Mika provided the most perfect orientation of Bordeaux. We were provided with comfortable bikes and explored the most beautiful and interesting areas Bordeaux has to offer. Mike provided some historical context to the places we visited, as well as some excellent recommendations of where to eat and drink. I highly recommend this be the first thing you do in Bordeaux. Such a fun and relaxing way to explore the city!

Great tour by Michael, he took us on a quick and very varier history tour of Bordeaux, ranging from 70 b.c. to now, with old and recent cultural highlights. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely bike tour of Bordeaux. The owner and his girlfriend took us all around Bordeaux and showed us the hot spots as well as explained the history of the city. They are both extremely friendly and informative. This is the best bike tour of Bordeaux!

Flavi was personable, informative, and fun! The 3 hour bike tour around Bordeaux was paced nicely with stops by Palais Gallien, Saint-Andre Cathédrale, Darwin Barracks, and other major highlights. Fun for couples or a group of friends who want to familiarize yourself with the city.

While visiting Bordeaux for a World Cup Rugby game on Sept 30th, 2023, we reserved a bike tour w/Monsieur Bacchus. Our guide was Flavi (what she wanted us to call her). The tour was planned for 2 hours. Our tour has in English. I must say it was more than a bike ride. Flavi was full of historical information as we biked along numerous roads visiting many beautiful momuments. We had a few stops along the way; best one was when we were able to buy water & coffee .. I highly recommend this tour. They supply bike helmets (not compulsory) & the bikes are in excellent condition. The 2 hours fly by, are filled with interesting historical information & best of all, wonderful monuments of all kinds. A wonderful way to enjoy Bordeaux !

If you’re worried that a cycle tour around Bordeaux might be too strenuous, don’t be! It’s a very flat city and pretty bike-friendly. This was a really enjoyable and educational trip, with our lovely guide Flavie getting the pace exactly right, stopping along the way to tell us about the history of this beautiful city (and not shying away from the shameful source of much of the city’s historic wealth). She also gave a great recommendation for a restaurant for lunch, which was wonderful too. Recommended!

My wife and I love to do bike tours. I'm pretty sure that every major city we have visited has involved a bike tour, and while most are very good, some are better than others. Monsieur Bacchus was one of the better ones. We met Michel at his shop just as the rain left. The rain caused a lot of cancellations, so it ended up just being the 3 of us. Michel was a very gracious host, full of wonderful information about the city and took us to a number of sites, some of which were the famous ones that you'll probably go to anyway, while others were more hidden and places were did not know about. Biking around Bordeaux is very easy - one of the most bike friendly cities I have ever been to - including many dedicated bike lanes and bicycle friendly streets. Michel makes good use of them to take you around the city in about 3 hours. There wasn't a boring stop on the tour and we had a great time. I couldn't recommend this more as a great way to get your feel for this beautiful city.

We loved our bike tour so so much! It was the perfect blend of history and seeing the city like a local. Michael was able to let us book a personal tour at the last minute, and we really appreciated it! Plus, Bordeaux was a flat, bike-friendly city! We would do this again in a heartbeat!

Monsieur Bacchus feels like an acquaintance who tells passionate stories 💙 about the beautiful history and locations of Bordeaux. It was informal, relaxed and educational. There was even room to grab a local drafted beer 🍻(for the wine 🍷 lovers, there’s room for that as well 😁) during the tour! There is no better way to explore this surprising city by bike 🚲

Excellent tour. Cannot rate this high enough! Small group, low key. Easy half day tour, not strenuous riding through back streets. Complete loop around old city and across the river. Really good way to orientate. Lots of interesting information - we were able to show off our knowledge later in the day with friends. Michael was very knowledgeable and passionate about his adopted city - discussing the Romans, Plantagenets, Rischard the Lionheart, Eleanor of Acquitane, buckets of night soil, German occupation - a complete panorama. He even recommended a route for a self tour outside the city. You will not go wrong.

Michael is just an amazing guide, the tour was great. He shows all of his knowledge about the city of Bordeaux and the whole region, giving all the good advices about food, wine and places to visit after the tours. Thank you so very much!
