A wonderfully cosy place with its dark wood panelling to spend a few hours or an evening in good company and a great selection of classic tasty cocktails served with a smile. Recommendation!

Wood and leather decoration of style and quality. Soft light and good atmosphere. The alcohol rack is huge and fascinating. Good and fast service. Very attentive. The only but is the menu, quite ridiculous for a place of this level.

Great classic American bar - leather couches, dim lights, selection of cigars at the entrance. All the spirits you could want. It is on the more expensive side, although not overly so factoring in its location and quality of drinks. The bartender is always happy to give recommendations, personally I’m sticking to the classics as they are always done exactly right. Naturally there’s a divide between the smoking and non-smoking area, however the glass wall and door is not exactly great at keeping them separate - so if you absolutely can’t stand the smell of smoke, you should be looking for other places. Aside from that, it’s a very solid choice for drinks.

I've been visiting this cocktail bar for the last 20 years but recently had a terrible experience with one of the waiters. I was asked to show my green pass which is a digital covid identification pass on a smartphone. He scanned it then to my surprise was asked what vaccine I had which I none of his business then I was asked another question about my health which I don't want to post here . Then on top of that I was asked to show a letter from the health institute Vienna . I didn't have my reading glasses with me at the time but offered to show my identity card after a few short minutes he said it's ok you can stay seated . terrible terrible customer service that ruined what would have been a great evening

Something to know about this place... You can't enter without leaving your jacket at the entrance. And then you must pay to get your jacket back... I absolutely dislike such behavior. Sounds like robbery to me. Of course we decided to go for a cocktail somewhere else where we could keep our jackets.

(10/10/2017) - Kruger’s American Bar in Vienna is a lovely place to have drinks. It was so chilled and the decor is lovely. It was slightly pricey but the cocktails were amazing! I would definitely go back if I were to visit Vienna again!

The staff is honestly so nice! They are so knowledgeable around cocktails and so genuinely polite! Try “one night in Venice”, it is the tastiest!

We loved the dark and moody atmosphere, but the service was sadly not very friendly and the drinks were pretty mediocre for the high price.

Outstanding looking venue but poor cocktails execution. If you calls yourself “american bar” there is only two cocktails book you can follow: The Savoy Cocktail Book or Charles Schumann’s Cocktail book and you must follow specs. The cocktails were shaken with not enough ice in the tin therefore were watery, no double straining (more water), no classics specs were followed (I ordered a Last Word and it came with simple syrup and no Green Chartreuse). The staff was nice, the Bar Manager has work to do on the recipes.

As a seasoned traveller, I struggled to recognise an 'American' theme. Prices are in the 'you must be joking' categorie & the atmosphere in this well appointed 'gentleman's club vibe' was, frankly, boring. If that's what you want... its fine

Kruger’s bar is one of the most exquisite experiences you’ll have in Vienna … the drinks are incredible the options are limitless … the bartenders are friendly and the mixer is just amazing … 10/10

Awesome place, old wood, lots of leather, amazing cocktails from the bartenders, and a separate smoking section with some nice cigars.

Some suggestions to the service: - let the customers to take their time and have their drink instead of constantly coming to the table and ask "are you finished?" - stop taking the unfinished drink out of the table without asking then back put it back down when you realised it's unfinished - when the table ask for the menu for second round of drinks, please make sure you give one each so they don't have to squeeze and read it together - don't bring the bill until you're asked - don't curse at customers when they don't tip you, it happened for a reason, or in my case, reasonsssss I've been here a few times and always loved the drinks, I might still come and that's exactly why I'm writing a review cuz I think everyone deserves to enjoy the place.

Great place to spend an evening in Vienna. Excellent location, friendly personal, big choice of drinks and cigars. Beautiful interior. The place designed for cigars lovers, but because of the pandemic, you can't smoke inside.

Came for drinks and cigars, but was told that you cannot smoke cigars inside, even though its supposed to be a cigar lounge. Unaceptable state of cigars in their humidor, cracked, mouldy.

The drinks are really good but the atmosphere is not as nice as is used to. There is now a compulsory coat check for 1.50€ which probably is trying to be classy but is actually just really rude. Either not have it or make it free, if you want to be a classy bar because service and friendless matter.

The location, interior and staff were all good. The cocktails were a bit too sweet for my taste but hey, it's american, right :D Anyways the reason I give 4 points is because I was expecting something ..well, more American. Maybe beer in pitchers, baseball running on tv in a corner of a bar, and a barkeeper to whom you can tell your life story while they polish glasses or something.

Ambiente is ok, but feels hollow. Drinks seem basic for the price, waiters aren't very helpful, which I expect them to be when I spend 13€ for a drink...

Great atmosphere, friendly personnel, maybe a bit too popular for a Saturday eve 😉
