Five stars for creativity, the cocktail program, and the outstanding service. The food is highly innovative, perhaps a bit too innovative for my personal taste, but nicely executed and presented. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Symbiose.

We recently dined at Symbiose in Bordeaux and had an amazing experience. The meal was a 10/10, with the shared antipasto platter being a standout. Every item was local and fresh, leaving us very satisfied. Both our mains and desserts were enjoyed. This restaurant is definitely one of the best, with their magnificent cocktails adding to the experience. For warmer months, I would highly recommend sitting outside, although the inside is also beautiful.

When we arrived we noticed that most clients were foreign tourists, which, I'm not going to lie, concerned us a bit. But this is no touristic place, the food was excellent and filling. Vegetables are exceptional, the chef really knows how to highlight their natural flavor. The cocktails were well balanced. Only downside, the toilet need some renovation.

A nice speak easy bar in the historical heart of Bordeaux. I've been coming since the beginning and it is still one the best place for cocktails in Bordeaux.

We had the tasting menu with wine pairings - and started off with two crazy good, original cocktails. Simply amazing experience from start to finish - and was my my favorite food/wine experience in Bordeaux. (We had three tasting menus on successive nights at three different places.) Every aspect of the meal was perfectly executed: the precision of the food, the pairings of the wine, and the lovely service and hospitality. Totally magical.

We read a lot of good reviews about this place, so we were really impressed and motivated to have dinner here during our stay in Bordeaux. We give 4 stars and not 5 because, at the end, maybe our expectations have not really being met due to a few details that (in our opinion as customers) would have made the difference (and made gain 5 stars). First thing to say: the staff is very friendly, everybody was nice, they speak English but we have noticed a bit of disorganization and a few basics missing (like a long wait to clear the table after guests finished their meal or a long wait to order - not just us, all tables). They were enough people to well serve all customers so it was really a matter of being disorganized. The menu is very attractive, original, amazing taste combination. Mise en place fantastic and creative (you can see the photos) but, also here, a few points to comment: we were two and ordered three dishes, it was clear we were sharing (nobody asked). They brought us the three dishes all together (and no side empty dishes to let us share). Two of the three plates we had were cold dishes (tartare and tuna) but the chipirones should have been hot and they arrived cold, that was really a pity. The dessert was absolutely amazing and we recommend the chocolate/whiskey cake. Also the cocktails amazing. So, give a try at this place, because in the end they have a great potential and we are sure they can improve this little details to reach perfection (we’d love to be back here to try again and see!)

The mood and friendliness of staff makes Symbiose stand out - our waiting team were only too happy to talk us through menus, offer suggestions and request alterations from the kitchen to make this a memorable experience . The cocktails should not be overlooked here

Top service and fine drinks ahead! Definitely a gem in the Bordeaux dining world! We had the set menu for lunch- everything was great 😃👍 loved it

Not sure why this place has such high reviews. The service was chaotic and awful. The cocktails were bad and wine was just ok. The cheese plate was excellent, but everything else was just ok with bland flavor.

Semi-gastronomic dishes, great atmosphere, entitled chef and team. I was surprised by this restaurant. Great and atypic cocktails. Menu is updated daily during summer. Definitely to check out if you're in Bordeaux.

I came to try Symbiose's lunch menu with a friend. The pricing seemed extraordinary for a Michelin guide restaurant at less than 20 euros and we were excited to try it out. The restaurant is very small, and well decorated, with a wood heavy rustic feeling and a nice bar space. We opted for the starter and main combination. The starter was very avant garde, and looked more like a abstract painting than a plate of food, but featured some interesting combinations in terms of taste and texture, although there was so much going on it was hard to pick up on individual nuances. I enjoyed the main more, and an excellent pork belly, that was crisp and simultaneously melt in your mouth, was paired with in season vegetables. Overall, I would strongly recommend Symbiose for a lunch, or dinner visit. Bordeaux has a multitude of very good bistros, and it seemed incredulous that we paid 20 euros for such a creative, and well cooked meal.

Great cocktails in wine land? Yes, it’s possible at Symbiose! Cozy speakeasy bar hidden behind the grandfather clock. Inventive drinks and efficient service despite the crowd. About 11-13 euro per drink. A few coveted tables in the entry area.

Great place for lunch. Went for the lunch menu, a good price point for the quality of food. Exceptional starters and fantastic roasted legume in the plats!

Came here for dinner and it was great. The staff is very friendly and informative. The cocktails are amazing (had Chichen Itza as an aperitif and the Buffalo Old Fashioned with my chocolate cake dessert - great match!). The food was equally great. Had 4 plates to share amongst 2 and that was plenty. I can only recommend this place!
