👍👍 This is the place you don’t wanna miss. After eating at other traditional food places in Vilnius I can assure you this one is the best. First, the food is made to order. Yes, you will need to wait while enjoying some beer and yes, it will be hot. And it’s delicious too. People often mention good, Lithuanian, traditional, delicious, dishes, service, menu, prices, nice, soup,

Great stuff, definitely recommend. The cider is great, try it. If you order the cheese, ask to make it warm. It's cold.

After reading the reviews we decided to come here for dinner on our first night in Vilnius. We really wanted a taste of Lithuanian food and this restaurant did not disappoint. There was a good choice of typical food and it was interesting to try something new. Be careful as the portions might seem small but they are very filling! We had to share the dessert as we were too full from the potato dishes. There was live music during our meal and the place has a very authentic feel. Try it!

Place is nice, with special atmosphere. Homemade Root bear - Kvas, is really good, Recommend to try. Beetroot soup was good as well. If you like mushrooms, you might order pork Chef’s Special Pork Collar Roast (roasted and char grilled wild Mushroom stuffed garlic pork collar, served with potato wedges, char grilled root vegetables and wild mushroom sauce).

Traditional Lithuanian Restaurant Cuisine is interesting . Design is not the best once inside. Music and Acoustics (bad loud speakers) are really below standard. Toilets look dirty although they are more or less clean

The food was delicious. The beetroot soup was nice and the cold beetroot soup (chłodnik) was even better, so refreshing. Cepeliny was very good with well spiced up meat and the portion was proper size. The only downside was the service which was a bit harsh, although you could see them trying their best.

(Translated by Google) Definitely try it out! Very tasty, fresh and authentic Lithuanian cuisine, friendly staff. The buckwheat blini were epic delicious !! The filled potato dumplings were also very good. In terms of price, totally reasonable for the very good quality of the food. We paid 48 € for 4 main courses, two pre-soups and a bunch of drinks (including vodka). The liter of water with berries and mint costs z. B. only € 2.50 and tastes really delicious. It is also worth trying the homemade kvass. We were completely satisfied and really fed up. (Original) Unbedingt ausprobieren!

My friend and I had just arrived in Vilnius from a long morning of travel and wanted to try our first Lithuanian food. Based on good reviews we decided to visit this place. Charming interior and a menu with many many options and pictures of (I believe) everything, as well as English descriptions. Our waiter spoke very good English, but service was a bit slow. I didn’t love my potato dumplings filled with duck, but the fried potato and mince meat dish (center in picture) was good and my friend liked her kebab (can’t remember the name they use here) but found it a tad salty. Reasonable prices, I just wish I had chosen something else to eat.

A perfect restaurant to taste local traditional Lithuanian cuisine. You should try all the dishes offered here. Especially the bread, cheese plate and potato with meat are extraordinary. After dinner, you should try the local desserts which are unique to here.

We were lucky to get a table on Saturday night. The place was decorated for Christmas and they had live music (which was a bit loud, but made the vibe). The food is tasty, the service is smiling and the atmosphere is just perfect for family dinner.

I went there for lunch and tempted to try the full set menu called the farmer's feast.. and it is yes very fulling.. had it with a friend of mine and we still cant finish it all.. but it was a good way to try a lithuanian lunch.. place located near the city square, just accross the cafe houdini and a gym called impuls. Service was good, they have someone who can speak english well. Price is okay.

Affordable Lithuanian food with great taste. I enjoyed my food there. Place is decorated as it is traditional place and waitresses are wearing traditional clothes. We ran into live folk music and folk dance show once. It is a really nice environment.

This place is a little hidden but really close to the Main Street Gediminas Ave. We managed to order two soups as usual(because there’re so many local soups) Lithuanian beetroot soup with wild mushroom(really yummy with natural taste and floating yogurt) and Hot guliash soup(made of fried carrots, sweet peepers, chili peepers and beans, sick and hot with curry taste). As for main courses we chose Deep fried meet stuffed dumplings with sour cream sauce(crispy but perishing concerning the meat stuff) and an Indian-looking wok which is creamy made of pork and beans(yummy but greasy). By the way the portion of dishes in this place is remarkable. At last if you haven’t got an idea about what to drink or you’re already tried of local beers, I recommend you a sparkling wine named Alita, I’ve tried the semi-dry which for me is lovely and fresh!

Food was absolutely amazing, staff were not the most attentive at times but got the job done after a while. The theming was nice but almost not focused on enough leaving the experience a little dry. All in all a good experience though.

Ruhig gelegenes Restaurant mit landestypischen Speißen und Getränken zu fairen Preisen. Service könnte etwas flotter sein und wirkt leicht überfordert. Speißen waren gut und reichlich und das Ambiente läd zum Verweilen ein.

Cold beetroot soup and cepelinai were quite good. The portions are average, just like the prices. The only concern I would have is the loud and unpleasant pop music playing in the background which doesn't seem to be matching with more of a traditional decor. The staff was decent, though not the nicest.

Great place with fair prices. Meat and soup were really great, salat with shrimps was good. Bear - fine, I’m not fan of Lithuanian bear. The service great and have good knowledge skills. The atmosphere is very comfortable and peaceful. Candles on desks, and twilight makes this place good for romantic, but authentic design makes it good for companies

On my third visit to "Bernelių Užeiga," I discovered a taste of authentic Lithuania right in the heart of Vilnius, just beside the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. One sunny afternoon, my wife and I enjoyed lunch at this charming establishment. The sunny weather further enhanced our experience, setting the scene for a delightful meal. The restaurant buzzed with moderate activity, and the service remained timely. Given the heat, we opted for Aperol Spritz to cool off. While not your traditional Aperol Spritz, it possessed a unique and oddly refreshing quality that left a positive impression. Our choice of chicken bites as a starter proved to be a delicious introduction. The accompanying sauce played a harmonious role, complementing the flavors and enhancing the overall taste. My only suggestion would be to generously add more of that creamy sauce, enriching the experience further. The main dishes upheld the same level of excellence. The grilled chicken exuded tenderness and juiciness, beautifully accompanied by perfectly matched sides—chips and salad. My wife's selection, the traditional Koldūnai (venison dumplings), left her raving about its mouthwatering appeal. She expressed immense satisfaction with the quality and flavor of the venison, expertly cooked and seasoned. In conclusion, our time at "Bernelių Užeiga" was splendid. However, I did notice a concerning trend. Over the past six months, there has been a notable increase in prices, accompanied by substantial changes in the menu offerings. Moreover, portions have slightly diminished. Nonetheless, the restaurant retains its inviting atmosphere, charming decor, and the echoes of tradition. I earnestly hope the management will revisit the revised menu and consider preserving certain cherished aspects. While my initial visits left an incredible impression, I believe there's room for the restaurant to recapture that essence. Despite these observations, I eagerly anticipate revisiting "Bernelių Užeiga" once again.

The restaurant offers traditional Lithuanian dishes, the soups were tasty as a side dish we got fried american potatoes which was quite weird combination for me I would rather prefer bread. The Kaunas Beef Fillet Steak was quite disappointing as the wait was longer then other dishes and the meat was tough to chew i would definitely choose something different if I visited this place again.

Ordered lunch for the whole family. On the volt's menu, they found four servings of meatballs with potatoes and three servings of soup. All meals were in the lunch category. they brought seven servings of soup and prove that everything is correct and that these are not meatballs with potatoes, but soup. By the way, there were no meatballs.

Really traditional Lithuanian restaurant. They also have like a canteen style lunch option however we did not get this as we got the a La carte menu. I would recommend the farmers feast as it’s only €21 but is massive and such good value for money and a good way to try out the Lithuanian National dishes. The Kvass drink was really nice aswell. Overall a nice meal and they have a take away option!

Ok, I was twice in this place. First time I was waiting for 15 minutes. There was extremely loud music inside and all waitresses were ignoring me when I was waiving to them to order. I left, although menu looked good, that was on Friday evening. I decided to come back on Saturday and give another try. The food was delicious, there was no loud music anymore and the waitress was very helpful, service was super fast. The price was also reasonable. I recommend Cepeliny and red borscht with mushrooms. I would definitely recommend this place after my second visit.

I wanted to like the place and while sitting there I actually enjoyed my time, but in hindsight there were quite some issues. We both got the wrong starters but felt like it was partly our fault for not speaking lithuanian or russian so we ate what we got. The borsh was not meat based and is thus a bit more bland thanks to that. Especially if you ordered the hot meat soup instead. While I could predict the fried bread would be rather simple, they also did nothing to spice it up while asking a rather high price. And again i got the wrong variant. It didnt taste that different compared to bread snacks you can buy in shops, except that it was slightly warm and greasy. The kvass was rather poor and tasted suspiciously like the apple drink they also offered. Main courses were good but again it was rather bland and a bare minimum of what one would imagine ordering the dishes.

Great restaurant with very tasty food for reasonable price. We ate zeppelins with soft cheese, turkey balls and salmon and everything was done very well, I will definitely return here to try other dishes. They have several vegetarian and vegan option as well, also from the national Lithuanian cuisine. Staff is competent and nice. A traditional eatery serving authentic Lithuanian food throughout the day. Visited the restaurant based on the review and was fully satisfied. The service was slow to start off with but when the food came out all was forgiven. The soup was perfect, the dumplings were to die for and the mains, gorgeous! And the food was priced very reasonably, this could be the general pricing point across the city which I'm not sure about. The lady who served us was nice and courteous. Would recommend to anyone in the vicinity.

Lovely Lithuanian restaurant.. Before I say anything else, you must try the Cepelinai!! The most delicious huge dumpling you'll ever eat. Filled with minced meat and topped with chopped bacon and sour cream. It's made freshly here. My 4 star review is only because on one occasion, they failed to have Cepelinai available! Their (supposedly) main dish. Another delicious option are: the toasted black garlic bread with cheese, their barbecue option, soup in the bread, delicious beers on tap... Service is normally friendly and easy. Location wise... They are a bit hidden, without any parking options, unless you park in the street and pay by the hour. Not far from Leytonstone station. Maybe 15 mins walking.

(Translated by Google) Zeppelins are really delicious, sour cream is relentless. Perhaps people eating larger portions of zeppelins would be small. Another thing, when asked for banana juice (which was mentioned in the art), the waitress with a mocking voice said that there is no such juice because they do not sell at all. Yet another thing. The range of dishes was complemented by burgers and sausages. A leaflet and a sign at the entrance announce that this is new - after viewing the art, it was not. When asked by the waitress, she brought another art with a very unhappy face. About the sausage: the spicy sausage was not spicy at all, the taste of the sausage seemed to be overcooked, the bun dried over the inside. It feels like a sausage once made is just put in the oven and heated for a long time. Also, the overall taste of the sausage will not change. Summary: Zeppelins - 5 stars Spicy sausage - 2 stars. Service - 3 stars.

Loved this place! Quaint, cozy, traditional... Define was extremely friendly. Food came fast... We tried a bit of everything, some tasted wonderful, some wasn't so good.... But that's a matter of taste. If you're in Vilnius, you should come by this place. Try the traditional food!

Tasty food with low prices. Good atmosphere. One minus star is too long waiting time for everything.

The menu was extensive and featured a lot of traditional Lithuanian dishes. We ended up trying all the vegetarian options (yes, they did have vegetarian dishes!). The food and dessert was very good! Staff was nice and attentive. All in all a good place to experience the local cuisine.

Forgot tea ("didn't have it") and didn't say a word (maybe new staff). BUT. Cheap and tasty food.

The traditional Lithuanian food here is definitely good. Highly recommend the summer specials when chanterelle mushrooms are featured on the menu, especially the chanterelles in cream sauce, served with boiled potatoes and also the veal stew of cream sauce and chanterelles. The cabbage leaves stuffed with minced meat was another delicious winner. The food was so delicious we returned a day later for another session. They have a good selection of local beers as well, ranging from lagers to dark beers. Service can be a bit slow (especially difficult to get a menu or your first drinks, but it improves once you get their attention), however the staff are nice and polite. The good food makes up for any faults. 😋

Took my boyfriend here to experiment with Lithuanian food. Didn’t make us disappointed - all was served at its best. Great choice to go if you wish to eat some real lithuanian food 😊

Excellent food and outstanding service. Latvian cuisine is very rich and yummy compared to its neighbours like Estonia, where rye bread and salted fish are more of the iconic dishes (hardly appealing). Definitely recommend the beetroot soup with wild mushroom, rabbit stew and Turkey meat ball here. Portions are good and given the quality and quantity of food, prices are fair here.
