Most comprehensive bookstore I have ever encountered. Doesn't look big from the outside but it's endlessly big inside. Tardis?

Amazing place for all book lovers. It has so many categories & shelves that there is even a ladder to see all of them ♥️ I personally had an amazing experience with the staff (Mathilde). She was very eager to help me. I told her that I don't know French, but I would like to learn and that I want to take back home some graphic novels that would motivate me to learn French so I could read the books. She recommended several novels and explained why some are more appropriate for me as a beginner. Therefore I highly recommend that anyone visits Mollat.

Wonderful service and great little touches. Enormous, well organized bookstore with just about any type of literature you can imagine. Books in French, English, Spanish, etc. BD, children's books, reference materials.

Mollat is a Bordeaux institution with a fantastic selection of books and music over a large space. The staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable, I thoroughly recommend a visit, whatever language you speak (books are, of course, mainly in French but there are some books and manga in all sorts of other languages - including English)

Gigantic bookstore, a dream. The graphic design section is a amazing, have never seen books like this. A lot of English books but not in one area, which can be confusing.

For all book lovers! Absolutely massive space and even if you don't read in French I found it really inspiring to see authors I didn't know in particular topics that interest me. The children's section is fantastic even though they are bursting at the seams a bit. A little something for everyone.

Fantastic bookstore. Great selection; must be the largest bookstore in Bordeaux? One could spend a lot of time here! The line may seem long at times but moves surprisingly fast as they had 3 cashiers working simultaneously when I was there. Can’t speak for their English language section as I didn’t look at it.

An excellent bookstore. This place is enormous and has everything from literature, manga, to cooking. It’s a bit of a maze as everything is spread out on the same floor. I found it by chance and had a great time exploring this shop.

Truly superb book store with a range and depth rarely found in the country, it being relatively true of various language versions of a given book. Cashier a bit stuff and not keen to give paper bags irrespective of amount spent, go for the librarians huge depth and kindness and pay fast thinking hard of the librarians

A massive bookstore in Bordeaux!!! I would say even might be the biggest! With plenty of stocks, books in different languages, and for sure in diverse fields. As they have also loads of choices and good selections in English, I would recommend here to any tourists as well. You may find a surprise book over here!

This bookstore is really big. They have a large selection on books, comics, graphic novels, magazines. The building is also beautiful from the outside. The streets surrounding it are beautiful. It's worth a visit.

Amazing!! I cannot imagine a better library than this. I love books and I could stay here all the day long. There are so many books for all kind of readers, which cover any subject you can imagine.

Mollat is a place of calm and serenity. You can find a wide range of book varieties, in English too. Best library in Bordeaux for sure 😃

A huge bookstore with lots of graphic novels and some English books. The staff was very friendly and told us that we can bring our dog inside.

After communicating with Mollat management people, I got my refund finally. They clarify their refund policy, here I share to all. Whatever the reason, if you would like to return the product what you bought and accord with their return policy, you have to return book back first, then there are 2 ways to refund: 1) they print you a piece of paper -- "Avoir" , it records the amount which should return to you. You could use it for next shopping. 2) you send them your BANK RIB number and your post address by email ( i feel that is not safe for personal bank information), they will find a way to return money to your bank account in 10 days. Anyway, you do not have any possibility to have refund by your original payment way, and return process will be long, please be patient. It will be very difficult for foreigners who stay in France in short period and whose bank account in oversea. So whatever you want to go shopping in their shop or their site, please be very careful. Their shop is nice, but their after-sales service could be a problem. Je suis donc revenu en boutique pour les rendre. Mais la dame de la caisse m'a dit qu'elle ne pouvait pas faire de remboursement, elle pouvait seulement me donner un "avoir de bon achat" pour mes futurs achats. Je ne peux pas comprendre pourquoi Mollat refuse le remboursement ? Ce type de librairie, je n'irai plus jamais aller pour acheter.

Massive bookstore with a great vibe and plenty of books in English and other languages!

Such an incredible bookshop with absolutely everything you could ever need inside. We spent probably around half an hour in there just looking at all the beautiful books and I would happily have spent even longer if we had the time. A must see place for book-lovers.

For the book fans out there - this is your dream. Mollat is not only a beautiful store to visit for its interieur and design, but also for the large selections of books (international and local) they have on offer. A must visit when you come to Bordeaux and thé place to find any book you ever wanted.

A huge, and I mean HUGE books shop, with many many rooms. A small English section for fiction and non-fiction, and then a wide variety of genre of French books.

Absolutely a must visit in Bordeaux. Considered by its peers as the best bookshop of France, Mollat is paradise for book lovers. With an extensive section of books in English.

This library is LIT, they have everything you need and more :) beautiful place to stay even if you don't want any book 📚

I love going back to Mollat, a bit of an institution for the students of Bordeaux. Good selection of authors and lovely decor.
