Unusual place, we liked it. Staff is super chill. Closest grocery store we found was 20min on foot. There is nothing around really. One night a dude was talking full voice until 2:30 am, provided earplugs didn’t really help. Overall good for 1 night.

Loved this place it was amazing and so cute, The location was just outside the centre 10 min walk from the metro. The staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. You can hear everything though but if you're ok with that you will love it

Amazing place to stay! It was so much fun and everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. There is a rule that you can’t make noise after 11 which I think is great - had a really good nights sleep! Would absolutely stay here again!

I stayed one night at the outside inn. I absolutely loved it, it was so special, I slept in a little cozy caravan, with one big bed and a little electrical fire. I loved it. Bathrooms are downstairs, very clean. Also there are two fridges, with drinks and snacks, you can also store your own stuff there. The staff was very friendly, showed me everything and you could also chat a little bit with them. I felt very well and comfy over the two days and one night I spend there. Also the metro is only about 5 minutes walk away, I was there for a event at ziggo dome, and I was there in about 10 to 15 minutes, very easy. Thank you, I will definitely come back again.

My partner and I stayed here last week and had the best time! We were greeted by a lovely staff member who took us on a tour around the campsite, introducing us to some of the unique ways to accommodate us. They had blankets in case we got too cold, they had fans in case we were too warm and the food station was amazing! The toilets were very clean and fresh towels were given for us to use. The location is brilliant, even though it is not as close to the centre as other places we have stayed it turned out to be far easier as the metro was so close it worked out even better. The staff (a girl and a boy) were so friendly and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable making our experience that much more enjoyable. This was such an enjoyable unique experience and I couldn't recommend it enough! We will definitely be staying again if we every visit Amsterdam.

Great atmosphere, very relaxing environment in a good location and exceptional customer service from Willem and the team. In addition, it is very clean and definitely recommended for everyone looking to relax, someone on a business trip who is looking to have a different experience than just being in a hotel room with a locked door and watching TV:) Well done Team

…as an artist and lecturer at an art university, I can highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to sleep in a Wes Anderson movie set. It‘s so well done, the caravans are renovated with love and good taste and all the rest is really thought of. My bed was comfy and my neighbours very kind. Night silence was respected by everyone and you even got earplugs in case you need more privacy.

We stayed 2 nights at Outside Inn and I must say it's a unique concept to assemble a few caravans and beach houses into an indoor space and provide a reasonably affordable stay in an otherwise expensive city. Pros: Very friendly and co-operative staff. Special mention for Marijke who suggested us the areas and restaurants to explore in the city. Good location, just a few minutes' metro ride away from the city center. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the metro station. All the shared facilities such as bathrooms and toilets were well maintained and clean. Area of improvement: We stayed in Classic Caravan number 13 and it made a squeaky noise everytime we stepped on the floor, probably needing an upgrade. I would rather recommend the other room types when compared to the Classic Caravan Short Beds, as it gets really cramped up in that short space.

We absolutely loved this place and concept! So much fun Our neighbours in the same area decided to party till 2 hours after quite time which was the only little minus - But that is not something to blame on the place. All other stuff was great, and will certainly recommend 🤗

I missed the change to review that on booking, but I had such a lovely time that I’m here reviewing months later. I absolutely love the idea, when I found it on booking I went crazy because I always wanted to have a fun experience while staying in Amsterdam, and the last time it was so expensive to stay close to Van Gogh museum, and not fun. Well, outside inn might be far, but is close to the metro station and it was very easy to find. When you get to your camping van, you instantly have fun, but it’s not a party environment which is good for people who loves the silence (they even play nature sound after 10pm, and lights are off). The toilets are ok, clean and very big. And we had the pleasure to meet the Italian girl who works in the reception, who helped us with some recommendations. Overall, this place is beautiful, cozy and the price is okay. It’s also a good option for couples as the lil cabins are double beds or twins for friends. Highly recommended 🥰

Very convenient location if you re travelling for a match / concert. Venue & stadium are 2 metro stops away. There was a storm during our checkout, the staff let us wait in their lobby until afternoon, they were very kind people. They offer breakfast for a reasonable price. This isn't a place for comfortable stay, but rather an experience.

Extremely cute and relaxing place! All staff were so friendly, bathrooms were always clean and the overall experience was something I’ve never done before and I loved it! I’d definitely consider staying here again.

A really unique indoor camping experience, staying in a vintage caravan. Great facilities, showers , toilets , towels and shower gel , all spotlessly clean . Very respectful other guests so very quiet and calm . Super helpful staff . A real gem of a find , would highly recommend.

Just brilliant. A super cool concept, perfectly executed. The accommodation is fun and comfy. The facilities overall are top quality and spotlessly clean. Meanwhile the host and his team are friendly, helpful and always easy to find. Super little touches like a swing, games, and a lounge to hang out in, mean that when your legs tire of exploring the city, you actually look forward to getting back to your accommodation. Really convenient for transport to the airport and city centre too. Would definitely recommend.

What a great place. A bit quirky but in a good way. Location is very convenient, within two blocks of a metro station. The staff were very helpful, even before I arrived. My "room" was comfortable and clean. Also a nice way to meet some folks. Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a unique experience in one of the worlds great cities.

Very nice place to stay in a unique (but great) setting. Staff were great and the only worry I had was being far from the city centre but the metro was right down the street so it wasn’t a problem at all. Highly recommend

I have been staying in various hotels since February and I chose to book a full quarter of weekly stays with Outside Inn, for business, for the following reasons - 1) when you go to sleep you stay asleep and wake up more refreshed than in any other hotel I’ve stayed in in Amsterdam. The beds are magnificent and the relative isolation provided by the caravans is great. 2) it is extremely clean, and this matters significantly in the day and age of cost saving at other locations where many places will refuse to do anything about various bedbug infestations. Outside Inn is CLEAN! 3) friendliness and a low-key, family oriented environment helps keeps you separated from the regular party tourism common at other locations and for business travelers this matters a lot. Highly recommend for the business traveler who just wants to relax and sleep well.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is❤️The perfect weekend away with my partner for our anniversary, everything was exceptionally clean and they even wrote a happy anniversary on the bed on entrance 🥰🥰 , the staff were so kind and really lovely to talk to and the showers and toilets were clean at all times , metro is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel so that is brilliant and is about 7 stops to Amsterdam central which didn’t take long at all , the decor and lights are beautiful at outside inn and our camper van was gorgeous ! Lovely double bed, a table and seating inside aswell as a hammock and chairs outside to sit in the evening , our stay was perfect and we didn’t want to leave! Would recommend to anyone ! Stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the hostel, extremely friendly staff, toilets are super clean. The rooms are small but cozy. Breakfast was ok-ish but understandable that there are limitations to what can be offered (maybe coffee can be included?) still nice to have the option after a night of heavy drinking 😁 Close to the metro, very quiet area since located in a warehouse quarter. Recommended!

We loved this hotel! It was perfect for our honeymoon! The owner and the staff are very friendly. We got lots of good tips and had so much nice talks with them. The hotel is very unique. Every little caravan or beach house is different and designed with so much love. Everything was clean, modern and new. There is a little kitchen for the guests with coffee, snacks, a fridge, cold drinks and tea. You can book a nice breakfast for each day individual, so you can stay very flexible. There is a lovely vip area, where you can stay after 23:00 so you dont disturb the other guests. We will come back!

It is a mix between a hostel and camping, with the best of both in a very well organised indoor space. The shared toilet and shower were very clean and there is a fridge to store your food and a fridge with soft and alcoholic drinks to buy at a honest price as well as snacks, coffees and tee. I didn't order breakfast but you have the chance to do so if you wish at under €10. Location is great with a metro station very close and trains running until 00.25. I'll definitely stay there again!

Stayed with my 8 year old son. We had a fantastic time and can not wait to return the next time we visit Amsterdam. Willem and the team were fantastic. The entire place was spotless, including the shared shower and toilet facilities. Just 5 minute walk from the nearest Metro and less than 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central.

This was an amazing place. My caravan was very warm and cosy, I love the bean bags dotted around the area. The showers were clean, and I liked that you got a squeegee to wipe away all the water and that there were private sinks so you could brush your teeth without people looking at you. The breakfast was good, but they sometimes don't tell you everything that is in the sandwich (just encase your a picture eater like me) for example I ordered a mozzarella and tomatoes, but it also came with cress and egg . The staff were very kind and i liked that they had a station to refill water bottles. It would be nice if they could turn the lights and the music at 9 pm instead of at 11 pm; or they could do some calming music from 9-11 pm so the children can get to sleep. A heartwarming moment was when a member off staff went out of her way to play with a lonely child. Overall, the location was great, the staff were amazing and this was a very nice, unique place. I really recommend staying, I wish I could have stayed longer. (And by the way, the swing is epic).
