I
was
looking
forward
to
Hibachi
Teppenyaki
when
a
friend
suggested
it
to
our
party
of
8.
Unfortunately
things
went
downhill
very
quickly
after
we
were
seated.
The
server
seemed
very
friendly
at
first
but
didn’t
last
very
long.
The
main
server
tried
to
impose
the
group
menu
onto
our
party.
With
the
group
menu,
everyone
in
your
party
gets
the
same
group
menu
foods
that
are
chosen.
At
first
he
attempted
to
deceive
us
and
told
us
that
the
group
menu
is
our
only
option.
I
tried
to
ask
a
secondary
server
if
that
was
legitimate
but
they
were
of
no
help
-
often
coming
to
the
table
to
drop
small
items
off,
also
with
no
smile
or
personality.
When
I
insisted
to
our
main
server
that
we
all
didn’t
want
the
same
thing
and
that
we
wanted
the
normal
menu
instead
of
the
group
menu,
he
changed
from
friendly
to
extremely
unpleasant.
It
didn’t
get
any
better
when
7
out
of
our
group
of
8
ordered
waters.
We
could
literally
see
the
smile
disappear
from
his
face.
And
it
never
returned
throughout
our
time
there.
I
guess
it’s
more
work
for
them
if
everyone
orders
their
own
meals
as
opposed
to
a
group
meal.
But
the
server
we
ordered
from
wasn’t
even
preparing
our
food
so
I
found
it
unnecessary
that
he
became
so
unpleasant.
I
personally
ordered
the
crispy
wontons
as
an
app,
the
steak
and
shrimp
teppanyaki
dinner
course
with
chicken
fried
rice
and
spicy
miso
soup.
The
spicy
miso
soup
was
good
but
not
spicy
at
all.
The
crispy
wontons
were
over
fried
-
please
refer
to
my
photo
where
you
can
see
they
are
clearly
burnt
and
not
even
close
to
a
golden
fried
wonton.
The
fried
rice
was
lacking
salt
and
any
sort
of
flavour.
The
steak
was
also
very
much
lacking
any
sort
of
seasoning,
flavour
or
rub.
The
shrimp
were
also
underwhelming.
Both
the
proteins
were
incredibly
bland.
This
is
a
Japanese
cuisine
restaurant
and
not
a
single
pinch
of
any
sort
of
Japanese
seasoning
or
flavours
on
any
of
the
foods.
A
secondary
server,
who
looked
like
he
hated
his
life,
served
us
two
sauces
on
the
side,
one
weird
brown
one
to
eat
with
the
chicken
and
beef
and
one
white
to
eat
with
shrimp.
But
no
explanation
even
as
to
what
the
sauces
are.
I
understand
that
part
of
this
restaurant
experience
is
the
performance
that
the
chef
puts
on
but
that
too
was
kind
of
boring
but
by
far
not
the
worst
part
of
this
restaurant
experience.
He
put
on
a
small
performance
while
making
our
bland
food
and
served
it
to
us.
Afterwards
he
attempted
to
throw
broccoli
at
us
for
us
to
catch
it
in
your
mouth.
I
guess
if
I
was
drunk,
this
might
have
been
somewhat
fun
and
maybe
I
wouldn’t
have
care
about
how
much
the
food
sucked.
The
entire
restaurant
-
service
as
well
as
the
food
-
is
not
worth
it,
especially
at
their
price
point.
With
the
upgrades
I
got,
my
bill
was
close
to
$75
for
just
myself,
all
for
a
dinner
plate
that
looks
like
I
served
it
myself
at
a
Mandarin
Buffet.
Except
the
food
from
a
Mandarin
Buffett
actually
has
some
flavour.
If
you
go
with
a
party,
it
seems
they
automatically
add
15%
gratuity.
Good
for
them
that
I
was
with
a
group
because
my
experience
at
this
Hibachi
Teppanyaki
didn’t
warrant
even
a
$3.00
tip.
The
service
was
atrocious.
No
smiles,
no
professionalism,
not
even
once
did
a
server
come
to
refill
our
waters.
The
food
was
dull
and
boring.
No
flavour,
no
seasoning.
The
chefs
performance
was
passable
but
ultimately
it’s
a
restaurant;
where
people
go
mainly
to
eat.
Unfortunately,
I
wouldn’t
recommend
this
Hibachi
Teppanyaki
to
anyone.
I
feel
this
restaurant
has
no
standards
for
their
serving
staff,
the
food
has
no
connection
to
Japanese
cuisine
and
therefore
you’re
just
paying
to
go
watch
a
chef
cook
your
food
for
10
minutes.
Overall,
it’s
not
worth
it
for
the
price
that
you
pay.
Go
somewhere
else.
