Very nice place. Fresh seafood and lovely atmosphere. Staff is very helpful and professional. Was there four-five times over our stay, because we enjoyed it very much! Tried prawns, tuna, seabass, octopus and lobster. All very nice.

Good most of the time Really liked the way they grill fish, but sometimes you need to wait for 1+ hour for your meal Also there is no point in buying wine here - the shop is 5 min walk from the location and you are free to bring your own wine no cork fee

Great location with super friendly staff. The seafood was super fresh. Be sure to tell them how you want it cooked however, since they might be overly careful and overcook it.

The food is delicious, especially the grilled fish is straight up awesome. Cooked to the point and tasty. Drinks a good and service is friendly. The chef came around with the lobster tongs to help out with the legs. Absolutely recomended if you enjoy sea food. Make sure to ask for lobster tongs if you go for the rock lobster.

An amazing find! Simple setting, but the fish selection and preparation are outstanding. Enjoyed ocean views and possibly the best fish ever. A hidden gem for seafood enthusiasts!

I had lunch twice at Kuma on my 2 days in Mirissa. Fresh seafood and friendly staff. Grilled seabass was yums, seafood fried rice had chunks of fresh tuna and calamari was good. Restaurant right at the beach :)

Fresh fish on the beach for great price. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, we loved how simple it was: you first select your fish from the market in front, then they cook it up for you on the grill, while you wait with your feet in the sand, looking out to sea.

We had a tuna steak, a whole red snapper, grilled prawns and grilled calamari served with salad and garlic butter. Everything was perfectly cooked. Delicious and reasonably priced. Recommend this place!

Visited their after a very busy week. All that tired feeling was gone. The food tasted great. Nice and well organized place which doesn't get disturbed. The staff was really friendly. A good recommended place.

Beach front location along Weligama beach. We ordered mud crab to be cooked Sri Lankan style as a spicy curry. It was sensational! So super delicious. We were so impressed that we returned a second night for the mud crab curry. Again it was super tasty! Thanks Kuma. Best crab curry in Sri Lanka!

Offers seafood as well as some other choices like burgers, rice, salads etc. Tried the red snapper, which was really well seasoned and tasty. Vegetable fried rice had a fresh feeling that you don't get in all places. Cosy atmosphere in the evening and also people were very interested whether I liked the food. Service could have been faster though. Got my beer more than 10 minutes after ordering.

People working at the restaurant are friendly and check the table regularly. The portions could be big bigger (rice & fries as a side dish where small, they told as that the rice would be a bigger portion). Also, the price is a bit higher than other restaurants - but there is no service charge. What i really didn’t like tough was that the owner asked for a review on google and would rent about it for a couple of minutes expecting us to leave one in front of him.

The food was amazing. Best seafood i had in Sri Lanka so far and in a long time. We had barracuda fish, red snapper and lagoon prawn. They were all superb, delicate, well grilled, and fresh. Barracuda was wonderful in particular. We wished we stayed longer so we could come here again. I'd try to visit again when in Weligama again. The staff was super helpful and pleasant too. Non pushy and very polite. The location in the beach was great too. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Seems good and fine. But will rip u off once u order. Worst customer service and worst attitude. They will try to charge u for everything they can. U ask for water bottle they give u but when u ask for cups they say no cups are served in any restaurants around. Food is ok, but very bad attitude

Good sea food and reasonable prices. Don't expect fast food, this is not that kind of a place. They take their time to prepare the food but it is worth the wait. So don't go there and complain about the service. The locals do a good job with the limited resources they have but the sea food is fresh and delicious. So allow them some time and have a few beers meanwhile. Usually it takes like an hour but it's fine since you are at the beach and can have a beer. Give this place a try. Recommend the cuttle fish, mussels and grilled red mullet.

Seafood for reasonable price without a lot of spices which can spoil the meal. Place is on the beach, very nice and romantic. Prawns were overfried but it's a common problem here, fish was delicious. I assume it's the best seafood restaurant in weligama.
