Photos on Google maps and booking are NOT reflective of the room we got. There was mold in the shower and the apartment just felt damp and unclean. The entrance to the apartment building is broken and anyone can enter. I called beforehand asking for parking and was told it was "no problem" and when we arrived there was no parking reserved for us which was very annoying. The location is great though.

I know this is dramatic but if you’ve seen “Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel” on Netflix, you know what I’m talking about! Seriously...This hotel room was scary. Apart from that it was super dirty, loud, neighbors smoking Marijuana most of the day, the room we stayed in was completely different from pictures. No ventilation. Had to ask the hotel staff to come clean again...Still don’t know how that happened during COVID. We stayed at hotel Alda later in the trip. Less stars but way way better...

Friendly staff but poor hotel. The hotel can only cater for 8 car parking spots so must park on the street. Room is basic, beds are hard and there's a bathtub instead of a shower - you can still have a shower but it's dangerous getting out. What you see is that you get - no additional perks e.g. hair dryer, minibar. Staff were accommodating, they allowed us to have breakfast early so we could catch our flight.

I stopped here 1 night in April 2022 doing the Portuguese Camino. It was a fair walk off the Camino route, but worth it to be in the centre of the city in a good location. The hotel is quite small and floors can be accessed with a similarly small but well lit lift. The bedroom area I had was admittedly quite small, yet the bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom, so overall there seemed to be a reasonable amount of space in my room. For walkers wanting to do a bit of laundry there was a free standing heater that I was able to dry clothes on - a lifeline. Reception were helpful when I needed advice on where to buy a new phone charger. Breakfast for me was quite restrictive as they didn't have any gluten free bread/breakfast items to go with the ham and cheese. The breakfast room was pleasant as was the coffee and drinks selection. On an evening there are countless places to eat and drink in the city. No need to go too far though, I found a good bar just down the street on the left showing football and where the barman really went out of his way to provide me with some excellent gluten free food. Overall Hotel Celta is small, very clean, very well placed and good value for money. Would I stop here again ? Yes, definitely good for short stays

Me and my girlfriend had a very plesant experience. The receptionist Vanessa was super friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The room was really cozy and the breakfast had great variety as well. I would gladly spend another night here :)

Front desk reception employee (with glasses) very nice attitude! First floor room, I could only stay for 20" seconds, then I changed to 5th floor room which was much better and especially for not a big price difference. So I suggest you actually check the room before you book it! The 5th floor room was renovated with large sized double-glazing windows that blocked most of the sound, unless of the seagulls!! Nice bathroom, hot water, 2 portions of coffee, good bed.. Internet had its problems, disconnections and limited speed. Breakfast felt kind of limited. No fruits. Hope this helps!

Smelly bathroom, room is too noisy and the breakfast is very low in terms of offering.

Good value for money and it is clean. Bedroom door locks not easy to use. There is a small lift to floors. Good selection for breakfast. Beds reasonably comfortable, bathroom large, no idea what it's like in summer I didn't see an aircon, no views other than the street if at the front. Wardrobes, bedside cabinets and a desk in each room I saw. Take a kettle though if you're like me and require lots of drinks. My friend struggled a bit with explaining how to make a cup of tea, they never really got the idea, by the end of our stay an understanding was reached that she would make her own tea just provide the hot water and milk. Very central and has parking underneath and handy minimarkets across the road... No tea bags though. Some staff more helpful than others, and in a crisis this can be unhelpful. very limited English spoken (typical for the region though).

Clean and tidy. Smart tv in room and great location. No air con in room and shower was slightly broke.

Stayed there 3 times. Highly recommend this place for its value and cost. Reasonably simple but very clean and comfortable

They don’t have real mattresses, just futon beds. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast is a joke, don't pay for it, go out instead. Two stars and not one just for the location.
