The only thing that could possibly help this Hotel's rating is the price. The rooms are heavily dated, non renovated and show lack of basic maintenance. The security guards are overtly aggressive; checking room keys and check in cards, the staff and concierge not nice and under qualified, while operating with unnecessary bureaucratic complication. I can only recommend this hotel for a cheap one or two night crash, nothing more

The worst experience I ever had. We have spend about two hours just to check in. Rude service and poor rooms. That hotel is pretty famous so there is not problems to acquire guests, and this is the reason why nobody cares about quality of service.

Although the location of the hotel is very good, the behavior of some officers and the methods of controlling the customers are very uncomfortable. The officers waiting in front of the elevators examine your hotel card every time you come to the elevator in a manner that is not polite at all. Five times some days. Even the stance in front of the elevator made me feel like a prisoner in jail. I had a hard time understanding the reason for this attitude and need. The officers waiting at the entrance of the restaurant asked the hotel card in the same rude manner and their examinations ended our breakfast appetite. Moreover, they want you to take your jacket off before you sit down in that cold weather. So shouldn't it be necessary to heat the hotel first? Reception staff are very kind and smiling. This alone has been a source of comfort for us. A shame to this hotel from the symbolic structures of the Soviet period. It was amazing when I stayed 14 years ago.

Stayed there for the world cup. Staff wasnt friendly at all and the rooms are a joke. Oh, and if you ask the front desk for a taxi to the airport, they will overcharge you in order to get a kick back from the driver. Stay there only if you need to save money.

You get what you pay for... The hotel is very well priced for a reason so do not expect 5-Star service and accommodation when you are paying for a 3-Star... If you are coming for holidays this will not be the place, if you are visiting for the park or exhibition this will be good for a couple of evenings... My choice is to stay in the centre of Moscow at some of the 5-Star hotels where you will be close to all major attractions...

Really huge hotel with amazingly wonderful location almost in center of Moscow. A wonderful museum just across the street as well as Metro station. Very affordable prices. Breakfast is great.

Super huge hotel with 2xxx rooms and it was a city by itself. It had all the amenities for a great hotel and was a good place to stay. Proximity to the metro was good and the collection of restaurants is great. The breakfast was nice with a wide spread of dishes. The hotel was pretty mechanical and felt like a conveyor line. Is a good land mark to invite people for meetings and is good value for money.

Stay here if you love the Russian 80s! Everything about this hotel screams 1980, from the highly temperamental lifts to the old decor. The rooms themselves are generally fairly spacious, though they could do with a, revamp. The hotel is incredibly warm throughout the day and night and rooms do not feature air conditioning. The food in the buffet restaurant was an experience in itself Different food options are available each day with a considerable selection though the same salad and sides were on offer for every breakfast and dinner session. The staff in the hotel were friendly and generally easy to contact in such a big hotel.

I don't recommend, I found a used cotton swab in my room, no hot water in shower for an entire day, holed linen sheets, no lift to access the taxi station for person with reduced mobility, poorly polite staff, no luggage service after midnight, 2 lifts out of 4 not working, panoramic restaurant closed, business center closed,... This 3 star hotel will probably soon get 1 star rating...

It was good to return to the Kosmos hotel again after almost two years. Note that was a masks policy that was adhered to by security and guests when I visited. Some restaurants are still not open, such as the Chinese but the pub is, as well as Cafe Vienna. I felt very safe and secure while walking around the lobby.

As a fan of the "night watch" movies I just had to stay here, service was (for Moscow) excellent, suite was clean & spacious, and you meet the most interesting people at the bar. As I was leaving late the next day I was able to extend check-out for a very reasonable price.

The hotel and their staff are quite insensitive and hospitality is the last thing on their mind. If you think you have found a great hotel at cheap price, beware of their trap: The hotel refused checkin because I did not present “registration card”. I did present the passport with visa and immigration card as required by the hotel policies but the reception at Cosmos was rigid for producing ‘registration card original copy. I had complained to booking.com and they tried resolving it with the hotel and when they pointed out the policy, they stopping saying “registration card” is needed but that documents were not complete. I wasted more than 3 hours talking to booking.com and cosmos hotel reception and in the end I had to move to another hotel. Mind you that nowhere in Russia did any hotel ask for this document.

Loved the large views, nothing like Australia. The Staff was amazing. But I can't give this a 5 star because my room had a distinct smell...

This hotel is only big in shape. The facilities are lower than 1 star hotels. Room size is very small and there is no facilities provided in room.

I stayed in Kosmos in 2008 it was such a lovely experience ...yet biggest issue in whole Russia is they don't compromise on language which makes it bit harder for people to communicate

This is qualitative and organised time traveler straight to USSR. Cozy atmosphere of great Soviet times and movies. The Hotel is creating feeling of something great and majestic. True *** service. But this is authentic three stars, which is more interesting than any standard worldwide brand with four or five stars.

A very old hotel, but we'll maintained. A huge one actually. But the rooms are old. Air conditioning is weak. Not a place to stay during summer. We stayed here for 2 weeks. Location is good and has almost all the tourist spots close by.

I stood and waited for 4 hours to check in. This is understandable. And since it hadn't been cleaned for two days, I called to request cleaning. That crazy idiot lobby male employee kept refusing. He was a stupid, uneducated Russian man. I don't understand it at all.
