Good destination in down south area. Weligama is mostly famous for tourist attractions. some tourists get a train fron colombo and goes to down south area for journey. And also weligama bay is a most famous area for surfing. And also so many beach parties in here. So many many forigners like to visit here. Because they can rent a bike in this weligama area. And so many hotels and rooms in this weligama area. Famous one and biggest one is a H O T E L M E R I E T . And so many lucksury hotels in this area. And also near weligama beach have a one owner island and itcs owner is a forigner. So other people can't visit here. Finally i say weligama is a one of most attractive place in sri lanka. 🇱🇰 ❤️L O V E S R I L A N K A ❤️

Most trains stop at this station. Get down at this station if heading to Mirissa. Close to weligama beach. Train timings to/from weligama attached here.

Beautiful Train Station. Nice and tidy. All the trains stop here. There is a restroom and also have chairs and tables out side the restroom. Station is decorated with flowers and fish tanks. ❤️ Not much crowded when I visit. Glad this station has a trash can 😁. When I was in fort railway station I couldn't find any. If you travel these days please make sure trains are available. You can use both online website and facebook train groups.

One of the main station.. every express and slow trains are sotp at this station for short while. Not much facilities but good

Natural train station very close to all the places of Weligama! Very cheap to move to Mirissa, Matara, Galle or Colombo

This railway station is very clean and tidy. Good staff members and friendly. Some what better hospitality. In here there was long platform and has much more seats and washroom & restrooms available for both male and female. There was a baggage and good storage at this place.

Really beautiful and neat and clean railway station. Situated in center and walkable distance to beach/bus station/market area. It have 2 lines which means almost all trains take a halt here and crossings happens too. Drinking water available as at all other stations. Toilets are there too.

A railway station where all trains on the coastal line stop. Mainly, transportation facilities to the cities of Matara, Beliatta, Galle , Colombo/Maradana, Kandy and Anuradhapura can be obtained here.
