This museum is set just by the ruined mill and the entrance is beneath it, from the Volga river promenade. The museum layout is fantastic - spread over some 10 rooms clockwise depicting the WWII chronologically with an accent on the famous Stalingrad battle. Apart many weapons, uniforms and personal items displayed, most interesting I found somewhere around the middle (room 5 or 6) a huge digitalized map with amazing computer animation about the battle. At the top floor is a huge 360' diorama about the battle. Entry fee is symbolic - few Euros.

Definitely worth a visit when you are in town. Would take about 90-120 minutes for a proper visit. Many artifacts of war, as well as a nice animated description of the events happened. The panorama part is also pretty cool, especially if you have never seen a panorama museum before. The outdoor part right outside/behind is also a living museum, the ruined building and the famous fountain, as well as the train on the side.

It was an amazing time travel experience. The museum surpassed much more my expectations. It is THE MUSEUM you must visit if you come to Stalingrad (Volgograd). We strongly appreciate the excellent support of Liubov Melnik, the guide that helped us out in this amazing time.

Is a nice museum. Much to see about the Second World War.

The Battle of Stalingrad Museum is one of the best in Volgograd and will require at least two hours, and preferably a good command of Russian to fully appreciare. Although there is an audio guide in various languages - which will give you a sense of the displays - the museum is so rich that you'd miss tons otherwise. Inexpensive to enter. Leave understanding the sacrifice and horrors of war.

The greatest battle in human history. 2 million death and injured... You can pay additional 100RUB for 'photos free'.

Relics with an amazing story to go with them. Well put together and well upkept.

Very interest museum in the city's heart. A lot of information about the war and many old things as remembers of last years.

Museum Panorama is an historical place in Volgograd where the last standing building after the stalingrad war is situated and the environment is nice too
