Two expos of large flat screen televisions in dark rooms with an outdated computer graphics about Tsars with some product placement of one large Russian company. Nothing more. And where's an expo about XX century?

Not for none-Russian speakers as I did not spot one English option on the interactive displays etc. If you do speak the language an extensive and very well put together exhibition of the history of the Romanov dynasty and some other parts of Russia's recent history.

Exhibition "Romanovs". Interesting, informative, lots of facts presented. Unfortunately, I expected a more intense exposition. Perhaps everything will change (renovations are underway), but we should have expected less :( - it’s not a museum after all.

The pavilion is open until 8. We arrived at 7, they let us in, but we couldn’t see anything. The lights in the premises had already begun to be turned off and visitors were leaving because everything was closing. They invited me to some kind of lecture, but what kind of lecture if I have nowhere to leave the child even for this time. We went to other pavilions, which honestly worked out our time. It's a pity.

The information content of the exhibition is at the level of a school history textbook. You can visit if you are not older than 8th grade of high school.

The exhibit is very interesting and well-organized, with a big amount of information and interactive games to test the personal knowledge on recent Russian history. The exhibit covers not only political events, but also different aspects of every-day life, including movies, songs and sporting events. Relatively short guided tours, given by seminarians in an open and honest way, are useful just to have an idea about the contents of the exhibit, but I personally suggest to spend at least 4 hours inside and watch all the short movies about the different historical periods, which highlight in a compact way the positive and negative elements, giving the possibility of critically evaluate a very important period of recent history. Two elements surprised me in a positive way: the big amount of young people spending a lot of time inside the exhibition and the fact that negative pages of Russian history are not hidden at all. The last room is devoted to famous sentences about Russia and I would like to conclude my review with one of them, that points out the atmosphere I felt during my trips to Russia: "Русский - это тот, кто любит Россию"

I liked everything, I especially want to mention the counselor Alexandra Biryukova-Sobranskaya! Thank you very much it was an unforgettable day.

Not everything is very good: there are no keys to the lockers to leave things - they just open empty ones, and they don’t take bags into the wardrobe. It’s impossible to eat: point one, it takes sooooo long, one cash register, workers without uniforms and not everyone’s head is covered with a special cap. The music is very loud and it is impossible to comfortably listen to performances in the "Knowledge" hall, where it is also very stuffy! Visited 02/10/2024.
