Without a doubt the BEST pub food I have ever tasted (and I have tasted many). The portions are extremely generous. Proper food, none of that packet rubbish. Will be stopping here again on our fortnightly drive through Waltham abbey

Wow, what an excellent Sunday roast, the Size of a med roast was fantastic, the meat was succulent and the whole meal extremely hot, a rearaty in some pubs and restaurants. Veg was a little eldanty fir my liking but that just my taste. Wife had a ceasar salad with tiger prawns which she said was amazing. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will certainly return, thank you horseshoes 👍

The food was very good....Real ham and proper homemade chips.....My friend had the skate and enjoyed it....very big helpings. The barmaid come waitress very pleasant. Only negative was very few people there......

Great pub! Amazing Sunday roast. Staff are friendly and kind . Highly recommended. They do walk-ins but call ahead on Sunday just incase.

Food and atmosphere was very good but let down by the service. When our plates were collected we were not asked if we would like a desert or coffee i stead we was presented with the bill and told to get out as they had other people waiting for the table. Our table was booked for 3.00pm and it was only 4.25pm.

Lovely little pub-restaurant which served huge pies. If you're looking for something meaty these pies have an unbelievable amount of lamb in them! I've never seen so much lamb on one plate before. Was good stuff.

We had a Christmas meal, 17 of us, many other people were there eating and drinking. The staff were brilliant. Food was plentiful and hot with no issues.

Good home cooked food ,if you like seafood this is a very good place to go with daily specials
