5 out 5 for the BunkYard Hostel, staff is very nice, helpful and competent. The hostel itself is very clean and maintains a high standard to satisfy it's customers. Prices are really reasonable and a complementary breakfast is included. I stayed here for two weeks and don't regret staying​ here even for one day. In the lobby you can meet and talk extensively with newcomers from around the globe, the staff even joins in and really puts up an effort to get to know their customers. Best hostel I have ever stayed in. Keep up the amazing work. And thanks for two great weeks!

This is the hostel I have ever been! Great location, super clean (Rooms & facilities), comfortable beds and bed sheets/towels smelling amazingly fresh washed. Outstanding staff, knowledgeable, friendly, good mood, supersuper helpful!!! Breakfast roti & curry plus tea/coffee, but nice European breakfast options around the corner. It has been a great experience, anytime again :)

Absolutely blown away by the hospitality of the staff. Second to none. The rooms are well maintained and the bathrooms were spotless. Will definitely stay here again.

I´ve been here in Sri Lanka for holidays in 2019. I was such an amazing stay at this place. It was nice and really really clean. The shared rooms are big, the showers are amazing. It´s well located and has a good calm atmosphere! 👍 I definitely recommend it!

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel very much. At the time, there wasn't any tourist when I visited Colombo. Service was excellent. They clean everyday! There is water refill, and food to order. I love the acai bowl! The employees love giving out great advice. Thank you so much!

Basic but nice hostel. Really good place to meet people. Not a luxurious place by any means but decent enough.

Not exactly cheap for a Sri Lankan hostel, but a great one. Exceptionally clean, comfortable beds and an amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Ended up having drinks and amazing conversations with them one night. Great common area as well, where you can hang out with the new friends you can be sure to make here.

This is a nice hostel. I stayed in both the dorms as well as a private room. It is social and has a common area with plenty of places to ‘chill out’ the lady that makes breakfast is sooo sweet! I really loved her. She was delightful. The staff is also friendly. The dorm rooms weren’t that comfortable - the light / outlet at my bed did not work and if someone took a shower then the bathroom flooded. The private room was better and I was able to actually sleep.

Located at the heart of the city. Best place to travel around Colombo. Staff super helpful. Clean and safe hostel.

The perfect hostel stay. The hostel is super nice & clean with very friendly staff and magic ambience. Beds in the dorm are awesume and the room well cool :) The breakfast is what make the stay extra worthy, healthy and delicious. All thumbs up for you guys!

Great hostel - my Colombo home. Staff are friendly and well organised. The dorms and bathrooms are to a great standard. Breakfast is super tasty and reasonably priced. Not a lot going on in the area. Only thing the hostel could do to go to the next level is organise hostel events / socials. Perhaps hookup with some walking tours, do sunset drinks etc. Will hopefully be staying at their other hostel down south.

Very accommodating and close to most things! Nice beds, clean, good locker next to the bed, AC, eco-thinking (recycled and local materials), big spacious showers/bathroom with hot (!) showers. I only noted that the dorms should have a key for all the people staying in that particular dorm. The owner said he will think about it. Would come here again!

One of the best places I stayed. The staff is very welcoming and really genuinely friendly here. The included breakfest is pretty good and the house is clean, with everything working as it should, except the wifi which is only available downstairs. Also, it is a bit far from the city centre, but the location is in a nice neighborhood. Would stay longer if I had a reason to stay in Colombo.

Awesome atmosphere. It's the perfect place to meet other travelers especially if you're just starting your trip. Free basic breakfast but they also serve other delicious items at a charge. Hostel is about 15-20 minute drive to Pettah Market and Galle Face Green but it's close to the National Museum and Independence Square. Staff is also very helpful!

Up there with the best hostels I've stayed at around the world. Extremely friendly staff and very centrally located. I loved the quirky design elements, although very new and a work in progress. Largest bunk beds in south Asia I've heard! Keep up the good work.
