Beautiful place, part of the Artis zoo. The variety of animals has decreased too drastically: no more polar bear, no European bison, no hippopotamus or orangutan and so on. Not a real zoo anymore, but more of an expensive park to walk among what remains of livestock. The walk is also very worthwhile, especially on quiet rainy days. The Small Mammal House is always my favorite place, especially the little mini monkeys (as big as your hand) are endearing. Buy an annual pass, just like me, I really recommend it, because that way it remains somewhat affordable...
