Used to love a wootan when they were on lark lane. Food has massively gone down hill. Some of the food is either uncooked or stale? Massively overpriced for what you get. Quality is shocking. I loved having a full vegan Chinese style chippy but it’s not worth wasting my money on now, it ends up in the bin. Really tried to support wootan and hoped it would get better but it gets worse everytime we order unfortunately 😩

Used to be my fave takeaway so was very excited to see them back on deliveroo for delivery. The food arrived cold with sauces missing and the quality is extremely poor now. It was oven food that I could’ve easily made at home. The salt and pepper chips had no onion or pepper just plain chips with maybe a bit of seasoning. Very disappointing.

Love this chippy, totally vegan. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. We've been a few times now even though it's quite far from our house we dont mind the drive for good food and friendly service

It's just not great. Ordered a chicken and Donner kebab with optional chips for an extra fee. 80% of my kebab was chips with some of the chicken on top and no Donner at all . How little would I have got if I didn't buy the chips also. Also a tortilla wrap isn't the same as flat bread. I didnt want a chip burrito. I wanted a chicken and Donner kebab on flat bread. Went to this place when it first opened and I didn't rate it but they were busy and new so I figured they were overwhelmed maybe but it's been a few years now and it was empty so just no excuse for the lack of quality. I've been vegan for 10 years now and as nice as it is to have options now this place won't be an option for me again.

Ordered jackfruit pancakes and salt and pepper box. Jackfruit wasnt cooked in the hoisin sauce (just drizzled on pancake) so had no flavour. And salt and pepper box was soggy and just tasted burnt. Unfortunately didnt enjoy it like i was hoping to.

Used to get a woo tan every time I went to lark lane but the food is awful now. Inconsistent with ingredients and portion sizes. You get barely any veg with your meal now and it just tastes awful. Food is never as described, always different each time. Absolute waste of money. Seems like theyre picking and choosing what theyre including. What happened? Basically just serving asda stir fry meals now with extortionate prices. Last time we ordered half of it went in the bin because we couldn't stomach it. We gave it a few more chances since the move from lark lane thinking it might have just been that they were adjusting to the new location/kitchen but it's gotten worse each time.

Good idea in theory but terrible execution. Ordered a portion of chips, chow mein, extra noodles and curry. The chips can in a foil tray!!… I counted them and there was 12! So me and my partner has 6 each! The chow mein was terrible just thick gloopy noodles not like a chippy with vermicelli noodles.. these were thick and heavy with just a few bits of tofu. The extra noodles are literally just the same as the chow mein! No difference! Been vegan for years and this was one of the worst meals I’ve had

Most of the food was nice, but if you’re looking for a vegan version of traditional scouse Chinese chippy, this ain’t it. Salt and pepper box was not good, chips were somehow soggy and burnt at the same time with 2 dry chicken nuggets. Tiniest portion of curry sauce I’ve ever seen. Sweet and sour was really nice but nothing like a traditional sweet and sour. The char sui was amazing, exactly how I remember char sui tasting. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, we’ll be back to try again but so far I don’t rate it

Wondrous vegan Chinese/Chip Shop. All plant based menu. From classic sausage and chips, curry and chips, to fake beef/chicken noodles/tofu noodles/rice dishes, with a multitude of sauces and many starters to a full vegan banquet. The sesame toast is lovely, the staff are lovely and you can order on deliveroo too. Not harming animals and saving the planet, one dish at a time.

Nice idea but the food was just OK. We ordered a mix of chips, vegetable rice, chinese style noodles and rice noodles to share. Unfortunately, as stated in previous reviews, the rice and chinese noodles had a strong burnt flavour and the rice noodles were too strong with anise flavour. Weirdly, mixing the two types of noodles together added up to something quite tasty. Chips OK and big portions. Everything got eaten but I probably wouldn't go back.

Where do I start, let's just say Woo Tan down the pan. Heard good things about this place, serious bland, burnt tasting sauces. Only good thing was the spring rolls.

I am very sensitive to MSG, the chemical additive that is used in many Chinese restaurants and takeaways. It causes me to have insomnia, shivers, elevated heartbeat, churning stomach. When I do sleep it is restless and full of very disturbing dreams. Knowing this I asked the counter assistant if they used MSG. To be honest I was a little embarrassed to ask this as I mistakenly thought ‘it’s a Vegan place, they’re not going to use that stuff’. Wrong. I was surprised when he said that they did but only on their salt and pepper sauce. I asked about each of the other items on the menu and he said definitely not. Reassured I bought the vegan crispy ‘beef’ with Blackbean sauce and their ‘chippy chips’. I ate half of it but not much more as it was too salty. Pretty soon I felt awful, thumping heart beat and churning stomach. That night I had all of the symptoms above. It’s now 6.30am and I am exhausted. I am so very disappointed as I had heard great things about Woo Tan Scran. In the end they did exactly what all he other Chinese takeaways do and when asked about MSG they become evasive and try to reassure you that their food is ok despite knowing that it is riddled with chemicals. Enough of this please. Be honest. Label it next to your food. If you don’t use it, be proud and display the fact on your windows. Never again Woo Tan Scran. Huge disappointment.

Been 5 times, each time forgetting items such as chips, sauce to even full meals, even though its been paid for (calculate the difference) Items also dont come to spec, plus half your food is cold while your waiting for the other set. Just getting boring at this point

Love this place and been ordering for a couple of years from Lark Lane store but recently some items haven’t been available a lot of the time. They have also stopped writing ‘GF/Gluten Free’ on the boxes so you have to guess which is gluten which is really not good when you have coeliacs because you can’t risk it. Gluten free isn’t always a diet choice so you need to change this!

Lots of things unavailable when ordering, wrong food given. Chips are anemic and food lacks flavour. It's a brilliant idea but sadly they've not hit the nail on the head. Could order chippy chips from local chippy and cook the rest at home and have a nicer cheaper meal.

Me and my partner ordered for us and our lad, the food was beautifully cooked, veg and salads tasted fresh and plenty of them! Tofu vermicelli particularly tasty, and the balance of spice on all our food was perfect, the staff are boss too.

MUST GO! any vegan new or always been a vegan it's a must. I'm vegan my partner isn't but this is our favourite go to chippy. Full of flavour, I eat here at least 2/3 times a week

So frustrating it's very hit and miss. Waited 40 mins for food, which was cold when I got home (5 mins drive) far too salty and veg was just a mass of soggy onions. Been previously and food has been good. When they are busy the quality control appears to go out the window. Also wish they would stop using MSG

All vegan and lots can be made gluten-free. Tasty fried food to take away. The salt and pepper chips are amazing.

😐 Really conflicted with my thoughts about this place as a German. The meat had the quality I was hoping for, the salad was fresh. But that's it with the things positive about the food. Waiting about 15 min to get one kebab, eating it straight outside. The kebab was cold after unwrapping several layer...
