This place is a unicorn in the Sri Lankan surfers’ paradise setting aka Japanese food curated by a Russian chef! I was impressed with the decor and ambiance. Russians are very knowledgeable about fine dining - all foodies know that. People who expect some sort of lowbrow sushi buffet with photos in the menu at the low price, please keep walking by - this place is simply not for you. The service was speedy and lighthearted, my drinks were crisp and refreshing and ..they even let me pay the next day since I didn’t have enough cash on me. Will definitely come back to taste more items.

We came to experience sushi food. We had a nice shot on the house in the beginning and ordered our dishes. There Aren't really vegan dishes. When we got the check, we discovered that we were overcharged due to the sauces we have ordered, without the waiters or the menu telling us it cost money. The food is overpriced and isn't worth the taste.

My boyfriend took me to have lunch to this out of the box restaurant compared to other places we have visited in the south of Sri Lanka and even in Colombo. Very nice interior and decoration, music was also good. We were welcomed with a small shot of mix juice that honestly it doesn't look good because of the green - yellowish color but it tasted good after all 😅... No beer even they have alcohol license 👎 and we really like our sushi with beer, so I suggested my boyfriend to try soju, we ordered 2 different kinds and both were good, but we liked more the hakutake shiro. The cucumber salad was a very small portion taking in count that the main ingredient is very cheap, taste wise, it was acceptable. The nigiri set was ok but the cut of the fish had some muscle tissue hard for chewing, so my best advice will be to cut it properly or to make smaller nigiri that you can fit in your mouth in one bite, the best one surprisingly was the tuna nigiri. The miso soup was great, earthy flavors, lots of seaweed, shitake mushrooms, tofu and rice noodles. And to finish the tuna creamy jalapeño was really good, but we didn't taste any Jalapeño in it.

Perfect fine dining experience, great sushi, and a professional staff. I tried all the sushi on the menu, and they were all so tasty and crisp. They welcome you with a juice shot. If you're hungry and want something to balance your blood sugar until your dish has been served or just want something to satisfy your tastebuds, this is so nice and welcoming. My only feedback to the restaurant would be to offer a credit card option because I personally don't like to carry a lot of cash, so I couldn't pay in LKR. However, the staff accepted my payment in euros.

This place is fantastic ! We didn't book a table so we're asked if it was ok if we sit at the "chef table", of course we agreed. I was mesmerized by the kitchen staff and their meticulous gestures. It was so hard to choose from the menu as everything seemed delicious. The passion fruit and mint mocktail was out of this world. The different sushi rolls and appetizers were all so tasty and every detail made a huge difference and made each dish very special. The quality of the products was incredible. We even got the dessert on the house served by the chef himself. The perfect combination of crumbles, cheesecake and passionfruit mousse. I would recommend for any sushi lover or just for anyone who likes good cuisine and new experiences.

Very good restaurant! One of the best sushi rolls ever. Awesome deserts. Beautiful interior and pleasant staff. You should reserve a table before visit, because there are few tables inside. You can also sit at the bar. Strongly recommended!

We were recommend this fantastic spot by a friend and it did not disappoint. The staff were very attentive. Devine cocktails and sensational food! It’s a very good vibe and I would absolutely go back again!

Very tasty breakfast, smoothie with blueberry, banana and pomegranate was out of my expectations! 😋 Japanese milk bread with crispy prawns and daikon was nice, but truffle sauce inside was not my favourite 😆 Additional thanks for a complementary desert, yummy 🤤
