I’ve been to many great Italian restaurants across the GTA but my visit to Bocconcino redefined Italian cuisine for me in Canada. My stay was like a trip to Italy. This restaurant had a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere with gorgeous one-of-a-kind paintings. Both waiters Gino and Juan did an amazing job creating a luxurious Italian experience for the guests. During my stay, everything that was brought out of the kitchen was out of this world delicious. I would recommend trying the beautiful cranberry salad, it was very light, tasty and flavourful. If you’ve never tried Bocconcino’s fresh pasta you’ve been missing out! I had the pesto spaghetti and to my surprise it was rich, creamy but also very balanced. None of the ingredients were too muted nor dominant. There was also something very wonderful about the texture of the spaghetti. I think you’ll just have to taste it to understand fully. The entire experience was very wonderful, one that’s rare to find nowadays. I believe that great restaurants are created as a result of strong leadership/partnership. It’s evident that owner Elena loves and cares for this place so much and Chef/ business partner Salvatore cooks from the heart. I would truly give this place more than 5 stars if that was possible.

We had a group of 12, and everything was amazing from start to finish! The food was fantastic! If you are looking for true Italian home cooked meals, look no further. The prices are very fair as well.

This place is the best !! Food is awesome, it’s like you’re eating in someone’s home. Small intimate restaurant, perfect as it is quiet and friendly. The grilled calamari is great. Our friend said it was the best liver he had ever had and my wife said the stuffed pepper was the best she ever had. I had the Penny à la vodka, which is the best I have ever had anywhere. At the beginning, they will bring out some toasted bread and hot peppers, absolutely fantastic. For that If you’re into tiramisu, it is outstanding, and I am not a tiramisu fan, but I will order it again.

Not a bad joint. The food was good but not great. I felt the meats were cooked a little too much as the Osso Bucco was a bit much too chew. If I could I would have given them 3.5 but can't and they were not a 4.

Personable vibe with heartfelt service. Everything was made to perfection - pasta, lentil soup, bread, tiramisu (see pic). Friendly, cozy, warm, quiet setting. Will go back again. Thanks, owners, for keeping it real and authentic.

Maybe the best Italian food o have ever had. The dish was so flavorful! Excellent bread. Staff was delightful and helpful since we were unsure what to order. Went for lunch and was wonderful. We will definitely be going again when we are in the neighborhood!

Bocconcino is a small Italian restaurant with awesome, authentic food made as you like it. The menu is only a suggestion, they'll custom make your meal no problem. The staff are all knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

This hidden gem is warm and welcoming but a little over priced. I love Italian restaurants and understand fine dining can be costly...however... $90 for antipasto for the table is ridiculous when you get 5 pieces of prosciutto, 5 slices of tomato, 5 halves of artichoke, 5 slices of mozzarella and a handful of olives. That's a rip off. I have to say the staff is great, the environment is clean and the main courses were amazing. Our table tried the lamb, the veal, pesto pasta, penne alla vodka and tortellini. The food was fresh and very good. We bought a bottle of wine of the table, roughly $50. I think for a group of 5 we paid around $400. This was a great experience but don't buy the antipasto option, you can go to several Italian places for an antipasto/ charcuterie board and get more for your money.

My girlfriend and I decided to check this place out on a whim. We got there at 9pm so they politely reminded us that they were about to close; we were looking to go straight to the mains anyway, so we didn't mind. We ordered a plate of Pesto Spaghetti and the Vodka Penne. We were served bread with spicy olive oil as we waited. The food came out hot and freshly made. Staff members were very polite and accommodating. The place was cozy and homey WITHOUT smelling like a kitchen. Bocconcino is a relaxed and casual place for good Italian food, tucked in the middle of an office complex.

Great service, atmosphere + food. My only critical comment: it will be perfect if there are more shrimps in the Linguini Pescatore (there was only 1 in my dish). The tiramisu was super delicious. Well done and hope the restaurant continue to do well!!

Went for lunch with the wife and we were both amazed at how good the food was. We started with an order of fried calamari. The portion seemed a little small but the taste was on point. I got the veal with mushrooms and she got a plate of pesto pasta. Both were fantastic. Female server was very nice but her male counterpart was a bit direct and seemed bothered. Not enough to ruin a great meal. Definitely give it a try if you like Italian food.

Out of the way small Restaurant but worth heading south from Hwy 7. Good service and veal funghi (marsala with mushrooms) was good classic fare. Would definitely return

Very poor experience. Excellent food but rude, impolite, and quick to jump into my words as I was trying to explain my seafood allergy. Also, was overly blunt and condescending when pushing up to give a bigger tip. Not a way to talk to customers. Not coming back Thank you to the server who was polite and kind (older one) and the lady. Convey this to your staff please .

TERRIBLE SERVICE. The old man that calls himself the "manager" is rude, impatient, and inflexible. My mother in law ordered a cappuccino when we first arrived and he tells her "no you can't have that before the meal, you have that after the meal". Buddy she's the customer, she gets what she wants when she wants it, you just hop to it and fetch it. Avoid this place, unless you want overpriced, mediocre food and rude service.

Dined here for our Anniversary. We accidentally booked the patio but Radu the owner was accommodating and switched us to inside even though they were fully booked for the evening. The waitress was fantastic, they recommended a very good wine that we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was second to none. The two gentlemen They had in the kitchen worked in harmony to bring out our meals and appetizers in a timely fashion. The Pizza is unbelievable. I strongly recommend anyone looking for an authentic Italian evening to come to Bocconino. Radu the owner is Fantastico!

We had dinner here last night and all of the reviews are correct - the food here is delicious and the service makes you feel like you've been invited into an Italian home. My husband had the linguine pescatore, which was overflowing with seafood - clams, mussels, prawns, octopus and calamari. I had the Ravioli ai Porcini, which was an homage to the mushroom. When I had trouble deciding on a starter, our waiter recommended the eggplant parmesan, which isn't on the menu. It was simply fantastic. Our wine also wasn't on the wine list but again recommended to us - a Tuscan Red that was not expensive but probably should be. Then the dessert. We each had a slice of Nonna's torta which was, of course, deliciously indescribable. You have to try it to understand. My last comment is about the wine list - it was an album of photos of wine bottles with the occasional paper label. Charming. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. It's worth the trek from Vancouver, never mind downtown Toronto.

Food is great and Service is good however I would say a bit pricey for what it is. Otherwise, it's an authentic experience. Tiramisu is excellent!
