the food --- the only negative is the wait for our table.

A friend’s birthday was held here. Looking at the menu, there are some decent options, nothing exactly eye-popping. We ordered the carpaccio and fried calamari for the table. Calamari was great although the side of tzatziki was weird, and I thought the olive oil on the carpaccio was unnecessary. For my main I had the risotto pescatore, a rice dish with various types of seafood. I was impressed at the quality of the fish and the sauce the rice was soaked in. Prices were fair at best, it was an okay experience.

Went out with my company of 50-80 people. The food was great, though. We started with an antipasto appetizer and a fried calamari and shrimp plate. Main 1 was pasta and risotto. Risotto was great and done well. The pasta was alright. The chicken in the chicken and veal dish was amazing. Great tiramisu - nice and soft. Coffee flavour came through. Very slow service. It's as if they forgot our company booked the venue out. They did refill our water in a timely manner. Overall venue was pleasant to be in. What I'm about write next is the washroom, so if you don't wanna hear about it I advise you to stop reading. Washroom has one stall, 2 urinals, and 2 sinks. Not exactly large, but good enough for men.

Great service and excellent vegetarian options. I had pizza rustica. We also tried the risotto.

Best pasta ever!!! The food is sooo delicious. But the servers weren’t attentive it was obvious they were understaffed.

First time visiting, not a huge menu, but all your traditional Italian faves. I started w grilled calamari, prepared well, nice size portion and tasty. Had the veal chop special topped w mushrooms, nice size again and delicious! Great service staff very attentive, and price, very reasonable! I'll definitely be back soon.

First time and it was a hit! We were able to catch the last walk in available, would def recommend to make resos as place gets busy. Mom and pops italian fare. The pasta is cooked el Dante just how I like, we ordered the seafood rose angel hair pasta, Margherita pizza (well done), tortiglioni in bolognese sauce and the baked branzino ( it was baked and butterflied) which came with blanched veggies and roasted potatoes). I would recommend every dish, very flavorful cooked to perfection, the branzino was crispy on the outside but the inside melted like butter. The branzino was in the special/seasonal menu which the server presented as we were seated. Friendly and professional staff, will definitely visit again! Thanks for the lovely experience Zizi's!

This place is nice Margherita pizza was delicious the pasta was ok.

Great pasta, good drinks, and our server was great. Our table was a little odd as it was right by the bartender and bar so it felt like we were in the way and would hear the wait staff saying all the orders and everything like that.

We were celebrating our 1st Anniversary and decided to try Zizi Trattoria . So glad we did!! There are alot of restaurants that say they are Italian Cuisine, however Zizi Trattoria is the Best Italian restaurant around for sure. Service was amazing. Promptly attended to by Roberto, who was so pleasant, professional and really knows how to make your experience here a memorable one. Takes the time making sure everything was perfect. In fact , all the staff worked together to make sure customers are being tended to in a timely manner. Even the owner is on the floor. Visable. Engaging. And helping out. The food is absolutely delicious, served hot, not waiting a long time for meals to come out of the kitchen. Good size portions. Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Great bar staff. So friendly and outgoing. Variety of brands. Make great drinks. This restaurant is deserving of more than a 5 star rating, more like a 10* ..anyone who tries this resturant, certainly wont be disappointed!! 100% recommended.

This is our favourite restaurant and go to fine dining location. I always order the calamari appetizer and lamb (baa baa agnello) main course. In my opinion, both are the best I've had of any restaurant. The service is always amazing and the portions filling for reasonable prices.

I got this reservation in the last minute. They told me it was a patio. But when I reached there, they offered us a table. Loved it 😍 Food was really great. We had veal chop and pasta. Both were fresh and yummy. Veal chop was slightly expensive $36. Since it was a special, it wasn't on menu as well. Great atmosphere for a date, couple dinner or something like that. Just celebrated a beautiful occasion with family and friends and everyone loved it!! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was incredible. All my guests were extremely satisfied and had all wonderful compliments regarding the food. Highly recommend Zizi to anyone looking to have a wonderful night out or group function with wonderful food and service and very fair price. I will definitely be having more functions here. Went for a birthday dinner. There was about 15 of us. Food was incredible! The restaurant is simple, clean and beautiful. Good for smaller events. Our server was so knowledgeable and friendly. Portions were fantastic! Will definitely be back! Get the calamari you won't be disappointed!!

Everything was nice and clean. The food and staff were lovely, I had a very nice experience.

Good food and decent service. The service was decent because it seemed rather abrupt when it came to cleaning up our plates but not when filling up our waters and giving us the bill. We were happy with our meals and may go there again in the future.

Honestly, the best Italian restaurant I've been to so far in Vaughan, bravo ZiZi. Food is fresh, homemade, delicious and very classy place.

Best Italian food in the area... No matter what I order, as many times as I go to Zizi's the flavor is consistent, and the portions are beyond generous. There is not a restaurant in the GTA that provides better service... Great job to the team at ZiZi Trattoria, keep it up!

We were a party of six last night..everyone ordered different meals and we shared appetizers. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Quality food ,reasonable prices, excellent service. We all agreed that we were returning next month.
