I give it 5 …not because it’s a 5star hotel.. But …the proximity to the train station and transport into the centre make this hotel a bargain.this will be my return Hotel for ever now. The room was perfectly adequate ,comfort, size, and the cleanliness daily was perfect.the staff were all excellent and even printed off a document for me.Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. I stayed 14 days and the bed was above average in comfort.I recommend this hotel for the tourist.however it is not a luxury hotel but totally perfect for the active tourist.

Honestly, we would have given the hotel a significantly better review had the front desk people cared AT ALL about their guests! Especially at Christmas time. We had an issue with one of the rooms and their key cards. Each day we would have to go back down from the 5th floor to the lobby and tell them the key cards were not working. They repeatedly told us there wasn't anything wrong with "their system". They tried blaming the issue on our cell phones.

Apart from location of the hotel our experience was v poor. There is a scaffolding, balcony door doesn’t get locked properly, AC makes noise(we had to change our room once) receptionist is quite rude and unhelpful makes you feel as if he is doing a favor on you, doesn’t know much about suggesting sightseeing places, housekeeping does not clean the room even after putting make my room. We stayed for 4 nights our room was cleaned only once after I complained. I would not recommend this hotel

Worst experience from a so called 4 star hotel more like a budget hotel, Building work going on, bar only open once then had to wait 20 minutes for ice left to go elsewhere, Breakfast poor quality for price €12.50. Duty manager never available on site. No tea/coffee facility's in room, don't think there is enough staff at the hotel and most of them didn't seem motivated, possibly because of the many problems this establishment has and receiving so many complaints. I will never stay in this organisations establishment again, I've stayed in many hotels this is the worst experience I've ever had I didn't give it a 1star but couldn't post without giving it a star

Okay, I saw a lot of bad reviews here, but I really don’t understand any of them. First of all, the hotel is much cheaper than it should be. Well, let’s say that first impression from the outside wasn’t that good, but when we get inside, we immediately changed our minds. Very nice lobby with bar and small area for relax. Let’s talk about room. Someone said here rooms have paper walls and you can hear neighbors talking etc. Total nonsence. We’ve been there for 3 days and I didn’t hear anyone. Someone said there was hair and stuff on the ground. The cleaners cleaned our room everyday and the room was cleaner than my own house. Also there was AC right in our bedroom, which wasn’t even mentioned. (At least i didn’t saw it when I booked a room.) About breakfast. I was little bit skeptical, because I read it’s not worthy of 9€. But in my opinion it was really worthy. Because try to find breakfast where you can eat what you want for 9€. Good luck. Summary: Very nice, clean and cheap hotel near city center and Hauptbahnhof across the street. Nice and helpful staff. You really get a lot more than you pay for

I'll let the pictures do the talking... The cockroach was a guest at breakfast. I feel for the staff working here, they're clearly doing what they can, but there's no way I can recommend the place based on my stay.

A black straight haired lady with thick lips at the reception was RUDE since the check-in. She didn’t seem to welcome the guests and wouldn’t like to answer my questions. I kept trying to be nice but when she didn’t want to give me extra towels and seemed bothered, I reacted with strong attitude and finally she gave in. If you don’t want to be kind to people, why would you work at a hotel? I don’t really understand. You shouldn’t be doing a service job. And this is not a 4-star hotel.. Very old and nothing like pictures online. Scaffolding covered the entire hotel and the staircase was also covered with stuff used for construction. I don’t even want to rate 1 star. Choose a different hotel and avoid this one!!!!! I regret my decision for choosing this one. The only pro was that it’s close to the main station, but that’s about it.

checked in here as a solo female traveller and staff were so friendly and made me feel so welcomed! offered to order and bring food to my room when i arrived late at night, gave me advice for transport etc. Single room was decently big and clean. Five min walk from train station so was really easy to get to the airport and really close to the belvedere. Busy road but surprisingly quiet once you shut the windows :)

🚅 Great location, right across the street from the main station (Wien Hbf), which is great when traveling through Europe by rail. Also a few blocks away from a U-Bahn station and tram stop, connecting to the city centre. A few minutes walk away from Belvedere 🛏️ The room was somewhat small. Had a balcony with a couple chairs, which was nice. The heating was set really high, we weren’t entirely sure how and if we could control that, so most nights we ended up just opening the balcony window 🙋🏻‍♂️ Staff was helpful and were available for anything we needed. Breakfast was also offered on the first floor

A short walk from the main train station, which is a shopping centre as well. Rooms were not a bad size. In the middle of a refurbishment, so bar was not open. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and as the bar is not open, the only time to get a cuppa is at breakfast.

very old hotel and the service was really bad. THE WIFI DIDNT WORK. gave feedback to the front desk and she said she would fix it but it was merely lip service. it’s 2023 and there’s no wifi in this hotel? unbelievable. upon checkout, the guy at the front desk asked whether we drank the bottle of water in the room (it was labelled complimentary) and we were shocked as he wanted to charge us for it so we asked “wasn’t it complimentary?”. he laughed scornfully and waved us away saying “it’s fine it’s fine” as if he was giving it to us for free instead of him making a mistake on his part. very unimpressed by their service. in addition, while we were returning to the hotel at around 11pm, three of the hotel staff were standing directly in front of the main door smoking and did not make way for us even though we were clearly trying to enter the hotel. although the rooms were like a normal old hotel room and the toilet was decent, i would not recommend staying here to anyone, especially if you need wifi.

When we arrived, the hotel was under construction, but don't let that fool you. It almost did us. As we walked in the lobby, the A/C was off and the air was humid and thick. We almost changed our mind, but Maida was instrumental in keeping us there, and we are glad we did. She offered us a free room upgrade and worked very hard to get us early check-in since we arrived in the morning. She was professional, yet very accommodating and pleasant. While we waited for our room, we were able to stay near the breakfast area and their staff knew we were tired and offered us something to drink, which was greatly appreciated. The room was clean and had a split bathroom layout, which we liked. Maida helped us several times in figuring out where to go in Vienna and what to do. The hotel had several perks that we took advantage of during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay there and our time in Vienna. Upon checkout, there was a slight issue, but Meriam was very pleasant and was able to resolve it. I can't wait to return to the hotel next time we're in Vienna, especially since it is so close to the train and bus stations and to see the hotel after the construction is over.

A place in need of a revamp, which was indeed underway in September 2023. Our room was small, dark and hot. The buffet breakfast was not great and the dining room was cramped and hot. Maybe we got them on a bad day. We chose it because it is a short walk from the main station.

This hotel is situated in a great location beside Vienna’s main HBF railway station. Whilst the common areas are tastefully decorated in vintage décor, I’ve marked this hotel down for the room furnishings; walls need a re-paint, old firm beds and pancake flat pillows.

Location currently under renovation. Rooms are modest, but couldn't control temperature. Had to open door to outside. On main road so lots of sirens. But, close to trains and transportation.

Small hotel, rooms are comfortable, only one person at front desk. Location is good because of the metro a block away; otherwise 5 min walk to belvedere but 30min walk to Stephenson.

The location is near the railway station. Rooms are a little small but overall a good stay.

Good hotel for that price. Still under construction so there will be noise during the day. Due to the double glass door on the rooms you hardly hear the outside traffic.

The hotel was great, the stuff was really nice to us, and breakfast had a wide of variety of options. It would have been perfect if it wasn't for a bad experience with one of the workers in the reception. My last day I went down to ask how much it would be to stay one more night. A very nice receptionist looked it up in the computer and told me it'd be 79€. So, I went back to my room to change my flight tickets first and then back to the reception to add one day to my stay. But now there was a different worker in the reception, and he says that the price is now 95€. I tried to explain him that the other worker told me just one hour before a different price, but he even doubted I was telling the truth. So, after trying to convince him to talk with the other worker I finally say that it's okay, that I'll pay the new price. But now he says the price is 108€! What? At this point I feel I'm being hustled so I go back to my room to look for another hotel. By the time he called me to my room to tell me that the price is 95€ again I already had another hotel booked.

It would've been a decent hotel if only they had mentioned ongoing renovations in their listing on Booking and other platforms. This is not just an hour a day of noise. The noise is constant and starts from 8ish and continues all up to 5 something pm.

It's not a 4-star hotel. It's an average hotel. Rooms are decent, nothing much provided, except for the bed and chair. Some construction work is ongoing so it gets very noisy. They charge pretty high for the breakfast and there is nothing special about it. It's near Vienna Central Train Station so that's good for travelers. The two lady receptionists are very rude there.

If u want to be close to the main train station then location is gr8. If u want to be close to the city center then location isnt good. Everything is worn out and tired about this hotel. Rooms arent that clean..the hotel is under construction so scaffolding right in ur face when u go to the balcony so that didnt feel safe as workers are too close. Didnt like it..too expensive for wt u get. Breakfast is soooo poor..4 stars hotels? More like 2.

So let's get this out of the way, when booking it at no point stated they were having works done. Scaffolding outside the building and there was a day where we had no water during the day for 4 hours. The breakfast for 10 euro per person certainly wasn't worth the asking price and I would recommend going one of the many local cafes to get something for breakfast. Front desk was really helpful and staff were generally friendly.

Even though the hotel isn’t in the city centre, it was so easy and fast to get there by train. Looks amazing inside, rooms are average sized, but very nice. The best thing about it was the staff though - they were so helpful and kind, the maid cleaned every day and even folded our clothes (like what??). We had to leave at 3am to the airport and we were curious about packed breakfast, but we forgot to ask about it day earlier and just asked on the last night (7pm or so). They said that unfortunately the breakfast cooks won’t do anything on such short notice which was very understandable, but when we checked out, the staff gave us two lunch bags with a yoghurt, fruit and some bagels. That was so sweet and unexpected, amazing! Highly recommend!

Appalling place. In over 40 years of travel this has to be the worst hotel I have stayed in. Newmarket Holidays should be ashamed to send their clients here. Even their travel rep was embarrassed to have her customers see their hard earned money wasted. Not remotely even a 2 star hotel.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Lovely location very close to the Vienna Hauptbahnhof. Looks very nice and is easy to access, room was clean and had ariconditioning which was a blessing during hot days in Vienna.

We booked the hotel and had no idea that only 3 out of 8 floors were in use. And in the elevator there is a notice asking for the guests understanding if the noise due to the works being in progress. Hotel has a huge red scaffolding on it/in front of it and in front of the entrance. Me and my siblings (all 20+) slept in one room, and our parents in another. Oh my God. Our room is soooo crammed, there is not even 0.5m inbetween the beds, the drawers beside the beds cannot open because the bed is too close!!! The luggage stand was in front of all 3 beds and , if opened, it blocked the passage. So I closed it and put it behind the dooor. I cannot open the balcony door all the way because of my bed being too close to the entrance of the balcony. The view was horrible - of the scaffolding I mentioned earlier. The air conditioning's lowest temp. is set to 22 degreese celsius. 22! It doesnt even work. No buttons responding! So we had to keep the balcony opened (blocking the pass from bed to bathroom), the noise pollution is horrible. Trams, buses, ALOT of emergency services speeding with sirens on, cars.... The sound isolation is bad. I can hear people in the hallway. The staff is polite. The hotel is close to the main railway centrale and underneath is a mall, it's decently close to restaurants, cafes and Vienna centre. However, with all the problems mentioned earlier, in conclusion I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Sunday, 29th of May, 2022.

Five stars to a four star hotel. Close to the Hauptbahnhof, and the Belvedere castle. OK sized room, clean, service minded staff. Breakfast has a basic choice of breads, cold cuts, cheese etc
