This central station is relatively new so it is not surprising that it is modern and convenient yet I like this station a lot. It is conveniently situated, well connected, though of course the entire public transport network does not converge towards this station as you would come to expect knowing central stations in other, predominantly German cities. All in all, it is easy to navigate, it has some good gastronomic options and it gives you a pleasant, safe feel. They did a great job designing and building it.

Beautiful and looks modern, but actually retarded and no functionality. No plus to charge phones, not enough place to sit, junkies, homeless people all around, dirt, broken benches, toilets are not for free(what a joke) etc etc

The Vienna Central Station has a lot to offer, if you fancy something to eat, you will certainly understand many options, there are many restaurants, there are many bars, there are generally many shops. However, the railway station is complex by the. You get lost quickly and don't know where to go. Got I don't think the directions are very well done.

Good location for easy transport to almost anywhere. Good shopping on 3 levels. Very modern and clean. The only downside, and to be fair this is most large cities now.. is the number of homeless people confronting you for handouts. Sadly, one can only give so much. 😔

It is a very modern, clean, well-organized, spacious railway station. It's good to come here, it's good to get out of here. There are shops and eating or coffee places. You could leave your luggage here, very clean toilet (amazing) and not cold place for waiting your trains. Good location and many underground and tram to connect and travel to the city if you stay in Vienna.

A central travel and commuting hub for trains, U-Bahn, streetcars, and buses, the main station also lends itself to a quick stop for groceries on the way home or some shopping for gifts or items of daily use. It's very accessible (wheelchairs, strollers, people with visual impairment) and overall well maintained. However, the constant smell of old frying oil in the big hall can ruin your mood (it's a little better in summer). Try to avoid the grocery store (Spar pronto) on Sundays: super unfriendly manager, not worth the chaos.

Great place. Information boards could not be more clear and useful. Clean and tidy, no litter! Train was on time to the minute! Airport service so convenient! Download the OBB app to purchase e-tickets straight to your phone!

Very very busy main line station. Traffic coming on from quite a few European countries. You can access the platforms and just sit a while, watching world go bye...

In the temporal hiccup of a two-minute station sojourn, I danced with the ghosts of commerce past—shops shuttered, Sunday's silent sigh echoing through the corridors. A brief journey through time and retail regret, where even the clocks seemed to tick mournfully. Many folk would have chuckled at this intersection of fleeting moments and closed storefronts, a whimsical dance of transitory dismay.

Comfortable railway station with lots of shops, cafes (some of them are working even on Sunday night), underground station, bus terminal, tram stop etc.

So many shops but many people in the night waiting for the train or homeless people sitting on the chair. If it's daytime, you will only get fun. Very clean and easy to find the shops.

i live right outside of this place so i visit it almost everyday. a little bit chaotic but generally well structured. the big supermarkets downstairs are great. try to avoid the supermarket upstairs on holidays by buying what you need on some other day. my only complaint would be the lack of free toilets causing random people to go in the neighborhoods streets for their bathroom needs which is quite annoying tbh.

I really like the structure of the main station of Vienna. You have one huge screen that shows departures and arrivals. There is also an ÖBB ticket counter and lounge. You have a lot of shops here to do last minute shopping.

A very modern and clean main train station (compare to other European countries ). Huge in size and there are many parts. The red U-Bahn line connects here too (Südtiroleplatz). However, the signage can be a but confusing and quite easy to get lost. Good selection of shops, supermarkets (even one that opnes on Sunday! ) and food hall style eateries. In Austria, trains are operated mainly by Öbb which is state owned. The ticket service center can be very crowded and long waiting time.

The guy on obb ticket service didn't won't to tell me that was another ticket service (that I didn't saw) and he told me that he don't know anything about the train that i asked for(i show him a picture of exact train that i want to take)so he could charged me 30€, and ticket to Brno on other ticket service regiojet was only 8€

I bought a ticket to Lienz in OBB app but it turned out that the ticket is for different station. The stations are shown only in German and a foreigner who doesn’t speak German don’t know what is central railway station and what is not. They said they couldn’t refund and I bought another ticket from the ticket office. Neither train number, nor platform number, nor time is printed on the ticket. For me as a foreigner who don’t speak German is not easy to find the information I need. Edit It’s actually not that bad but one needs a while to get used to

Very clean and safe. Easy to find platform and departure information. Staff in OBB office especially helpful!

It's a big train station, connected with all the public transportation - local trains, international trains, metro, local buses, international busses, so it could be a bit tricky to find what you are looking for. If you have time, it's oke, but if you are in a hurry, it may not be so pleasant. you'll find McDonald just outside and an italian place, Osteria. Inside you have shops.

Modern train station Shops close too early Food market Spar separated to 2 areas over evenings and sunday for some funny Austrian regulations so you need to wait twice

Great variety of shops for entire family and for different things anyone may need. Plenty of restaurant or food options too. I had a great shopping experience with my kids after we dropped kids grandma to the train.
