Used to order there because my friend worked there, mediocre food at best, as of the 29th December 2022 the owner has just sacked 3 delivery drivers over 2 of them being off sick, the 3rd driver actually arrived for work to be turned away on the 30th December, nice Christmas present Tracey well done

Having used this fish and chip shop for many years and always been very happy with the quality of the food, this time the chips were disgusting. They were almost black in colour and very very floppy. Possibly a need of cooking oil change caused it but certainly not up to their usual high standard.

Fish chicken Chinese ribs spring rolls and amazing fresh real chips. Crispy won ton are huge, sui mai also great. Mrs addicted to hot n sour soup. Their chips rock. Ocean wave is easily the best chip shop by a million miles I've never had a bad meal or wrong order in 15+ years. It's simply no contest. They will even tailor make things with like 5 or 6 things added and removed for vegans. This is not just another sweaty wirral chippy. There's a reason it is always mobbed out with customers and massive phone orders. Portions are huge too.

There are not many vegetarian options on the menu. I asked the lady about it and she said anything could be made vegetarian so I ordered a veg egg foo young. Got home to find several different parts of a pig and a distinct lack of vegetables. It was too late and too far to take it back. Thankfully I got chips as well which were decent. Due to the error I won’t be back. Careless really.

Recently lost flavour an taste plus never seems to be open lately when calling but no message to inform of changes..also delivery times wen available far exceed given info on call!! Now found new chippy...Eastern delight....bloody lovely!! Give it a try! It's open at least!

The best chipshop you'll ever find. Staff are SO friendly and helpful and the salt n pepper chicken wings are to die for. Go there once, you'll definitely go again!

I ordered fried rice with no egg cause since being vegan I've missed it, and it was amazing.. Best fried rice ever, best curry ever and the chips here are also the best out of all the chippys I've ever been too!!

Excellent fish and chips. In fact, everything we've had from here has been hot, tasty and reasonably priced.

A wonderful chippy. The food is perfect, and the service is always prompt and with a smile. Occasionally they are closed due to staffing stuff, which is always disappointing as we can't match the quality easily!

Iv not had a bad meal from hear, the Donna Kebabs are excellent, very friendly staff would 👍 recommend

A popular chip-shop in an area where there are several options is always a good sign. The salt and pepper chips are far superior here compared to the competitors. The portions are a little on the small side however I would always go for quality over quantity.

I was eating today and found plastic in my Chinese rice and be aware of what you get in your food before eating from this restaurant not sure if I will go there again but I don’t recommend

This place hasn't a clue how to cook Chinese meals, Fu Yung is an Omelette, sweet and sour is out of a packet. If your coeliac don't bother as they don't know what Gluten is!!! Chips are a disgrace. Never again!!!!

My husband and I used to go to Ocean Wave before lockdown and the fish and chips are excellent. As others have said, the fish are large so we cut one in half. With the large quantity of chips (I can't believe the reviewer who said that the portion of chips was stingy!) one serves both of us - and we are quite hearty eaters!! Since lockdown we have used their delivery service which is fantastic. Both the guys that bring the food are lovely, friendly fellas and get it to us piping hot. A couple of times the fish was a little dry but I can honestly say that this is a rarity out of probably over 100 orders. Keep up the good work!
