So we spent awhile looking for a good karaoke place to sing at (one that doesn't feel sketchy, we were there from 9-11pm) and we chose to come here. The guys at the front desk were super helpful and welcoming, even though we didn't have reservations (call ahead and make reservations, rn they aren't busy!). The interior is insane with the Egypt themes and little lights, but the private rooms are HUGEEE. I think you can bring a group of 6 comfortably in there and still have space. The food can be expensive, but if you want a light snack they have small plates for $12-$15. Overall, i am definitely coming back!

Very pleased with karaoke at Shrine!! Really good selection of pop songs — nothing SUPER recent, but all the classics plus some for sure! Perfect room for 30 people. (It’s supposed to fit 50, but I don’t think that would be possible.) Don’t be afraid to ask staff how to use the machine, as everything on the remote is in Korean. Easy to navigate after that! The room came with complimentary water and sodas! Was not expecting that😊 Alcohol and food is pretty expensive beyond that.

We came at the time of our booking and it was all dark, clearly not opened. We waited for a bit and nothing changed so we left. Felt quite disrespectful as we had booked in advance.

Came into town to visit my friend and we decided to seek out a karaoke place with private rooms. So glad we went to Shrine!! The reservation was a breeze (done through online and text messages). The place itself is very spacious (cool theme too!) The staff we met were super friendly, offering us help with how to use the system since we’re used to a different setup. They unfortunately had to close at 1am due to unforeseen circumstances on the day we went, so we only got to stay 1.5hr instead of the full 2 hours we booked, and they offered us tax free for the last half hour. Would definitely go again!

I was treated horribly by staff at this karaoke studio. Inhospitable staff. Wrongfully accused of something our party did not do & charged extra for something that they cannot prove. Do not frequent this establishment unless you want to be charged extra wrongfully. How racist.

the karaoke was fun as there was an option to use karaoke videos from youtube, however we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity without being warned about it. we also only got to do about 3 hours of karaoke but were charged for 3 hours and 30 minutes, because that’s the time we had the room booked off for us, however we were not left alone in those first 30 mins and therefore were not able to actually start the karaoke. so basically we got charged for 30 mins for nothing. overall it’s fun but be warned that you’ll be overcharged (cost 170$CAD for this). the automatic gratuity is ridiculous too considering the fact that we didn’t order any food and drinks so there was no service provided. i would not have tipped, so i’m annoyed that i was forced to against my will.

Great Birthday experience, the staff explained everything to us and helped tune the sound system to our liking! Great food selection and overall super tasty! Did the combo 😁

We arrived 30 mins late and our room reservation was apparently no longer valid, which was made for 2 hours. They also forced us to buy a bigger drink package (5 soju + 10 beers) instead of 3 because of being in "a bigger room" although the original room was for 10-15 people and we had under 10. And we didn't even get the beers. Paid $100 extra for nothing - we could have just left 30 mins early instead

I'm guessing the only reason this place has so many 5 star reviews is that they have a notice in their bathrooms saying if you rate them 5 stars and show them the review, you'll get something complimentary. Because there is no way this is a 5-star establishment. 1) You have to use YouTube to play music. Why are we paying a premium for karaoke when we're literally finding songs on YouTube? 2) The sound quality of the mics are not good. Cheap and very quiet. And I'm a loud girl. I just ditched the mics and started singing without them. 2) Food is expensive for its cheap quality. Their mozzarella sticks were weirdly powdery and gritty, like they were freezer-burned. A fruit platter was $34 for some grapes and watermelon. 3) We were told we couldn't get more plates for our food because the upstairs restaurant took it. What? So some of our party ended up sharing their plates with others. 4) This skinny guy working there was a bit rude. He was on his phone and didn't seem to care to answer my questions. The only reason why I'm not giving it 1-star is because there is plenty of parking, the service was decent, and the design of the place is neat. The place needs maintenance, though. It's a little dirty and rundown.

Fun karaoke place with an Egyptian theme. The food is pretty bad; I would skip the fries and just order alcohol. They also kicked us out at 1:30am (they're supposedly open until 4am!) because we were the only people there. Overall a little pricey but a fun time with friends.

If you want a good time, stop looking and start clicking. The karaoke rooms are spacious and the song offerings are great. Mark is amazing and made sure that we got everything we needed. Visit if you want a great time with your friends.

Shrine is amazing! We had a super fun time with a big group. Everyone got to sing and it was the best vibes. So great that they have food and drinks available too.

I went to a friend's birthday party at Shrine and was blown away by the unique interior. It was like stepping into another world! The atmosphere was lively and the service staff were 10/10, making sure everything was taken care of quickly! I had such a great time. I'm considering booking the place for my own birthday party. Can't wait to celebrate here again!

Horrific and hostile customer service. A very abrasive manager named Mark was corresponding with me via email regarding a reservation inquiry I made two weeks ago. He was communicating from Grace Bae's email, so it is unclear if I was truly speaking to Mark or to Grace. Either way, the person on the other end was extremely rude and lacked the professionalism any business requires. I was told that they only cater to those who drink alcohol during the weekends. So, if you do not partake in the consumption of alcohol or if you are sober, you are not welcome during the weekends. When I inquired about how they might typically accommodate any parties who dont consume alcohol, this very abrasive person proceeded to rudely respond by saying they are a private for profit business and If I didn't like it,I could go elsewhere. Ummm....huh? How does a valid inquiry warrant that type of response? I was asking because perhaps a food minimum could be offered instead. It was a legitimate inquiry that could have been politely declined. Instead, in very broken English, this person basically told me to "kindly" kick rocks. Lol. As if using positive words in the mix made the passive-aggressive email any more acceptable. Unbelievable. If this is the experience simply inquiring about a reservation, I dont want to imagine how they treat paying patrons. Your policies are very much your prerogative. However, a professional demeanor is always expected at any reputable and decent establishment. Beyond tacky! I would look elsewhere. There are many other karaoke spots offering a much more pleasant customer service experience. To the ownership, be careful with who you choose to represent your business. An abrasive, rude individual will cost you money and potential customers.

This was my first karaoke experience and it was amazing! You buy a room (it's cheaper the more people you have because you can split the cost) but it comes with complimentary water, sodas, beer, soju, and some snacks!!!! 10/10

Rooms are small and mostly occupied by an unnecessarily large table. No stage. Clean, service was friendly, but the song selection and its process left something to be desired. Same for the beer selection. Not bad, not great.

First karaoke that I went in LA. Paid $70/hr, got a room with no working mic. Literally had to scream on top of my lungs in order to hear slight sounds. Wouldn’t recommend. They auto charged some stuff didn’t even give me the bill.

Totally vibed with the karaoke at Shrine! They've got a solid mix of pop hits – maybe not the latest ones, but definitely all the bangers we love. The remote's all in Korean, but the staffs were very friendly and helpful, helping us with a lot of stuff because this was the first time we went to karaoke!

My group of 5 was charged $250 and we only spent $100 on food and no alcohol. We made sure that there was a set price before arriving to the spot but we were charged an additional amount for arriving close to closing time. I double checked the receipt and it still does not make sense why we were charged an insane amount.
