Absolutely iconic Cavern Club birth place of the infamous.. The Beatles and many more bands and performers.. What a fantastic atmosphere and upbeat club.. Full of rock and pop memorabilia Live band playing every night so what could be better in one of the most famous clubs in the world.. Upon entry you have to pay a £5 charge for entering or book on-line.. Don't think that online booking is available at the moment but you can just pay at the door But be aware if its busy you may have to wait to gain entry but worth the wait and the fee.. Obviously if you are respectful enough then the staff are friendly and polite.. Inside everybody seemed to be having a good night... The beer prices were average and you could also purchase a memento of your visit.. On display in a glass case.. Must mention that if you have difficulty with mobility then you may have a problem because you have to go down some stairs to the cavern.. The toilet is attented and the guy will make sure your looking and smelling good before you leave.. Yes thoroughly enjoyed the night and highly recommend a visit..

I had an absolutely fantastic time. This place is of course, absolutely iconic and famous in Liverpool because of its connection to the Beatles and other well known acts. When we went in, I was pleasantly surprised by the cheap entry and the cheap drinks. The walls are festooned with endless memorabilia, from the Beatles, all the way to the Arctic Monkeys and Adele. It was truly eye opening and amazing. We also had the pleasure of watching some truly excellent live music, and songs by the Beatles, and Elton John (amongst others) were played brilliantly. I would absolutely come back - this place was a treat!

Visited in the afternoon while exploring the Cavern Quarter, and thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent here. You go down a lot of stairs to reach this dimly lit and vaulted cellar, its walls and arches covered with the signatures of countless visitors (there's a lift if you can't manage the stairs, just ask the staff at the entrance). At the bottom, I paid an admission fee of £5. The place was packed with people of all ages, including families with children. There are tables and stools all around the club, but it was standing room only! A good soloist was performing some of the best Beatles hits and also the music of other 1960's bands. Great vibrant atmosphere. Got a real sense of what it would have been like all those years ago when the Beatles were performing here. The glass cases full of posters, musical instruments and memorabilia were interesting to look at. There's a bar where you can get beer, wine, cocktails named after the Fab Four, and other drinks (bought a lager and lime for £2.80). You can buy all kinds of souvenirs too, ranging from T-shirts and John Lennon glasses to guitar accessories and CD's, but some of it is pricey. It's worth a nostalgic visit to this iconic club if you're in Liverpool.

Had the pleasure of attending the Cavern Club back on a Saturday in October to see the Cavern Club Beatles! WOW what a show, the boys are absolutely AMAZING. The whole show was flawless and so so enjoyable. Getting drinks from the bar was very easy and no queues. If you want a seat get there early. But I was happy to stand and get the toes tapping. For £20 this was VERY worthwhile. If I had paid £50 I would have felt it was still value for money! Amazing night - will definitely “Get Back” at some point 😎

What a place! This club has been opened in 1957. After several years it became the most famous music club for all time. The Beatles has performed her for 292 times here. It was closed and renewed and now it’s very similar to what was there in 60s. Artists perform there all day, singing their songs or covering the Beatles. Everything sounds here. There is a museum and also a great feeling that thousands groups performed here. The Rolling Stones, Queen, Thin Lizzy, The Who, Elton John and many other bands you definitely know. It’s dark and stuffy, but it’s all about the atmosphere. It was much worse in 60s. The entrance is £5 and it such a small price for the atmosphere and limitless performances.

This is a must visit when you go to Liverpool! Don't be confused by the Cavern Pub (also on Matthew Street). It's £5 entry on the door (no need to book). There wasn't a queue when we went so could get straight in. It's so atmospheric and there are great live bands on. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the clientele are much the same. Great atmosphere. Great history.

The Cavern Club in Liverpool is a must-see for any Beatles fan. It's the place where the Fab Four played hundreds of gigs in their early career, and it still retains its intimate and atmospheric vibe today. Admission is £5, and you'll need to pay this once, even if you want to visit multiple venues under the Cavern Club umbrella (including the Cavern Pub and the Cavern Live Lounge). Once you've paid your entrance fee, you'll descend two flights of stairs to find yourself in a bustling hive of activity. There are multiple pubs, plenty of sitting areas, and decorations everywhere to remind you of the Cavern's rich musical history. There's always live music playing, and the atmosphere is electric. Whether you're a fan of Beatles covers or just want to soak up the atmosphere, you're sure to have a great time. Here are some of the pros and cons of the Cavern Club: **Pros:** * Intimate and atmospheric venue * Live music every day * Plenty of sitting areas * Rich musical history * Beatles fans will love it **Cons:** * Admission fee * Can be crowded, especially on weekends * Drinks can be expensive Overall, the Cavern Club is a great place to visit for any Beatles fan or anyone who loves live music. It's a unique and atmospheric venue with a lot to offer. I would recommend visiting on a weekday if possible, as it can be very crowded on weekends. It's also worth checking the website in advance to see who's playing, as there are often some great tribute bands performing.

Visited on a Friday afternoon and purchased the all-day return pass for £7.50/person. Stayed for about an hour - enjoyed a couple drinks and some live music. It was not crowded yet, so we were able to walk around and read/look at all the memorabilia. Returned later in the evening after dinner - it was very crowded, but we were able to maneuver our way toward the front with good visibility. Sound is quite loud, and atmosphere and history makes for a very special experience. Would highly recommend for any music or Beatles lover.

Spent an afternoon in the Cavern Club which is easily done. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience as their was good music and the ambiance brill, the beers going down a treat. Great to go into and good photo opportunity’s to be had. Theirs various memorabilia of the Beatles to be seen in the club and photos etc. If your coming to Liverpool this is a must so make some time and pop in and enjoy.

Cavern Club is a great place for live music, if you're into that sort of thing. I went there on a Friday night and the place was jam packed. There was so much excitement and energy in the air, you could cut it with a knife. There was live music and an intimate environment. Everyone was just drinking, hanging out and having a great time. I would definitely go back.

I left part of my soul in Liverpool, especially at The Cavern club, the most famous club in the world. What a perfect place to spend a lovely Saturday evening for Rock n Roll fan in Liverpool. The Beatles performed here almost 300 times in their early years, I even could find Queen’s guitar here 😩🥺

Went for the Beatles show and the group were on point. Entertaining and had the mannerisms, vocals and image nailed. Busy busy place. You'll do well to get one of the unassigned seats. Prices reasonable for the area and what it is. Bits of memorabilia on show. Bar staff were pretty efficient at getting people served.

Super enjoyable evening. The place is very well maintained and the sound is clear. There are some tables and stools, and even memorabilia to look at if there’s no one playing. Shows were super entertaining as well! Only negative was the service — staff was terribly apathetic and seemed even bothered when asked to pour a beer

Had a great time here, and it was my first time in Liverpool, so made for a nice introduction. The ticket was £20 for the Beatles tribute and the supporting acts in both rooms. Beer was fairly priced (i stuck to Gunnies) and the staff here were friendly and accommodating which does help make a difference. Would recommend to fellow first time travellers of Liverpool.

Had a fantastic night in the cavern club making our way through the cocktails menu. They were all lovely but we especially liked Maccas cocktail. Music was brilliant and we spent the night dancing by the stage. Loved the photos of everyone visiting and it was nice to see a huge variety of names. I would have liked to try the food but by the time we arrived all of the tables were taken.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re visiting Liverpool! It’s full of history and memorabilia from bands that have performed here! They do charge £5 entry but it’s worth it as you get two rooms of Live Music! 🎙️ The place gets crowded and full of stags / hen parties but it’s a good vibe with an electric atmosphere! It’s one of those places that you can’t really explain to people unless they’ve been.

I loved the club so much... I was expecting cheesy music, overcharged drinks and I expected a commercial place. And it is not even in slightest. The prices are decent, the atmosphere is amazing and the live music is perfect, musicians are professionals and even though I am not biggest fun of Beatles, the performances of the singers made me love the beatles music. All in all, I can't wait to come back

Getting to this club got me speechless. Just the thought of the music greatness that got played here takes your breath away. As a landmark, this is probably the most underrated landmark I ever visited. If you’re a Beatles fan or just a fan of great rock and roll music, this is just a must visit for you.

We enjoyed every precious minute of our several visits to the Cavern Club while visiting Liverpool during Beatles Week. The good times, high spirits, and warm memories of our time spent “down below” in the Cavern Club were worth every dollar and pound that we spent living a dream finally come true. I love Merseyside and felt quite at home with the good people living and working there.

Really lovely experience for a Beatles fan. You're surrounded by those walls, those posters, it's magic. The singer was nice, he played Beatles songs and also some others, upon request of the audience. The general feeling was enjoyable. I'm not grading with 5 stars because of the people trending the bar. Only ONE of them was actually kind and predisposed and willing to do his job with a smile. And there were a lot of people behind that bar

Lovely little club , £5 entry and lots of things to buy (shirts, postcodes, coasters, magnets. The person on stage was wonderful and kind and played lovely music, must see spot while in Liverpool. Only thing taking away is that you can tell the entire area is advertising themselves in the Beatles and not really trying to put people out there.

Nostalgic atmosphere. Prices above average. Good artist, good voice and musical skills, shame he didn't know Love Grows by Edison Lighthouse to serenade my wife. Lovely way to spend two early afternoon hours. Evening sessions best to buy tickets in advance to ensure entry

Absolutely fantastic place to visit, the vibe, the memorabilia, the atmosphere is brilliant. The entry price is £5 per adult and there are 2 rooms to choose from either main stage or the live lounge. The only problem I could possibly see is that it is not accessible for people who would struggle with stairs as there are a few flights. The bar staff are friendly and drinks are reasonably priced for this kind of venue. Definitely a must visit when in Liverpool and remember to take a felt marker if you want to leave a permanent signature on the vaulted ceiling 😉 we’ll definitely be back 🎸🎶

Loved our first visit. Saturday afternoon and not too busy but soon filled up when the regular Beatles tribute band got on stage. Great atmosphere and great music. Lots of memorabilia on display too. There are tables and chairs but these quickly fill up so be prepared to stand. We didn’t mind as we got to dance. There’s a small bar serving drinks and there’s an entry fee of £5. Highlight of our weekend in Liverpool.

First time in Liverpool and it did not disappoint! I was expecting the cavern club to be dull and dingy and smelling of old socks! It was lovely, vibrant and the atmosphere was buzzing!! I had wondered why anyone would want to pay an admission fee into a club in the middle of the day… now I know why! The live music was fabulous, the acts (Paul & Tony) were really engaging with the audience and I was hooked. Even if you’re not a Beatles fan, you must visit! You can access the live lounge directly from the cavern too and it was a cool space with a bit more modern feel to it. The memorabilia around makes the place a really interesting visit! We had a few drinks and stayed for around 2.5hrs… could’ve stayed all day/night!

Me and the wife was just in awe of this place the atmosphere was incredible and I could have stayed here all day. The live music was fantastic with one of the artists also being like a historian with his knowledge. For the price to enter you cannot get better all day music than this. The drinks were also reasonably priced as let face it they could charge more seeing as your down there for the experience. Will definitely be going back next time with tippex for the walls! Can't wait to return.

A MUST visit during your stay in Liverpool. We did the MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR then went in at the end. You get a free gift and discounts to eat/drink at the Cavern pub and restaurant. So much memorabilia there, really cool. Great LIVE acts constantly on both stages. An absolutely brilliant tour by TONY and the Club afterwards finishes off the Beatles tour nicely!

  • 5/5 Steve A. 5 months ago on Google
£5 each to enter. We went about 5pm, atmosphere was really good, people there were all friendly. Acts change roughly every 2 hours. Playing various different songs from several artists. We stayed about 4 hours, felt at ease to relax and enjoy. Limited seating, but we were happy to stand a join in the vibe. Drinks were reasonably priced, just be prepared you may have to queue at the bar. Loads of merchandise available, again at a good price. Also plaques/pictures/ to view whilst there.

Absolutely phenomenal I had no idea it was this iconic it was one and just the Beatles queen The Kinks, Yardbirds, Gerry, and the pacemakers moody, blues, Elton John, David Bowie, John Lennon with Yoko Ono. The list is phenomenal who started there if anybody is in Liverpool, go to Matthew Street it is well worth it but go on a Monday Tuesday and only pay £5 to get in. If you go on a weekend it’ll cost you £20 per person.

A fantastic venue and a must visit site while in Liverpool. There is always live music being played and there is a great atmosphere, some of the music even includes classic Beatles tracks. Perhaps the most iconic music venue in the UK. Steeped in history (beyond The Beatles!), it is a must visit when in Liverpool. £5 entry allows you to enjoy the various acts that are on stage throughout the day and night, amongst the various signed merchandise on the walls. There is also a Cavern restaurant and pub opposite, and a separate Live Lounge section within the Cavern. Plenty of branded merch to buy too. Friendly staff, and reasonable drinks prices too!

The world famous Cavern Club! What can be said about this place that has not been written already?! It’s a great place to go day and night, always a live act on throughout the entire day. It is the best place to go in Liverpool, fantastic atmosphere and a brilliant vibe. It costs £5 per person to get it and worth every penny. The drinks are all well priced, I thought it would be really expensive for a beer but it’s actually one of the cheaper places to drink in Liverpool. Open late at the weekend and shuts at midnight from Monday to Wednesday. Loads of souvenirs to pick up too. It’s a must visit!!

Although not the original cavern club, and now on the other side of the street, the club has been faithfully recreated. 13,000 bricks from the original club were used in its construction. Really great atmosphere, and the crowd on the evening we spent there were diverse. From young goths, to old codgers like me.! Great range of t-shirts too. We’ll, you have to get one or two don’t you?!

Not a tourist trap at all! Not only are the drinks great and reasonably priced, but you're surrounded by history! I went to the Cavern Club 3 nights in a row to try and get a feel for the place. It was a slightly different environment every time I went. The musicians playing there are absolutely world class. Not to mention the celebrities you bump into wandering around the Cavern Club equally nerding out on the place. I couldn't believe as a musician myself the notes some of the musicians at the cavern were hitting and what they were capable of in general. People would throw the most random songs at them and they'd be ready for it. At the end of the night we were even allowed on stage! Great community atmosphere as well. For locals and international travelers. Lots of people to talk with about common interests and a great overall vibe. The merchandise being sold there is also quite nice! The zip up hoodie is incredibly comfortable.

As expected, if you're a beatles fan then this is the place. £5 to get in but stairs are steep and dark, caution is advised getting down. It does get very sweaty down there and does get packed, but worth it for the atmosphere. Live music all day everyday, drinks were reasonable and some good memorabilia to look at

Went to see the English Beat, who were great. Lovingly recreated iconic venue on a street geared up for all things Merseybeat and music in general. The gig itself was actually out of the original Cavern(which is a general bar)in a back room,so nowhere near as atmospheric. Good gig though.

How could you “do Liverpool” and not visit the Cavern Club?! It’s an absolute must. We booked in advance to see the Beatles tribute band/show which takes place in another part of club which you can only gain access to if you have tickets. It was a good show by all means, and the fella who plays Lennon is remarkable, to the point where if you saw him in the street (in costume) you’d think you’ve time travelled. Next time I visit I’ll stick to the main club as the sets were fantastic, some really talented Liverpudlian fellas with a great atmosphere. Just be aware it’s a long way down flights of stairs (& back up again..!) plus if you’re claustrophobic you may have an issue. Also be aware that Mathew Street can get very busy and rowdy, particularly as the evening marches on…. so if you think you may struggle in that environment I’d recommend considering a daytime visit instead. It’s a great venue however, with stacks of history together with great live music!

The £5 entrance fee is one of the best you'll ever pay in your life. The fee guarantees you with an absurd amount of artists, good music and great vibes. People here come to really have a good time and experience a piece of musical and locally history. It's a constant wow. You can get a mystical encounter if you're lucky. Make sure to connect to the WiFi asap since there's no phone coverage here being 2 stories underground.

What can I say about the iconic Cavern Club that's not been said already! Well worth a visit for any Beatles and Paul McCartney fan. We saw the Paul McCartney/Wings tribute band - Pure McCartney and were not disappointed. We had hoped to see the Beatles tribute band the previous night but it was sold out - early booking is recommended. After the main tribute band finished there was still a Led Zeppelin act which was good although the the repertoire was not limited to Zeppelin songs. It was a bit surreal watching "Robert Plant" singing Status Quo and ABBA songs! 😅 The club is also full of interesting music memorabilia and not confined to the Beatles.

It's an amazing venue , we just saw the house acts but honestly they were great and played all the classics. Also liked the quiet cinema part. Loads of memorabilia to check out. 5 pound in and 10 for 2 drinks, excellent value.

Waited awhile to see this venue. Great place to watch live bands. Beatles show was as good as it gets. Staff were friendly and bat service was great. I highly recommend doing the ticket preorder as we were at the appointed location when they opened the doors and jar our names on a list for early entry. Works well and I would do again.

One of the best spots in Liverpool for live music, it's well worth the £5 cover charge! Sound is amazing in the club itself and the Cavern Lounge out the back is great too. Drinks are maybe a tiny bit more expensive than anywhere else in Mathew Street, but still comparatively cheap. Aside from the amazing atmosphere, it's also a living breathing nostalgic dream! To be surrounded by so much history, it's like rocking out in the world's best Museum! A must visit for any music fan! We visited on a Sunday night and the place was absolutely packed but everyone there is so friendly and happy!
