Looking for a traditional and local place with an excellent selection of food and wine? Well this is it. Came in on a Wednesday during Camino. Be aware dinner is served from 7pm but you can order tapas style. Waiters were very welcoming and attentive but spoke little English. Food was incredible and felt fresh. Note the portions for tapas are rather large so 2-3 for 2 people would suffice. The locals came in at around 7 and felt like we were part of the neighbourhood. Highly recommended also price wise very reasonable for the quality and amount of food.

We came here for lunch and we where so lucky! Our waitress was Marcia and she was great! Super friendly and careful. We had probably the best sword fish that I ever had! It was amazing! For desert we had the pão de lo with cheese, none of those was great. But the sword fish was so amazing that this place gets a 4

AMAZING! Stopped here on the Camino and had a lovely surprise. Although dinner starts 7pm (I arrived around 5ish) you can order some tapas which are serves in very big portions, so you might be cateful how much you order. Tasty, traditional and fresh - all I can say. Lovely staff, little english, but manageable ☺️. Conclusion: try it and you won’t regret it. Pinned it in my favs.

It's really cosy, has tasty food at very low prices and you can enjoy contact with local people, as they are the customers mainly, we haven't seen any foreigners there, except us. They don't really speak English, but if you order"dish of the day" it's not a problem at all. The meals are big enough to feed you well. Update after a year. They are still awesome and have one of the best "vino de casa" I ever tried in my life! Also, if they will tell you, that fish in Prato de día (Dish of the day) is bacalao, then rather go for the meaty one, as it's extremely difficult to eat it. ;) Also, try to speak Portuguese to them. They really appreciate that and all of them are so nice to you, if they see you trying. And better have cash, as their card terminal rejects non-portugeese cars, even revolut, that really surprised me.

We came on Saturday, around 1pm and the place was full. They have a desk on the wall to book a table. It took around 15 mins to get a place. We had mussels for the starter (delicious and huge), swordfish and codfish as a main course. Swordfish was very soft and almost melting :) but our friend had octopus and I liked it more :) 2 water + 2 starters + bread + 2 main dishes = 27€

Fabulous local feel! Perfect if you want to be the only tourist in the restaurant! The menu of the day had 2 options. We chose grilled sardines. The starter was a lovely vegetable soup thick with bits of carrots and greens adding texture. The sardines were delicious and came with boiled potatoes and sliced tomatoes. The meal includes bread, beverage and espresso - all for under 10€!

Authentic lunch. Meat or fish. Our family of 4 had fish. Tasty and very reasonable. Busy with queues, so get there early. Name gets put on a whiteboard with number of guests and gets called when a table is free.

Being in Portugal for the last two weeks, this has been the best codfish I’ve had. One portion is enough for two people. It’s divine!!!

Great swordfish and Bolo de bolacha. It’s definitely worth to try octopus tentacle.

The freshest seafood I’ve had yet! Loved the ambiance. I had prawns and swordfish, so delicious and cooked perfectly!

Awesome food and service. They do not make reservations, but it is totally worth the waiting! Highly recommend the Swordfish, and the Pão-de-ló is unbelievable

I was alone so I was lucky, bigger groups had to wait for 30-60mins... Grilled octopus + vine + cake = 25€ They have terminal for cards but don't like it much so it was possible to pay only cash... Very nice lady was taking care of my service, so it was worth the money!

We went there at 5pm. Ordered a glass of wine with cheese and ham board. We also had vegetable soup - really good. Beautiful food - nice wine - excellent service - very friendly owners.

Fresh fish for sure made this place extra special, as well as a strong nautical theme with many pictures of Portuguese vessels who sailed Newfoundland waters.

Fantastic food at cheap prices. Fresh mussels, prawns and awesome swordfish. Slight wait as it is popular but you can call and reserve and once there, they will bump u up on the wait list. Poundcake was really good too. Great service

I highly recommend eating here. We heard about it from our Airbnb host and thank god we took her advice. The picanha, the mussels and the espadarte were absolutely amazing. The sardines and the grilled calimari were also very good. The desserts I did not like as much though. The service was great and the owners were very friendly, in a sarcastic way but very friendly. All in all an amazing place, specially considering the price; we would have payed double in Madrid and the quality wouldn't have been half as good.

👍 Have been going to this restaurant for a long time. It's been recently redecorated. A very big restaurant on the sea front. If in season, you'll need to arrive early if you're wanting a sea view. Gets very busy and noisy. We only had soup, pizza and hamburgers. The vegetable soup was very good. The...

👍 Food looks great and comes with generous portions. The veal with alheira crust was quite poor and with a lot of nerves. Conversely, the seafood and entries were fine. Service is efficient and reasonable. Priced accordingly (12~20 euros for most dishes). Several flies kept coming in through the (clos...
