In honor of this, our countries exchanged copies of sculptures of famous national writers. This is how we got a copy of the monument to Cervantes from Plaza de las Cortes. His sword was stolen several times, but now he stands without it.

The monument is really beautiful. It is very sad that vandals steal Cervantes’ sword from time to time.

An exact copy of the monument to the writer Miguel Cervantes in Madrid, created by the sculptor Antonio Sola in 1831. Donated by the Spanish government to Moscow as an exchange and installed in 1981. The design of the pedestal and decoration of the surroundings was carried out by architects I. N. Voskresensky and Yu. V. Kalmykov. Deserves attention.

The work of the sculptor A. Sol, installed in the Park of Friendship (1981) as a gift from the city of Madrid as part of the exchange of monuments. Beautiful well maintained sculpture

They tore everything apart for no apparent reason, you can’t approach the monument, you can’t admire it, but out of respect for this “Titan” world classic, I’ll give it 5 stars.
