Terrific place. In my opinion best in Vernal. Extremely high quality ingredients. I appreciate that the chef uses the best of everything and the servers and chefs play attention to the details. My Garlic and Bacon cheddar burger w/fries was 11.99. Awesome deal. Our server was Micaela and she was phenomenal. One of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere was relatively quiet. Was an amazing experience.

It’s rare to have such a fine dining experience as I did at Swain Brothers Steakhouse. Staff was prompt, knowledgeable, and kind. Bartender Adam suggested a Sterling Cabernet I hadn’t tried before. It’s my new favorite! It was noticeable how all staff helped one another without prompting. Owner Jonathan moved and mingled with his staff and customers with ease. Do yourself a favor, and visit this excellent establishment.

Our hotel manager recommended this to us and I was very impressed. Cool vibe and long history, good recommendations on beer (smoked directional porter) and supper (Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo).

It’s always fun to come here when we’re passing by. I had the grilled ribeye steak medium rare it was very tasty. My husband had the prime rib and it was to die for.

Once you taste the food at Swains, you will want to keep going back for more and more. The environment is clean, the staff is friendly, and they have a wide selection of food items you can choose from. Other restaurants out here just cannot make food the way Swains makes it, especially my favorite foods. You will definitely get your moneys worth at Swains when it comes to the size of the food portions, along with the unlimited free rolls when you run out. They also serve breakfast a few days a week, so check with them on breakfast hours also. I highly recommend Swains 100% and I will keep going back for more. Thanks Swains.

Got the Cattlemans Burger. It is amazing. Sweet BBQ sauce, onion rings, bacon, and cheese. The fries were so good. My wife got the Pesto Chicken Sammich. It was really good, artichoke hearts, Chicken, cheese and pesto sauce.

The green chili burger was good. The blackened prime rib was amazing! I was mad at my wife when I found out she ate my blackened prime rib leftovers. I don't get mad over leftovers but there is always a first. Finally made it back again (3 years later.) I ordered the blackened prime rib. Still taste amazing, just like I remembered it. Only issue was my steak was overcooked. 9 out of 10 rating. I also got a side of onion rings. They were nice and crispy, and seasoned well. I would rate them 7 out of 10

This is a destination!! Don't miss this place if you are anywhere nearby. The menu is amazing. The food outstanding. A map of the river in the floor leads to the restrooms. The service is excellent. We had the sunburned mussels. I've had mussels all over the US and Canada. These are hands down the best anywhere. The shrimp artichoke Caesar was good but they drowned the salad in some cheese dressing. Leave that off next time. Otherwise it's a wilted lettuce salad not a Caesar. The hamburger with green chilies, avocado, etc was incredible. My husband ate half and simply couldn't finish. One burger is enough for 2 people. The Parmesan fries were excellent but eat them hot when they first come out. This place was so good and had such an interesting menu we're coming back for lunch before we leave Vernal. I want to try their fried cauliflower with buffalo sauce. Frankly I'm tempted to just get appetizers so I can try more of their interesting menu. What are these people doing in Vernal!?! Second day: the fried Buffalo cauliflower is so delicious. Love the Sriracha sauce. I asked them to add enough to make it pink.. perfect! Oysters Rockefeller excellent. Side salad with blue cheese excellent. The dressing must be homemade it's so good. The homemade rolls with honey butter were so excellent yesterday (they came with the meal) we ordered them as a side today with our salad. Honestly I'd almost move to Vernal this place is so good.

Arrived early for Prime Rib, but it was already out. Disappointing. Make sure to have dinner at 4pm in order to get any. Seems like they need to re-evaluate how much they make of it. We ended up having ribeye steaks that were just okay. We ordered medium rare but half my steak was rare and the other half was rare. My wife's was completely rare. I suspect their grill has uneven heating. The waitress was really nice though.

I've eaten lots of food here and I've never had any complaints place is great especially the half off burgers on Saturdays. Every time I come with the fiance I get treated pretty well almost like family. My recommendation is the shrimp pasta the shrimp is never over done or undercooked. And the sauce they use is awesome!!🙃

Absolutely, great!!! Our waitress was so amazing!! Would recommend 100% so sweet and really kind!! They even lit up the fire in the table for us! It's an amazing place for any occasion, Thank all of you at, Swain Bothers!

Stopped in the other day for a burger and beer for lunch on my way through town. Can’t say enough good things. Place was spacious with upscale yet unpretentious decor. Would be a fun place for a celebratory event. I felt immediately at ease when I sat at the bar as the bartenders and a customer were having an easy-going conversation. Unfortunately I’ve had some pretty chilly service at other establishments more than once when passing through Vernal in the past, so Swain Brothers was a pleasant change. Bartender that helped me was awesome. Was recommended an amber ale by Vernal Brewing and it didn’t disappoint. Got a basic bacon cheeseburger and regular fries but both were still super solid and tasty. Would recommend and will be making this a staple when I pass through Vernal.

We were pleasantly surprised. Service was great, our server Gavyn was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. There chicken fried steak was so good, the gravy was definitely home made. Really enjoyed my Salmon, the sautéed veggies are delicious, I wouldn’t recommended the asparagus.

Our waiter was excellent - friendly and great service. The Chips and Queso was very good. My wife said the chicken fried steak was excellent. Give this restaurant a try if you are traveling through the Uinta Basin.

We were hoping for a little more from this place. Keep in mind we didn't have their steak and that is what they are known for so we'll have to come back for that. Breakfast was quantity over quality. The food tasted good but not amazing. It was a little pricey but you do get your money's worth it's just not an amazing flavor for the money. We probably wouldn't do breakfast here again as it tasted like what it would if we made it. The atmosphere was very friendly and clean and the service was great.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting Vernal. Great place that was actually open on a Sunday night when most everywhere else was closed. I had a burger that was cooked just right, fried pickles, and after a long day on the road it was the perfect way to end the day. Service was fantastic. Atmosphere just what the doctor ordered. Absolutely recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area.

We ordered Chicken Fettuccini n a Shrimp/Artichoke salad! The Fettuccini was very good, but my Caesar salad was literally soaked in dressing! I'd have it again but with the dressing on the side! A yr later n had it again but asked for dressing on the side!

I got the Atlantic Salmon and a Bahama Mama. The server was nice, the fish was juicy and tasty, and the drink was great. My partner got the ribeye. It was juicy and tender.

Very generous portions at reasonable prices. We were there after the normal lunch rush, and they seemed under-staffed, so service was a bit slow. However, if I was in the area again, I would definitely go to Swain's for the good food.

Really loved the prime rib with mashed potatoes. The meat is actually done the way you request and not overcooked! The buns are amazing, they alone can be a meal haha. Next time I'm in town I'll remember this spot for sure.

One of the best steaks I have ever had! Loved the service, the menu selections, and the entire atmosphere! First time I have ever seen the map with all it's detail in THE FLOORING! Most certainly the best restaurant in town!

The food is excellent. My husband and I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich Special with garlic parmesan fries. The sandwich was amazing with melty gooey cheese, savory prime rib, and mushrooms, served with horseradish cream sauce. The garlic parmesan fries make me never want to eat regular fries again - so good! The service here is always weird, our waiter looked and acted like he was also the cook, but he was great and kept our drinks full and attended is well.

Very good service and some of the best French fries I've ever had. The Cattleman's burger was excellent as well. Service was very good. We were seated and served quickly at lunch time. I think that I may have spent almost as long looking at the menu as it took for them to bring out my meal.

Went to the new location for the first time this morning for breakfast and had good food "couldn't even finish such a huge meal". Great service Kota I believe was her name was awesome and friendly. The place looked nice and for the most part clean "floors under the tables could have been swept as there was a knife that was not from our meal left behind" The old location was hit and miss, great one time not so great the next so I hope that has changed and it's great every time at the new location.

We had great service and yummy food. The burgers are big and the patties are large and great quality meat. The beer batter fries are yummy! We liked the shrimp artichoke salad but would get the dressing on the side. The sweet potato fries are yummy but they do have cinnamon sugar on them if you like more savory sides.

Had brunch here and it was great! The food come in big portions and was delicious, they offered their own fun mimosa type drink that you could get with out without vodka and it was pretty good. Our waitress was amazing. I'll be back for sure!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Great food and service! Also it is super fun to bring your non-local friends to show them old pictures of the town while waiting for locally brewed beer.

Amazing food and service! Kaytia was our server and did a fantastic job! The steak was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The Caramel Pecan cheesecake was outstanding as well!
