We were taken there as part of a city tour, and while respecting that many "rich and famous" and influential people are laid to rest, I had not heard of most so the significance was lost on me. Some of the gravestones are really impressive and works of art. There are many tour groups so the place lacks the serenity and dignity of a cemetery.

Awesome place for leasure. More like a park than cemetery and very well managed. Many tourists in this place and they are from everywhere around the world. Good thing, no need to pay to enter this place, but all signs and words only written in Cyrillic and no further translation. In this place, you can found many famous people in Soviet era, like Nikita Khrushchev, Anton Chekhov, Mikhail Yanshin, Andrei Tupolev, Artem Mikoyan, and many more.

A cemetery where during the USSR only very important people were buried. Some monuments are real works of art! Worth taking a walk in it, if you can handle it!

Many personalities have found their final resting place here. It is very worthwhile to see the beautiful tombs. We saw the tombs of Yeltsin and Mrs Gorbachev as well as aircraft designer Tupolev.

I went here to see the last resting places of some prominent people. It took me a few visits to get to them all - there's so many of them to see! Despite its short working hours, this cemetery is great in a way that it has nice clean pathways, a map and navigation means.

The liar security guard, here is free, but they asked me to pay $300. Hey, because I am a foreigner? In addition to this, it is actually worth visiting.

Very interesting place to learn Russian history, well worth the 300 rubles entrance fee. Lots of beautiful sculptures. We went there in a small group and our tour guide bought the tickets for us from the office near the entrance, though there is no showing of the ticket price, there was a date and serial number stamped on the back of the ticket.
