Múli

Ghost town

🫤 We were told that this was an abandoned village but seems things have changed? It is very much inhabited and while there is a small parking area and 2 public picnic tables, there are no public washrooms in sight. All walking paths & buildings appear private as well. There appears to be a village map...

We were told that this was an abandoned village but seems things have changed? It is very much inhabited and while there is a small parking area and 2 public picnic tables, there are no public washrooms in sight. All walking paths & buildings appear private as well. There appears to be a village map signboard but the map or postings have been removed. Good views at the end of the Buttercup Road leading here and some very friendly sheep (they came running at the sound of a cookie packet being opened!) but roads are bumpy with loose gravel and potholes so it’s a bit of a trek out for 2 picnic tables.

Do not disturb sheep and people who live there! Just walk quietly and enjoy your views! The road is very rough so be careful because you can get a puncture in the tire!

Small abandoned village. Nice view especially on the way there. The road conditions are bad.

Really nothing to see here. A beautiful landscape with super crazy cliffs but other than that nothing will blow your mind in this town. It is also not a ghost town.

Road isn’t too rough. Any vehicle should be able to make it. Cute town worth a few minutes of your time.

The road is not so good but it’s possible to go to the end. Beautiful view and interesting place with information desk. One can go further across wild fields and see cliffs.

A town at the end of the world. There were people staying here when I came but according to the sign some people will come to stay in the summer months to tend the sheep. The sign provided great history of the town and explained the sorcerer and where he is buried now. The road to the city isn’t maintained but it was pretty good to drive to. I had a little rental car and it made it just fine.

I almost didn’t go based on the reviews but so glad I went. 1) the unpaved road is not nearly as bad as some described and no, you are never in danger of falling into the ocean like one review noted. We had a tiny Picanto and made it there just fine. 2) like all Buttercup routes, this one is super scenic especially in good weather.
