The prices are very low and once you get acclimated, you don't mind the bare-bones facilities. To get an idea of my experience here, imagine an unplanned sleepover at a friend's place. They put you in the spare room with their old bed, with sheets and bedding that are freshly laundered but obviously have seen better days. The furniture is from the 80s when you were both growing up, and it, too, has seen better days. But everything is perfectly clean and orderly. And you sleep like a baby on their mattress, under their old covers that you eventually grow to like. No frills (at all) and minor inconveniences make this place unsuitable for those seeking a hotel experience. When I first checked in and saw my room, I hadn't expected to see such a Spartan arrangement and I had a strong urge to leave and get my money back. But I'm very glad that I stuck to it, as I now have a favourite cheap spot to crash when I visit toronto area. My body is rested and my wallet is heavier, I'm happy!

Old Noisy air conditioners with no cooling. Leftover hair from Old clients on bedsheets. Took pictures as well. Requested owner lady to look at it and she was rude like if it was my hair. After she looked at hair, she told us that hair are from dryer. Before we could show her hair on other bed, she got so rude and started shouting that the hair are from dryer only. Told us either to stay or find another place...Unbelievable!!! Stayed little longer in room and saw a bug climbing the quilt. HORRIBLE!!! Checked in at 8 PM and leaving this place 10:40pm at night. DON'T waste your money and time at this place. Please and thank you.

Booked a room to stay for the night and showed up only to be told the age to book is 25, wasn’t informed of this when booking and doesn’t say anywhere on the site and was left stranded for anywhere to stay. (in response to owners reply it was a single person checking in, no idea what they’re talking about 6+ people)

The accommodations are very basic. No cable on the crt TV in our room. There was a table but no chairs. The tap in the washroom needs new washers. The bed made me itch, probably because of the detergent used. I would prefer to NOT stay there again.

We had booked another hotel and when we got there they had given our room away.....fast forward two hours searching for another hotel and a hundred no sorry fully booked.......we found this gem - at 3am - we finally had a place to sleep! The staff was friendly (did I mention it was 3am!) and he gave us a great deal on their last room - we got to the room and it was great - very clean (more clean than even the big chain hotels!) the bed was comfy and had excellent pillows. When we got up the next morning the cleaners had already done most of the rooms on our floor - I didn't even hear them! Need a place to stay? Stay here ! I know we have no trouble using this place again. Thank you for the great customer service and the clean comfortable room.

Hello, I never stayed at this hotel but I would like to leave this review based on an interaction. On November 8th my daughter was hearing a noise from her car and a pressure light came on she’s a young driver and it was late at night. She pulled into the hotel and and did not see anyone at the desk. She ended up calling the number for security on the door. The female on the other end stayed on the phone with her until I arrived to follow her to the gas station. Being only 17 and not from the area I truly appreciated that. I will definitely try this location in the future if I’m ever in the area again, thank you.

We booked a room with a deposit of 25 dollars and they denied us when we got there just because of what we look like and because we’re going to a music festival. All we wanted to do was sleep at night here but the owner of the place is rude and inconsiderate for no reason over the phone when all we wanted to do is have a room

we were going to a music festival and were only planning to sleep there after and leave in the morning. we prebooked and called to confirm. as soon as they saw us they asked how old we were we stated we are 27 and 25 and 22. they immediately called the owner and got him to talk to us on the phone. he was looking at the cameras and stated he didnt like how we were dressed. he started swearing and screaming at us on the phone and trying to add an extra 250 dollars to our deposit. he then came rolling up on his corvette, looked at us nd said “yeah youre not staying here”.he was completely prejudice and agressive. he pushed my partner into the door and ran to our car to take pictures of our license plate. he was extremely agressive and made all of us extremely upset and disappointed. this was the worst experience of my life. never book here. they try to change prices, they prejudge you based on how you look and the owner is a very angry man . please do not book here. save time and never book here. i have videos of him yelling at me because i asked him why he wouldnt let us into our room. if i could give them no stars i would

Good: Staff was nice. Place seemed fairly clean. Bad: Everything smelled of chlorine. Terrible acoustic separations, you can hear everything. Bed is a double, too small. Windows too small. Decor is very dated. TV is old school CRT. Water was undrinkable, again more chlorine like flavours (that may be a problem with the supply from the city though). Wi-Fi is unusable.

It’s not my first time there and I have been there a couple of times . I rang the service bell and a unprofessional lady came to service me and before she checked if there was any rooms available, she said she not sure if there’s any rooms available. She didn’t even check and said no rooms available. She judged me by my looks .

This place was shady at best. The rooms are terribly dated and it was so hot and humid in the room even with the window air conditioner running full blast. The floor had been freshly mopped but with no circulation it left the floors wet and slippery long after we'd arrived. Our neighbouring guests found a needle and light on the floor after it had freshly been cleaned. You'll notice the hotel has not posted photos of the rooms, bathroom or laundry service because they're not a selling feature. Spend the little extra and stay somewhere that doesn't feel like rooms are rented by the hour

Called minutes to 10 to let them know I’d be coming in. Came in at 11 checked in and went to my room and it was Freezing! I turned on the heat and barely any heat was coming out so I decided to get a refund cause I couldn’t even take off my jacket. When I went downstairs the door was wide open so I walked in and the clerk got mad and said I opened the door without pushing the button and I didn’t. Then when I complain about being cold he said it’s been off so it’ll take time. I’m like I called in so the room can be ready and the heater was barely working. He then asked if I turned it up I said of course I did and then he said it’s not going to work properly with the dial all the way.... what??? :s I then told him I want a refund and he sourly gave me back my money. And when I said thanks and have a goodnight he didn’t say anything just kept sighing. I supported this place since 2011 and this is what I get.

The bright lights of the parking lot literally GLARE through the flimsy, translucent curtains. There's no bathroom fan and the toilet seat is crammed between two narrow walls! In Canada, when you pay for hotel and motel accommodation, you are entitled to an itemized bill, even if it's just "Room only plus taxes." Despite the Covid19 Pandemic, one still has the right to know how much one is paying in taxes. It's simply NOT enough to say: "My Boss said it's included in the CAD $85 room charge." Really Miss? The parking lot needs some urgent repaving and the parking bays haven't been clearly marked. The AC was NOT working on our arrival, but we opted for this ground floor room, because we didn't want to pay $100 for a slightly bigger room, that would necessitate climbing two flights of stairs, since there's no lift! Alina is a very nice, courteous and efficient lady. She manages the property quite well! Nice! The front glass door had a broken hinge, and wouldn't stay open, as expected, whilst I turned the key to open the room door. Unusual! It's a clean and well maintained property, but as we entered our room, I noticed that the wall mounted AC vent was literally closed! I had to open up the vents, one by one, with my fingers! All in all, it's the BEST option for me and my lady friend, in Kleinburg, province of Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 They can and must do better! At least TRY please! I received a reply from the Owner. Thank you so much Sir. Our stay was in August 2020. It was a very hot and humid night. Nevertheless I thank you for making sure the renovations necessary were done. See you soon in 2021. Beds were very small and hard. Everything is old and outdated. Its usually pretty quiet because they are never busy. Pay they extra 30$ and stay at a much better place.

Beds are so uncomfortable I didnt sleep. The heat wasn't on. Had to turn on Toilet to use it. Barely any channels to watch tv. Customer service was great but they really need to do upgrades

KIDS ARE NOT WELCOME! First, I did not actually stay here, however on the night of Friday May 28, 2021 a bit after 10pm, I did call to inquire about a room for the following night. The man replied the rate was $90 for the first floor, and something about a higher rate for another floor. I asked how many beds were in the room, he replied one, I asked if he had any rooms with two beds as I was travelling with a couple kids, at that point his attitude changed and he replied “oh, I don’t think we want kids staying here at the moment, I can ask the lady (lady = manager I guess???), but I don’t think she will allow it, we’ve been really lucky with COVID so far, we’re trying to keep this place clean, we really don’t want that s**t right now” and yes he used the “S” word! FIRST - my kids are NOT s**t!!! SECOND - my kids are a lot cleaner than most adults, and very responsible, wear a mask, clean hands etc... THIRD - I realize we are in a pandemic, but some parents need to travel with their kids for emergency or essential reasons, and that’s what this was! If you’re really that afraid of COVID, perhaps you should close till the pandemic passes, but if you do decide to remain open, you can’t pick and choose who stays as that’s descimination!

My in laws stayed twice while visiting from the UK and enjoyed both experiences. Prices were great and the staff was very friendly. Nice renovated rooms.
