We stayed at the hostel for 5 days. It is almost next to the Westbahnhof in Vienna, very well located and a few blocks from Marianhilf. The hostel's atmosphere is relaxed, young, calm. We booked a private room with a bathroom. These rooms were on the top floor and accessed by password and magnetic card. Breakfast is charged separately, super cheap, simple but very tasty. There is a bar in the basement of the hostel that has a Pocket show once a week. At reception there is a pleasant lounge to relax and chat. The room was comfortable and simple. From the window you could see the Westbahnhof station. Regarding the service provided by the hostel staff, it was very good and objective.

The environment is great and friendly, nice location near public transportation and markets. The staff is super kind and cheerful. But the bedrooms have a poor structure. The beds are old and make some noises when you move. I thought the bed sheets were clean but later I found out that it probably had some bedbugs leading to allergic reaction all over mine and my friends bodies with bad sores and itching. I'd strongly recommend to take your own bed sheets if u are planning on staying there.

Excellent experience from the first moment to the last :) i stayed for a single night. Clean rooms and amenities, comfy beds, super friendly staff. They have a box of random items if you happen to forget something (toothbrush, shower stuff, etc) you can buy for 2€. My only criticism is the lack of power outlets next to certain beds, including mine.

Loved my stay here, near the city centre. Clean room, clean bathroom (ensuite, love that). Also big room with a lot of space, even a table and some chairs. A free drink and they have free tea which I always love when hostels offer that. Amazing price, amazing room, amazing service and amazing hostel 10/10

Lovely staff, aways willing to help and the bar was always a fun place to meet people and have fun. Only issue is the actual room could have been better (All Male Dorm). The room had a pretty bad smell and the mattress and pillow were pretty hard and offered little comfort.

We arrived very early, was no problem to put our luggage in a room. My friend needed to breast pump, we got a private room to do so (before checking in and after checking out on the last day). Very friendly staff. We only slept in the hostel, we had a big room and a very comfortable shower!

A place unsuitable for spending the night. Yes, convenient location, clean comfortable rooms. But we didn't have to sleep at night. Both from the street and from the corridor all night long there was shouting, neighing, stomping, roaring. It felt like you spent the night in a nightclub.

Excellent hostel, great bar, the laundry room was brilliant for us as we had been travelling for over two weeks and needed to wash some clothes. Nice walk (if a little long if you don’t like a walk) along the main shopping high street to the centre. Only slight grumble but it is a hostel and it is down to the hot weather. Rooms were very hot to sleep in and struggled to get them to cool with the fan provided.

The hostel is fantastic! It includes a pub inside, the atmosphere is really young! The location is perfect for using public transportation, and it is not really far from the city center. The room are really essential, could be better. The bed is good. The breakfast is cheap but not so full, could be improved.

I really liked my experience with Wombat’s Vienna - The Lounge. It’s a nice hostel with a good atmosphere and facilities (you have a bar, kitchen, laundry). There’s also breakfast for €4,9, which is fair as the food is good and varied. I would say it’s a nice place to stay for a few nights as it is well located, very close to the Westbahnhof, so you have easy access to metro, tram and trains and you can go anywhere around the city from there. I would also like to mention that the staff was very nice and helpful :) The downsides were: the keys to the rooms and lockers stopped working very often (I had to change twice) and the internet didn’t work so well, especially in the rooms, so this can be kinda annoying. I would also suggest putting on curtains on each bed, so the individual lights don’t bother the others in the room and each one has more privacy.

It's a wonderful hostel where I've stayed several times now. Spacious common areas, quiet enough, comfortable, great location, good value for money. I have only two negative comments: the Internet connection was not very stable and reliable and the towels are not given together with the linens; one needs to ask specifically for them, which is not convenient. Other than that, I would recommend it and will come back again.

This hostel is farther from the areas I frequently needed to visit. In spite of that, the 3 essential things that make Wombats good is there was no free desktop with internet to use, a basement bar, and the train and tram stops were in close proximity. Otherwise I wouldn't have liked this place at all. The downstairs bar sets this hostel apart, compared to other hostels I stayed in within Europe. It was a great place to meet and socialize with others. The kitchen is also a good place to foster conversations. The hostel has the basics I need. I liked that there was a washer and dryer and you had the option to use either one. Used the washer only. I also liked that there was an activity going on once a day. The size of the breakfast area and common area is pretty good. I like that there is a mall and 2 grocery shops next door.

Really cool interior and lots of space to hangout in. The front desk was super helpful and answered every question I had. Breakfast is pretty good, and costs 5 euros, but they don't let you pack food for lunch. The rooms are very basic, and a little outdated. You have to make your own bed, which is really hard to do on the top bunk. I got bit by bed bugs, and the staff were really great and moved me to my own private room. I would recommend staying here if you need to be close to the Westbanhof station.

It is always a pleasure to chose Wombats Hostel: Kind, available staffs, good facilities and lots to do indoors that won’t get you bored if you’re a lone traveler. Keep up the good work, guys.

The staff is great and very helpful. The hostel's kept clean and nice. I had to experience the Wifi being terrible though. Disconnecting all the time and being slow. My room was hotter at night than during the day, which I found weird. However hot days = hot rooms even if we had windows open and a good fan. Big, comfy dining and chilling areas. Loved the security system for the lockers and rooms. Good value for money overall.

I had a greeat stay in your hostel. The staff was really very friendly and willing to help wherever they could. The rooms were clean, but the bathrooms could be cleaner. The breakfast for 4,50 Euro was really worth it. The atmosphere at the bar is really nice. I liked also the music were much.

I am a student and went on my school trip there. It was very disgusting considering we only slept in the hostel. There was hair in the bathroom, mold in the room, bathroom and hallway, bed bugs in the bed, beetles in the room, my bed had to be screwed down because otherwise it would have fallen apart. And depending on whether you booked something fancier or something rancid, you got either rancid or nice dishes for breakfast. There are sofas down in the lobby that are so broken that you can sink in and take off the cover and see what's inside. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Hostel was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is for some reason the door to my room opened in the middle of the night on my second night there. Not really sure how that happened, but all my belongings were in tact either way. Loved that lockers were free and towels were available upon request. Also, the room was quiet at night and no noise from the bar traveled to my room which was very nice.
