‼️ Completely disappointed with this airport. The worst I've ever been (Details below): After reading some reviews, I've realized they justify the caos saying the world had come across some unexpected situations and they had to "adapt" it... just a non-sense copy paste All airports in the world have indeed been adapted, definitely not this one. Covid is not a valid excuse for facilities to be outdated, this airport simply has no concern for travelers comfort and well-being. Since the entrance, the situation seems out of control, huge number of people for a tiny space where co-exist a cafeteria and the check-in desk for all airlines. If you just have cabin luggage (no checked bags), you have to go right and follow a way without ANY indications to access the control before reaching the gates... It is really easy once you ask for help but if you don't... Well, prepare yourself to be absolutely confused. When finishing this control, you arrive to another place where the Duty Free is. Also FULL of people and no place to sit. We were upstairs thinking it would be different but it was crowded as well... Specific issue in the Duty Free section. No place to put the rubbish (specially after testing perfumes and makeup) and I spotted (at least) two products without price so I had to go ask at the desk every time... Onto the (male) bathrooms: the one on the airport entrance had one hand dryer broken and upstairs, two water taps were broken... Also they feel really narrow and one time I had an issue with other passenger that could not pass with my luggage while I was washing my hand. Can you believe the corridor was the same width as a small cabin bag??? So, after that crowded place, we had to do a Passport/ID Control (even being European and traveling to Europe)... After that, the final episode: the boarding gates. Definitely the place "not to be" in advance. There's JUST a corridor with all the closed (important) gates and without a common place to wait or sit. So, if you don't know your gate you must wait standing in the narrow corridor. Should I come in a rush, just some time before my flight departure? 🤔 Exactly. NOW GET READY. Saturday 18th June 2022. We were flying to Lisbon the afternoon and we where in advance in front of the gates. As a result we had to wait seated in the corridor till the Ryanair employee confirmed us the gate. When entering the gate, first of all she was alone to check every passenger and also the gate didn't have bathrooms. After 10 minutes, people didn't came so they realized that the airport didn't show the destination in the boarding gate... REALLY? and right after, with some people already checked and waiting the boarding, they told us we were about to change the gate! This is not happening... 😅 So, we changed to another boarding gate altogether as a school trip, without understanding what was happening. In addition, there was a weak division between Priority and Non-Priority passengers that some people broke so at the end we were all mixed... Hopefully the woman that was checking every passenger realized and pit an end of it. Honestly, she did a great job in the middle of such a situation. Waiting to enter the plane I heard some people willing to make a complaint about the airport and Some more general thoughts: 🔻 Poor quality of air-conditioning from the entrance to the exit 🔻 Dirty walls, glass doors and specially the floor 🔻 Bad quality of speakers in the whole airport 🔻 Not enough place to sit and rest. In general, the airport is not at all prepared for the amount of passengers it receives 🔻 Lack of indicative panels as well as flying information screens. As so, we are forced to ask the employees for every tiny doubt 1-star review as I cannot give 0. Really sad it is the main airport of Marseille that clearly put this city down and make both passengers and employees upset everyday. If you're thinking about coming to Marseille, even for a layover, please do yourself a favour and don't. Not the place for a pleasant travel.

Absolutely terrible!! The service in this airport its bad. The waiting area its dirty. The bathrooms don’t have the essentials like soap, toilet paper and hygiene. No flights information available on the tv’s. This is a very bad place to be.

The airport is okay but definitely needs more space to accomodate all its customers. Further, passing through the airport is done in an odd manner as here first the baggage check is done and only after the immigration. This seems to create much more traffic at the immigration checkpoint which leads to long waiting times.

The budget terminal is awful, the regular terminal better, staff friendly in general. If you fly from the budget terminal, arrive extremely early (at least 3 hours) if you want to avoid trouble. The bagage drop-of there is understaffed and with a strange and slow system. There is almost no airport security. The security-check is old and does not adapt. Staff is as friendly as possible under these circumstances though. And in-airport car rental is convenient. The regular terminal for the non-budget carriers is better.

-WORST AIRPORT I HAVE BEEN. Airports in thirld-world country are better. -We were waiting to enter outside because of the "2 hour before flight" enter policy we waiting in the sun because there are no facilities to wait inside. - When it was time to enter without any announcment they forced everyone out for another 30 minutes. NO ONE FROM THE STAFF SPEAKS ENGLISH and we didn't know what was going on. -After everyone was pilled up and the odour in that place was awfull. - Our flight was delayed for more than 2.5 hour with no explanation.

RACIST TO NON-EUROPEAN TRAVELLERS AND TERRIBLE FACILITIES. Updated my review upon getting through security. They have a special spreadsheet where they need to write down the information by hand of all non-European foreigners leaving the country, this took 10 minutes and the check-in staff didn't know how to do it, my check-in as a white man took 1 minute. They also drug-checked my wife for no reason other than the fact that she is a non-European citizen. There was nothing but clothes in her bag and her luggage was pulled aside at security. Meanwhile, they didn't even ask me to remove the 10 electric devices from my bag because I'm white. So racist. Unable to enter the airport until 2 hours prior to our departure. No facilities around the airport to accommodate this procedure leading to people having to just stand outside the entrance for hours, with very long queues inside the airport. I'D ALSO LIKE TO ADD THAT THERE IS NO DEDICATED SMOKING AREA MEANING THAT PEOPLE JUST SMOKE EVERYWHERE OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE. I LOVE SECOND-HAND SMOKE. I LITERALLY FEEL SICK AFTER SITTING OUTSIDE FOR A FEW HOURS. Avoid this airport. About 50 years behind anything in London.

Not the best of experiences here at T1.. Firstly some guy decided to leave his suitcase unattended despite various warnings on the comms system, the Police came into T1 and had a word with him. 10 minutes later he then did the exact same thing and dumped his suitcase in the middle of the Costa and walked off outside, whilst security didn't look to have noticed. Perhaps he was a wild card but it didn't feel the safest of areas.. Then, getting through security was fine but as we approached the corner for border patrol / passport checks we were greeted with a HUGE queue through the metal fences.. in an area with no ventilation or cooling it was pretty horrific, they had ONE person working on the passport checking till hence the huge delays. What made it worse was that there was absolutely NO communication between the airport staff so everyone was getting really stressed they would miss their flights. What made this scenario worsen was that a small french lady made a call at the front for one of the Air Algerian flights and it caused a stampede like effect from people at the back of the queue going towards the front of the queue, past all of us who had been waiting for over 1.5 hours now. This caused many people to get angry, shout, and even some of the Algerians started fighting between themselves, luckily some security/police were called and intervened in the queue as we thought we might have gotten crushed at one point... Someone in the queue also decided to 'follow through' which was as lovely as you can imagine in a stuffy, hot, overcrowded, despicable situation. We finally got through the gate at 9.28pm and our flight was at 9.30pm. Please get some more border control staff and improve the communication.... Other than that, it's an airport.

Nice airport with satisfactory facilities. No shops open at arrivals or departures during the very early hours. Water and refreshments available via drink machines.

They’re rebuilding the airport but it’s still working very effective. Taxi’s in the front of the exit.

Can't check in till 2 hours before. Can't drop bags until 2 hours before despite every other international airport allowing you to. Distinct lack of bars and restaurants (mainly small kiosks selling snacks). Toilets absolutely stink. Uncomfortable seating. This would have to be the last place on earth before using again

I used Terminal 2. Small but had a big queue to pass the bags control. It took me 20 minutes to pass it.

Not enough toilets, everything is pretty dirty, internet slow, almost no mobile data reception, boarding announced way before boarding actually starts, not many food options. Positive is plenty of seating in the waiting area, but the charging points don't work.

Terminal 2 lacks any decent restaurants or shops other than the Starbucks. Does not have many toilets given how many passengers must use it. Security and passport control however was very quick. I would consider flying here again

They make announcements in either French or English, one or the other and not both so if you're not paying attention you can easily miss a flight because the screens were not updated until last minute. There were several delays across airlines during my time there and past security there was 3 working wall sockets in the entire place which led to people not being able to access boarding passes and almost fighting over them. Don't have high expectations.

One can find both terminal 1 and 2 as well as short- and long-term parking. Terminal 2 is work in progress and as appealing as a bus stop.

Miserable experience ruining this airport's reputation for all passengers on our flight. Plane landed at 12h01, first bags arrived at 12h36 while the plane is 200 meters away from the delivery belt. There there was a 10 minutes storm but the rest of the bags arrived at 13h20. Have our bags been forgotten? This is ridiculous. we have now missed our train connection as well as our backup plan....

Small functional airport. Parking free for 30 min very close to the entrance of the departure terminal. There is a covid test placed conveniently before the check in.
