What a place! Very unique property set adjacent to a very good winery The rooms are well appointed, the food spectacular and the service was old school pampering at its best Upon arrival I noted the car park was a bit far from the room and told my wife we may not make it to the wine barrel hot tub The bell man overheard me and said don’t worry let me have your keys you go to the hot tub and we will pull the car up and unload your luggage to your room then re park your car Upon returning to my room the bags were neatly placed but the car keys were amiss I called the front desk and they intentionally held the keys so they could fetch the bags upon checkout and pull the car round to fill it up The restaurant is Michelin starred The grounds are stunning with a walking art tour on the winery The wine itself was delicious The rooms had the most spectacular view Such a find Can’t wait to return

Amazing. We live in bordeaux and came to spend a night to get out of the city and taste some wonderful wines! The service was impeccable. The food at the ROUGE bar was average... we had dinner at the brasserie and the food was great. Wonderful wonderful stay! The front desk staff were amazing and Thomas was always there to help with organizing our car or getting set up with the bikes!

I feel so calm there. Located in a very nice chateau for great wine, the hotel offers nice choices of food and wine. The service is excellent. All staff makes efforts to meet the requests of the customers. Love it!

A magnificent, relaxing experience once again. My favorite place to stay in Bordeaux. A memorable hotel, a two Michelin star restaurant, an amazing spa, and fine wines at the Chateau all offered by gracious hosts.

I would start by saying that you were absolutely right to choose this hotel for your stay in Bordeaux. If you haven't booked it yet, book it now, you'll have an amazing experience! It is a truly luxurious and exclusive property, set in the heart of the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a contemporary style that is both elegant and inviting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding countryside are simply stunning. The service at the hotel is impeccable. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure that you have a memorable stay. The hotel also has a number of excellent restaurants, and the food is simply delicious. You are in the wine region and of course the wine list is extensive. There is also a beautiful Caudalie Spa which offers a wide range of treatments. During our stay it was fully booked, so you better make reservation in advance. Overall, we had an absolutely amazing stay at Les Sources de Caudalie. It is a truly luxurious and exclusive property, with excellent service and facilities. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Bordeaux.

Outstanding hotel experience amid the vineyards of Smith Haut Lafitte - incredible location! Beautiful complex and grounds and excellent service from the time we arrived. The decor is understated and the room was extremely comfortable. The hotel was very proactive, contacting us ahead to help us book tours, tastings etc. Our favorite meal during our stay was at the wine bar Rouge - really enjoyed the casual atmosphere and tapas style menu. Look forward to our next stay!

Very bad experience with this hotel. We were guests there. 2 restaurants were full, we had to dine at the bar with snacks. The nearest restaurant is 30 minutes by car. We have come a long way, but we have not received comfort. No one warned us that we needed to book the restaurant and spa a few days before arriving at the hotel. This is usually done in decent places. I do not recommend this hotel, despite the beautiful territory, beautiful interior and high prices, you will not receive the attention you deserve. Breakfast is also poor. A small assortment of tasteless cheeses, a small amount of fruit in the summer.

The property is beautiful. The service was miserable. We arrived on Sunday and the spa was only open until 13pm , afterwards there is no access to the spa facilities. We wanted to have massages but were told that on Sunday we have to book half day visit with minimum 3 treatments per person. That did not work for us. We then went to sauna (situated in a separate from the spa building), as we were told by the front desk, that it’s available until the late evening. Only to discover that it was switched off. We then mentioned it to other front desk employees, who told us that it’s Sunday and the sauna is most likely to be not turned on this day. Our room was only ready at 4pm. We then wanted to visit the hotel winery, but were informed that it works until 5pm. We still went and discovered that it’s actually open until 6pm. We asked for a quick degustation and had a long conversation with the lady there, who told us that it’s 17:20 and she can only pour us wine if we drink it fast. Alternatively she offered us to go to Rouge bar at the hotel, but it was closed for the private event from 18:00. We were also kicked out of the sightseeing platform and were told that we need to book a tour, which we asked for, but were rejected as it was Sunday and they only do tours earlier in the day. When asked for a key to go to their Forest Walk, we were told that there are no more keys from the gate. We still went and have not seen any people on our way, so the keys must be lost somewhere? We had a dinner reservation at the La Table and mentioned that we have a birthday celebration. The service did not in any way noted our special request. We were waiting for 20 minutes for someone to pour us drinks and offer the menu. The rest of the evening we were mainly sitting with the empty plates and glasses. We (and some other guests) left the dinner as we have realized that nobody will come to offer us desserts. When complained , we were told that they did not expect the restaurant to be full and plus it’s Sunday. When leaving the hotel nobody asked if we enjoyed our stay, if we need some water for the way, we were not even told “Au revoir”. Long story short- apparently Sunday is not a good day to be at this property. Shame, because the potential is huge.

On my way to the airport I was searching to see if they have a restaurant that can serve as a late breakfast or something like that. I saw on the hotel website that Rouge restaurant it s opened from 10AM and have also a menu for small meals. In order not to be wrong I also called the hotel at 10.08 to verify if we can stop and have something to eat. We had only 1 hour until our depart from Bordeaux airport. I told them exactly what I have seen in their menu(burrata, olives, cheese). They confirmed and after 20 minute we were there. Not only they did not serve until 12 o clock(which was not mentioned not even on their website) but the staff/manager didn t do anything in order to adjust this “misunderstanding” they said! The person in charge with the restaurant did not bother to come and talk with us. Not even a single olive, or a plate of cheese they weren’t able to give us. Really, I did not except this rude behavior coming from a 5 star hotel!!

A really special hotel in a beautiful location. It's not cheap, but the staff, food, and general ambiance are all excellent. Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte is definitely worth a visit for a wine tasting.

Our stay was absolutely lovely. The room was big, clean, nicely decorated but mostly felt very cozy. Every single staff member was lovely. The spa, sauna etc was enjoyable aswell. Breakfast was truly delightful. I can only recomend to stay at Les Sources!

Very nice property with a few items that needed attention. Toilet was very far from the bed (in the Jr suite), The toilet was not clean. Toilet seat was uncomfortable. Lighting in the room was very dim..too low.
