Excellent location in a diverse area of central Vienna. The hotel is surrounded by excellent cafes, restaurants and even has an ice-cream shop next door. Access via public transport is a breeze with buses, trams and the underground all within a short walk from the hotel. We liked sitting outside for breakfast or in the afternoon in the shade as a respite from the heat. Inside our room we could open the windows and there are hooks for summer hats and jackets. Clean, practical rooms.

One of the best holiday inns I have ever stayed. The front desk ladies are so wonderful and warm hearted, the breakfast has super quality, and the room is amazingly comfortable! I didn’t expect to have this kind of great experience in Vienna, and I am happily surprised!

Wonderful friendly and efficient staff, really nothing was too much trouble. Our room on the 7th floor was a tad small, but beautifully decorated and really clean. Hotel was warm, always loads of hot water and good showers. Breakfast was great and plentiful, even late in the morning all dishes were replenished. In a quiet area, close by were bus and underground stops. Would definitely recommend.

Great hotel, enormous breakfast, kind people, amazing experience! If you're planning on going to Vienna, I suggest you stay at this hotel. It's really close to the center and metro station. All the stuff is super kind and helpful. Your stay there is going to be pleasant and unforgettable! :)

What a great hotel! Good location near restaurants and public transit. Clean with decent sized rooms. But what made the stay great were the little things. The staff was wonderful. Housecleaning always went above and beyond. The staff always greets you when you come in. The server at the bar/restaurant was super friendly and the hotel even puts out cake everyday. When we come back to Vienna we will definitely be staying here!

There is hotel paid parking, which is on the left side of the hotel. Wasn't too easy to find given all the one way streets, maybe a bigger sign would be nice. Other than that, the staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are really clean and nice. Breakfast is not free and I think there is a bar right in front of the hotel, so there's some noise till late in the night. At the end, my stay in this hotel was really pleasant.

What a wonderful hotel with the float hospitable staff. The rooms are very clean, bright, spacious, with everything you need. The gym also has a very nice gym which provides you with more than just the basic cardio machines. The location is also great with everything you need around you in walking distance and bus stops very close by which take you to the city centre. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Vienna.

Our family had a perfect three-night stay here. The experience began delightfully right from check-in, with professional and friendly staff at the front desk. We arrived early, expecting to just drop off our luggage and head to the city, but to our surprise, our room was already prepared for us - what a pleasant surprise! The restaurant staff were super friendly too. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner here, and everyone loved it. The room was very clean, and the bathroom water, sourced directly from the Alps, was drinkable. The room was well-equipped, though the only downside was the lack of international sockets, but thankfully we had brought enough adapters. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely choose this place again on our next visit to Vienna!

Hello, We started our first day getting in at 9:00 AM local time. I knew our rooms would not be ready. The woman at the desk, Esther O, was wonderful accommodating us. She gave us some great ideas to explore while we waited for our room. We got back about noon and she had everything ready and our luggage delivered to our rooms. Our travel partners were on the same floor. The rest of the staff, Paul, John, the cleaning staff, and I forget other names were just as friendly answering our questions, giving us recommendations and all out being helpful. The hotel is located at a great step-off point for all transportation. The one flaw would be the mattresses. Some people like sleeping on a sponge. I like a nice firm mattress for my back, but they are hard to come by. The mattress in our room had no side support and I ended up getting another pillow to stuff under the mattress to prop it up.Thus the 3-star rating for sleep comfort. However, this seems to be an ongoing theme recently in my travels and hotels. I will still highly recommend this location if you are visiting lovely Vienna.

This hotel is a must stay when in Vienna. The front desk staff greet you with a smile and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is amazing. Genna was beyond helpful in not just offering places to explore, but also going out of her way to run down to the parking garage to assist in holding doors to get my luggage through. Susanne also assisted in getting my larger luggage downstairs with the assistance from an associate. Paul the bartender is a next level bartender and human being. He was incredibly friendly and would assist with going down the stairs with the stroller literally every time. Finally, the breakfast staff are absolute sweethearts and ensured I always had everything I needed. I could go on and on but you must visit to experience this amazing hotel family!

We stayed at the hotel on 19-24/11/2022. We booked King Deluxe with Single Sofa Bed, family with two kids, which was very clean and spacious!! The staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We really appreciated their behavior towards our kids!! Gave us advice for sight seeing, transportation and restaurants! Special thanks to Costas in the restaurant area! Location was very good, although it was a small challenge (also due to weather conditions) for us since we were travelling with an infant. About 15-20 min walk distance to city center and 7-10min to metro station! Definitely recommended!!

very friendly staff - the rooms are very well cleaned. Checkin is a breeze every time - the staff is well prepared. Breakfast is not very extensive, but of very good quality. Rooms on the garden-side are very quite. The "garden" itself is a great courtyard for having a drink of some food in the evening. Location is a bit outside the very busy tourist area, but close enough to enjoy the city. Highly recommended space to stay in wonderful Vienna.

I was staying in October for 3 nights and must say that next time I am in Vienna, I will definitely book this hotel. The infrastructure is great with lots of small cafes and restaurants around, 5-minute walk to the supermarket, 10-minute walk to the subway station and Naschmarkt. The most important for me was the room, how clean and silent it is. The bathroom was snow white and spotless, the floor, furniture and all surfaces were without any stains or hints of dust. It was very warm and cozy. I slept with my window open, nevertheless I did not hear any noises from the yard or the neighbours. Thank you for the pleasant time! See you soon!

I stay at 40+ IHG hotels every year, and this is amongst the best Holiday Inn hotels that I have stayed at. The location is good. It is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Vienna. However, the area it is in is nice, with shops, bars, restaurants, etc., within a few minutes walk. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially a receptionist called Suzanne - a great IHG ambassador. The room is what you would expect from a holiday Inn, i.e.: ok size, clean, etc. Our room looked out over a residential side road, which was quiet. The breakfast was good, with a wide selection, which was frequently replenished. Based on our recent stay of five days, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed between 13 - 16 November during our Vienna trip. The location of the hotel is 10-15 minutes walking distance from the city center, 15 minutes by metro. We had a clean and comfortable room. The breakfast is very good. When we arrived at the hotel, receptionist Susanne told us about the city. It was a very warm welcome. And other employees were very attentive. We thank them all.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It is close to the city center. If I go to Vienna again, I’ll probably stay here again.

Wonderful across the board. Huge rooms, comfortable beds, nice clean bathrooms, great breakfast, specially their freshly baked gluten free breads. 2 minutes walk from a very convenient bus stop where 4 different bus routes come following the other within every 2 minutes to take you to the main center - so connectivity is very very easy. Their staff is still the biggest part of what made our stay extremely pleasant. The team at the reception, the restaurant as well as the bar are always ready to help you with anything. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Vienna City for four nights (a business trip but I travelled with husband and baby as am still breastfeeding) and we were very impressed and happy with our stay. Lovely, clean, well serviced rooms, impeccable public areas, delicious breakfast and brilliant, child-friendly service from reception, restaurant and bar staff. Everyone was helpful, welcoming and friendly - literally all the staff we came across went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and went above and beyond with customer service, but we were especially well cared for by Genna on reception and the barman who my husband says is called ‘Yulzan’ (my husband is notoriously bad at named though!). Highly recommend this hotel.

Some things were great, but general comfort was an issue: - On 2nd floor our room was boiling hot in winter. Heating is centrally controlled, we had air conditioning at 5 degrees & it didn't change the room temperature much. Only option was to open a window every night. - Bed is on the hard side, often wake when you turn in your sleep. Pillows are terrible, they say 1 firm & 1 soft pillow but both pillows are so soft we had to fold them in half & stack them to get neck support. During the night they come undone so you wake up & restack them again. Hotel fully booked over new year, so no pillow change available but I think all their pillows are like this. Bed covers are warm & comfortable but are 2 separate single covers on a double bed - no snuggling! - 8 English speaking TV channels mostly news but 2 movie/TV drama channels the signal goes out every 10mins or so for around 5mins - really frustrating, they need to fix this. - Internet isn't great, often low or no signal overnight & middle of day (difficult to work this way) & you are logged out every 24hrs, so need to keep logging in. - Mini bar with plenty of room in fridge for your own food/drinks. - Manager's attitude was quite poor for everyone I saw him deal with. Though front desk staff are great & helpful with maps & info. Bar staff are very friendly. - Location is safe & quiet to walk all hours. Hotel is outside city centre but good transport nearby - 5 to 10mins walk for buses 13A & 59A, Tram 1 is 18mins walk, Underground train 4 (metro) is 15mins walk. 40mins walk to old town centre, they'll tell you it's 20mins - it isn't. - Nachtmarkt (open air food market also restaurants/cafes) 20mins walk. Good Indian, Chinese & Thai restaurants next to hotel but avoid Cafe Meinklang Hofladen across the road as they don't like tourists. Many small supermarkets 5-10mins walk in all directions. - Cleaning staff are fantastic, friendly & efficient.

Awesome hotel. Staff were sooo friendly. The room was perfectly clean and a great size. Had all the things you’d need/want from a hotel like a fridge, tea and coffee making station, toiletries. Really enjoyed my stay here, and as I was checking out, the staff gave me a little gift which I thought was so lovely!

I loved everything about this hotel. The room was spacious, and clean. The bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were beyond friendly. The location is awesome. It's only a 5 minute walk to the Kettenbrückengasse U4 line station and a hair farther to the Naschmarkt. And it was very reasonable in price too. I loved the little neighborhood restaurants. Plus it's a very safe area, even at night.

A nice location in Vienna. People are friendly, and has a good service. The breakfast is amazing, with variety fresh and delicious that can't be beaten. I've been to many Holiday Inn, but this by far serve best breakfast. Bar is nice also, bartender very nice.

Its also near a vegan ice cream store that serves really good ice cream. The bar is opened late in the evening. They have nice back yard that amazing to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Its a good location to enjoy your holiday!

Beautiful and cozy Hotel with friendly and extremely helpful staff. Each and everyone of the staff members ensured to make every experience so comfortable for us during our stay of 3 Nights and 4 Days in February 2023. They have been so jovial with us and they provide excellent guidance in visiting Vienna City!! We were completely blown off by the hospitality offered by the Hotel. Loved loved loved it!!! Would definitely recommend it to my friends visiting the City!!

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. They compare thousands of hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure! Great experience. And excellent service. The staff is very helpful and considerate when treating with foreigners, specially if you don't speak the language. The bar-restaurant inside the hotel was a life saver since multiple times we could not find a suitable place to dinner. The food on itself was very good and we were always well attended.

Hello We visited Vienna end of January for 4 nights and we are very lucky that we come up with this hotel. From the first contact Suzanne was very nice kind and helpful with all our questions. Having two families of 4 people, it was not easy to start, but the staff was very nice and attentive all the time. They arranged a pick up service for us with an excellent driver, and they gave us 2 very nice family rooms. Nice and clean rooms and very comfortable beds and pillows, which was everything you want after so much walking in the city center. Vienna is a place you have to walk a lot, so that was very re-charging coming back here and sleep well. Breakfast was another boost to start a day, with variety of things to eat, anything you might want to start your day they have in here. In the night a nice traditional "Apple Strudel" is served with nice drink to finish a full day. Paul, Rene and all the staff was something that you don't see very often nowadays. Very helpful, happy and always available to do anything you will ask them. Thank you guys for our nice stay. Vienna is definitely a place we will be back and Holiday Inn is definitely the place to stay! We will back!

Very quiet hotel in close proximity to the city center. Super friendly staff, clean, nicely appointed rooms. Did not have a breakfast in the hotel but right next to it is a great Propellel cafe. You need to try sourdough sandwich! However, we ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant. Wiener Schnitzel and the deserts were really good (see the photos).

Holiday Inn Vienna is in the south of town about 25 minutes with car from the airport, VIE, or 40 minutes with public transport. A word of warning, book parking in advance as it is limited and the garage is not made for big cars! The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar with extra seating in the courtyard, and should you fancy something else then there is plenty around the hotel. There is a small but good gym in the garage level. The hotel is a lot of Vienna sights with in half an hours walk and public transport is readily available within a few minutes walk. The rooms are a good size and good standard, however som are a little quirky due to the building style, but it adds to the charm. Overall a nice hotel at the city centre.

I just got back from Vienna and stayed at the holiday inn Vienna city hotel while I was there, it’s not often I write reviews about where I stay but this hotel is well worth more than a five star review, from the first moment I set foot into the hotel until the moment I left the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming, the buffet breakfast was amazing with lots to choose from, the dinner menu was excellent with lots To choose from and again the food Was out of this world, my room was clean and cosy with sky tv, the hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre which is the only slight flaw, but if you want a great hotel, with Excellent staff and service then I highly recommend the holiday inn Vienna city hotel. I’m definitely going to stay here again the next time I visit Vienna.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at this Holiday Inn. Great view from the top floor, convenient location, clean rooms, but the real highlight was the staff! Especially Wolfgang who covered the breakfast shift and cheerfully chatted with us each morning about our plans for the day. The breakfast buffet is fantastic.
