This is one of the best intercontinentals I have stayed at. The hotel is centrally located in a beautiful part of Vienna. The interior is spectacular and recalls the old days of Vienna you read about. The service is perfect. They also gave me a postcard to send to a friend! The downside is the spa is somewhat limited compared to Berlin or Barcelona.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Staff, very nice bar and restaurant and amazing breakfast buffet. I stayed there for almost 1 weeks and enjoyed my time. Location was so good that most tourists attractions were about 20 min walk. Obviously it is a bit pricey compared to other hotels but you can feel the quality.

Excellent location, lovely classical rooms but recently renovated, hotel has such a lovely classical original flair! I hope they will not refurbish it... especially cafe and bar downstairs is lovely. Everything was perfect during my stay , view from my room was amazing too ! Windows open completely so you have access to plenty of fresh air - amazing !

This hotel is quite old, and it shows. The old style construction with very low ceiling heights of rooms too. One night we received a knock nearly at midnight as the technical folks needed to check if there was a leakage of water from the bathroom ( seems like the lower floor had an issue). So they woke us up! (But found nothing). The lobby of the hotel had a very bad smell for some reason. I had to call it out! The Bathrooms had some towels with Hilton labels, each day! So no one really able to see this? Strange! The breakfast is served in the basement level, so doesn't quite feel great as there are no windows/day light. Over all, a sub par experience for an Intercontinental Hotel.

My flight arrived in early morning. Luckily we were able to check in early and took some rest before started the sightseeing activities for the rest of day. The location is great right in front of state park underground station. When I saw the ballet in Vienna state opera house, it took just one station away or 10 min by walk. Its breakfast buffet is well served with abundant choices.

Pros: Great breakfast, mostly nice and helpful service. I expected the hotel to be old, it was actually rather quaint. Cons: The tap in the bathroom was leaking. Although they offered a free shoeshine, it was not provided. For the price, I'd expect a little more helpful staff especially at the reception.

This is a particularly excellent hotel! I stayed for a business event. The hotel is in great shape, rooms comfortable and clean. The entrance and front bar have been beautifully maintained, including a magnificent chandelier over the bar. Breakfasts were beautiful and plentiful. They even had surprisingly excellent Austrian red wines :) And I can’t fault the staff who were friendly, attentive and helpful throughout. I’d planned to see some classical music while I was in Vienna, and the concierge even guided me to the best concert based upon what she knew about the acoustics of different venues! I’ll be sure to book here again next time I am in Vienna.

Wonderful staff, very attentive. The views were lovely too. It’s well located next to a metro stop. The breakfast was fantastic. Very diverse buffet with attentive waitstaff! The beds were comfortable and the AC/heat worked well. The windows even cracked open a bit which was nice for fresh air. In general the rooms were nice, but there’s some wallpaper peeling and basic upkeep that was lacking. Even repairing some peeling wallpaper and touching up nicks on wood trim would make a big difference.

What a wonderful hotel! I read some of the other reviews and have to say I am so glad I chose to stay here. This hotel is what I think of when I want an elegant, warm, traditional hotel. Wood paneling, bartenders in white jackets, attentive, and relaxing. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to assist with any request. The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of options to choose from no matter what your taste. I will be back again. If you are looking for a modern artsy hotel this probably isn’t for you. The rooms are spacious and housekeeping does an excellent job of cleaning and providing anything you need.

I recently stayed at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Vienna for five nights, and I had an excellent experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's location is conveniently close to the city center, making it easy to explore Vienna's attractions. The services provided were of top-notch quality, and the staff members were friendly and welcoming. If given the opportunity, I would definitely choose to stay here again. My overall experience at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Vienna was truly enjoyable.

One of the best Hotels, other thank their classic quality, cleanliness and nice food, their staff and managers are amazing. One of the managers Tomas Masarik was exceptional in how he attended to, and resolved a few challenges I had whilst at the hotel. The treatment was Gold Standard, Intercontinental, you are the best. Thank you!!!

Great service and location The staff is quite friendly and always want to help others even if the questions from me is out of their duty such as how to top up SIM cards. In addition the location is good for travellers to visit the whole city on foot. On the other, the facility is quite old, but it is its style, yet, from my side, it is fine, because it doesn’t cause any negative effects on using.

Good location but not outstanding. Rooms are comfortable but showers are outdated and only work for shorter people, mattresses are very hard and the only outlets for charging are far from bed. Could use updating.

Fantastic hotel, perfect for a city-break in Vienna. The hotel is well located so you can walk to all the central parts of the city, and is right on top of an U-Bahn stop for easy travel further afield. The rooms are well appointed and have great views, and breakfast was fantastic - with a huge selection of food and freshly made omelettes and eggs etc

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. Great location and delicious meals. My family would definitely stay here the next time we visit Vienna.

Luxury hotel right next to all the famous spots. Check in is quick and efficient. Great bar for long late nights with plenty of barmen to make sure you are served super quick. Well appointed rooms with mine certainly having a great view of the strasse.

Wonderful, classic hotel with comfortable rooms, impeccable service, and the most complete breakfast buffet I have ever seen! Please treat yourself to coffee, cake and perhaps a cocktail in the classy lobby lounge with its enormous chandelier!

I loved this hotel. The location is perfect, literally 20 seconds walk from the Stadtpark U4 tram station, which provides excellent links across Vienna. It's about a 10 minutes walk to the centre of Vienna and close to all the main tourist attractions. It's huge inside, with plenty of space. There's a nice coffee shop and a very vibrant bar in the evening. We visited a number of bars across the city and this was the busiest one in the evenings! Nice atmosphere and buzz. The rooms are traditional in style, a little worn out in places, but perfectly acceptable. Lots of facilities, plus a lounge for premium members on the 12th floor with wonderful views across Vienna. The breakfast was great in the buffet on the ground floor, but service in the Lounge was extremely poor. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we'll be sure to revisit

During check-in, as soon as I presented my vaccination card, I was informed that masks are not necessary inside hotel 🥳 Location, lobby and restaurants looked very nice as you would except from Intercontinental brand. I still can't get used to the fact that Spire Elite members are treated like anyone else: no access to the club and no complimentary breakfast. I did receive 600 points and I think they told me my room was upgraded even if it didn't look like an upgrade.

The hotel is excellent located near the central park, where the famous monument of Johann Strauss is. The metro station is just across the street. Walking to the St Stephen Cathedral and the entire city center is very easy, even with our toddler. From the moment of check-in we really felt pampered, thanks to the very warm welcome received at the reception. Our room was so nicely prepared with the extra bed a nice amenity for our daughter. The breakfast was reach with plenty of choices. I was impressed that you could get even fresh vegetable juice at your choice. I would recommend adding the access to the Club InterContinental to your reservation for the nice atmosphere, stunning views, tasty food and excellent service.

This is my second stay at hotel, overall it’s a nice hotel somehow temperature is not maintained in rooms and increasing ac (reducing temp) make too much noice, this was in both rooms. Breakfast is good, nearby area is nice. Rooms are ok size, bathrooms are very small. Both are generally bigger in other countries Intercontinental hotels. Rooms are ok for couple or solo but definitely not a family size room.

We went there for our wedding anniversary. The hotel was kind enough to give us a corner room with great view. As a diamond member, we also got free breakfast which was absolutely delicious. The location is convenient and easily walkable to the museum and shopping area. Lastly, the jazz bar is wonderful.

We stayed here from 18 - 22 November and the hotel is amazing! They upgraded us to a suite upon arrival and the room was amazing! The breakfast in the morning was so good and tasty! The hotel bar was great and the staff were always friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

The hotel Staff is very helpful and nice. Breakfasts are very tasty and restaurant is cozy and atmospheric. Rooms should be a little freshened up as some we can see little imperfections. We will back here for sure!

Incredible location in the heart of Vienna. This hotel has just about everything. The rooms are super comfortable with nice beds and amenities. The Nespresso in the room was fantastic (might not be in all rooms). The buffet breakfast was great (shout out to Christina for making it even better). The selection was good with many options. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was getting zapped every time I touched anything (I think they have an electrical ground fault or something). Would definitely stay here again though.

Amazing hotel stay experience, their breakfast is one of the best. Room was sufficiently big and the window view was really good. I'm not sure if ramp access exist for people with special need but the ramp will also help carrying our luggages on wheels to the hotel instead of climbing stairs to reach main entrance. They do have assistance service for any luggage carry help. Location wise not bad, 15 mins walk from centre city. Highly recommend hotel and will visit again if I travel to Vienna. Thanks to all the hotel staff for your amazing service.

Very comfortable satisfying stay. Appreciate the corner room over looking the park. Stayed here 2 different times on our 70 days 7 countries tour of Europe. Treated very well here. Definitely would return Thank you IHG. Management.

Bar area and overall food is incredible. Services is up to the mark , but hotel needs renovation, there’s a bad smell in the lobby area and elevators (probably from rugs), rooms were quite outdated. They don’t have pool ( unbelievable for a 5star hotel) but probably it’s an Austrian thing , been in another hotel of similar prestige and also without pool in Viena. Not the best hotel of this prestigious hotel chain for sure.

We stayed here with a Geocaching group right before Danube cruise. The service was exceptional the room was exactly what we needed and very spacious. We were really impressed with the quality of everything from the Buffet in the morning to the amenities in the room. We would highly recommend staying at the Intercontinental for anyone who is looking for a room in Vienna.

You have been warned! I stay in Intercontinental hotels all over the world. This hotel is in serious need of upgrading. The rooms are very old with limited electrical outlets. The fitness center is a joke. No pool or jacuzzi, only a sauna. If you book at a lower price they deny you club lounge access even if you are Ambassador Diamond Elite. They offer you access for an additional 80 Euros per day. If that was not bad enough, if you use the hotel ATM you pay 119 dollars for 100 Euros. The bank ATM down the street gives you 100 Euros for 101 dollars. Someone is getting a kickback.

Good hotel with a brilliant location but as others have said the hotel is in need for a complete make over. Rooms good size however the bathrooms are tiny. But it’s the location you are paying for. Seconds away from a station and great walking access to all the tourist spots.

Nice Decorated Room. Good location. Love the mix of modern and traditional decor and location is good depending on what is your stay of purpose. Quick business meeting over night stay. Definitely near airport to catch a early flight. Staff friendly polite and helpful. Restaurants nearby.

Me and my husband absolutely loved our stay here! Our room was spacious, staff was lovely and the breakfast was great. If we stayed longer we would of used the fitness/sauna/steam room facilities- we only had time to check it out and we were impressed.

My recent stay was outstanding. The service was stand out for me. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left every single member of staff treated me like a queen. The service was on par with the top London hotels like Claridges. My room was immaculate and the breakfast was vast and delicious (despite me being particular!). And I loved the bar area. I highly recommend and cannot wait to come back.
