Wonderful small wine museum that gives you the history of Bordeaux and the wine industry that flourished there. It’s quite a small place but the price properly reflected that and was a good place to go! Properly enjoyed myself and learned a lot; the final wine tasting was a nice touch and helped to further learn about the difference between the regions

Actually we loved this one even more than the Cite du Vin. This one is quite small, but it's more about trade and Bordeaux than overall wine world. The guided tasting exceeded our expectations and was fun and informative. The merch is also fun! And for the price of the ticket it's a bargain.

We loved our tour of the museum. We actually preferred it to the big modern one. Some amazing history and the wine tasting at the end was excellent. We learnt a lot. Highly recommend ❤️👍

This authentic museum is found off the beaten track. I enjoyed the beautiful details you can find about wine making within cellars. Staff is helpful. €10 per adult which includes wine tasting of two wines. Highly recommended for any wine lovers

Beautiful small wine museum. Entrance is only 10€ and is followed by a small wine tasting of two wines. It is possible to do the tasting in english which is preceded by a broad and very helpful introduction into the Bordeaux wine regions.

We went here for a Masters of Bordeaux course organized through Viking River cruises. It was very well executed and we learned a lot at the session. Wines were very and trying a Chateau D'Yquem was an unexpected bonus

Fantastic experience with the museum. The wine tasting and history tour went for over an hour and Mr Eric was fabulous. The rest of the team were very helpful as well. The history was depicted fabulous and I had a really good insight into the wine history of the city.

Great experience to get to know Bordeaux wines and how they evolved throughout the years. It's a hidden gem that should be visited. The wine tasting you have 2 or 3 wine options. We had 2 young and thirsty wines from the region with floral and citric aromas. One fairly aged wine 7 years that was also very tasty.

You'll find this little gem on your wine tour of Bordeaux, hidden along the cobbled roads. This museum will take you back to the history of wine, with some amazing books that record the wine makers and sales, to machinery and old bottles going back years. Just being in the old cellar and seeing the wines and wooden casks takes you back to one amazing industry from the start.

Great place to visit and learn about the Bordeaux history of Vin. The tasting at the end is very insightful and yummy! Do the three tastings, it's worth it. Our guide was lovely and very patient with our large group.

Small but very interesting exhibition of the history of wine in Bordeaux. Situated in the original cellars, it is very authentic. Interesting wine tasting session, informative but low end wines. Recommended

Lovely self guided tour through two cellars. Learned about the history of Bordeaux twine and the process in which it’s made. We spent just over an hour there including the wine tasting. The two wines were great and paired with excellent food. Great introduction to wine tasting for myself and my friend

I spent a very pleasant 90 minutes this morning learning about the history of wine in the Bordeaux region. The self guided tour was interesting and informative. It covered the rich history of wine in the region with photographs, quotations, old machinery and displays. Most of the material is in French, but a guide book in English provides an informative update. A young woman provided an informative wine tasting in English for me afterwards. Her English was very good and I appreciated her time and care in being sure I was understanding her. The wines I tasted were interesting and showed the characteristics of the wines of the Right bank.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Musée du vin et du Negoce de Bordeaux! Unlike larger, modern museum, this gem focused specifically on the Bordeaux region and its rich wine culture. The wine tasting experience was exceptionally well done, allowing me to truly appreciate the flavors of the region. Highly recommend for wine enthusiasts looking for an authentic Bordeaux experience!

Very old fashioned, explanations about the objects in the museum were in a paper folder. I was very confused about what to read in what order? The smell inside was also terrible, it gave me a sore throat. I didn't even want to do the wine tasting.

Worthwhile museum, fascinating facts about the history of wine in the Bordeaux region. Especially the part on barrels was interesting. The wine tasting was excellent and our hostess very attentive and friendly. Good price benefit ratio, the 10€/person were more than justified.

Kind staff, good explanations about the wine regions and the museum is small but the experience is nice. A lot of mold as it is a cellar though (consider it if you're allergic)

The tour of the museum is interesting, but the explanation given during the wine tasting makes the visit worth it.

Within 1 hours, we ended the tour. Equipped with a brochure, we visit the museum at our own pace. Nice to know this job type, negoce. However, some used tools placed near by, its a bit complicated to image how it works in the ancient time.

Lots of interesting information about the wine industry in Bordeaux. Informative historical facts about how wine making was developed, connections with other countries, setting quality standards and its promotion. Wine tasting with a friendly young woman who was knowledgeable and informative. Based in a lovely area of Bordeaux with many antique shops and wonderful history and architecture.

Excellent place to learn about Bordeaux's wine history and trading initiations. Polin was very professional whilst giving us the wine tasting. She was very friendly and knowledgeable.

This was one of the best places I’ve visited in Bordeaux. I’ve learned so much here, many interesting facts. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable and speaks multiple languages. And at the end you get to taste some great wine. If I had to pick between going here and Cite du Vin I would certainly pick here.

We had an incredible experience doing our visit. We were really lucky because our degustation was in charge of Aude. She explained us everything with details, and with a lot of patience. We had so many questions! She talked about all the wine productions and the way wines are labeled here, the characteristics of each region and the history of Bordeaux. And the wines were so good! We are so thankful Aude! Merci beaucoup. The Argentinian couple😀

This is a pretty small homey museum where you can learn about the wine of the Bordeaux region and then at the end have a tasting with a really nice host who can explain a lot about the region. It was also very economic and a great deal. We LOVED our time here.

Excellent little museum! Fascinating learning experience about a different side of local wine production and sales, followed by an extremely informative tasting done by a passionate oenologist! Well worth the 10 euros.

The museum just started in 2016, and is fairly small. You can reaf thru the history of wine importation from bordeaux and there is a wine tasting at the end of your visit. It is self-paced and quite ok experience.

We visited on 23.06.23 around 1 pm. It was not very busy, it was 2 of us and another 2 couples. We had city pass so we didnt pay tickets here, but i believe that ticket is around 15e (i might be wrong). There are 2 QR codes at the reception, 1 for wifi and other one for audio guid.Audio guid is very good idea, and very well done. You have story about every item on display. Also there are 2 setups with short films, 1 about history and the other one about how are the barows made. At the end you get vine tasting, 1 red and 1 white (they have option of 5). The spanish girl (i forgot her name) who did our vine tasting did excelent job! She told us about history of vine in the city, anout different grapes, vines and how to taste it. All in all i would highly recommand this place and thanks to all the staff from there, they are doing grat job!

My partner and I visited this museum during our recent trip to Bordeaux and it was a very pleasant experience. We were able to wander around at our own pace and have a look at everything and then we took part in a wine tasting. Our host was so friendly and informative, telling us all about the wines and wine culture in Bordeaux. We even sampled a couple of lovely local snack accompaniments with the wines. There is a gift shop which sold some lovely items too.

Friendly staff, interesting and atmospheric tour. A couple of mistakes in the English translation, but oh well :) Lovely wine tasting - learned something new!

Very interesting. Good shop attached, and gives a great overview to the history of bordeaux with regards to trade and wine in the area

Alright audio guide wine tour that is very specifically about Bordeaux (which is what I was looking for). The two Cellars you walk through are somewhat interesting but quite dusty and poorly ventilated as you'd expect from a historic location. The included wine tasting was fine with two cheap wines that were not explained very well (the guide was underage and never drunk wine before).

Very nice experience, I choose the €15 package including self guided tour (text or audio guide) and testing of 3 wines (plus some sweets) The museum is small but compact and provides lots of history about wine trading history of the region. Staff there are super nice and they cater a tasting for me in English.

I visited the Wine Museum while on a solo trip exploring Bordeaux. It was beautiful! So fascinating to learn about all the history, dating so far back. The wine tasting at the end was presented by Éric, who did a fabulous job😊 since it was just me, he explained and presented everything so well in English. Very informative, easy to understand, added fun humour in at times and made the entire experience so enjoyable 😊 thank you so much!! Very grateful for my experience there 😊

An excellent supplement to the cite de Vin museum.Gives an insight into the wine cellars, trade, corking, bottling and history of the wine trade in Chartrons. Ends with wine tasting.

Great museum - super interesting about the history of the Bordeaux region from its infancy. Nice dégustation at the end, with unusual wines, which offers a change vs the other more classical visits, and a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Super cheap.
