I stayed there for three nights and enjoyed it. The roomsize is good and there is a locker that can store a big backpack. The price included a breakfast, which consists of some fruits, bread and fried eggs. What I liked most about this hostel were the very big and comfortable communal areas, the friendly staff and the activitys every night. All in all the best hostel I have been in Sri Lanka.

Nice hostel close to the beach and main strip. Bug communal area to chill and meet others, just wish they had a few more fans to cool it down a little 🥵

The BEST hostel in Sri Lanka!! We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and loved it so much that we came back before we flew home. The people working there are extremely helpful and so friendly. Amazing location for a hostel (5mins walk from the beach) and a kitchen to cook your own food. Super sociable and welcoming. I would recommend this hostel to everyone☺️

I loved my stay at Spindrift! I stayed there for 2 weeks and had a really great time! Everyone was friendly and the hostel was really clean and had great activities!

When we arrived there was a cockroach in the bed (private room) which they put out and cleaned the room the next day. on day 2 I again woke up next to a cockroach in the bed. we left early and the refund for the remaining days was no problem and the staff was really nice but I just couldn't sleep there anymore.

Somehow the epitome of a well-designed hostel. Much corresponds to what one would expect in the best case. The crowd also stood out in a particularly positive way during our stay. All of them nice and approachable people. In addition, there are decent rest periods, so you can also get a good night's sleep. Everything is reasonably clean and shoes are usually left outside the door. The prices are absolutely affordable and reasonable. Last but not least, various joint activities are offered.

I had the best time at Spindrift!! A super social, clean, and comfy hostel. An awesome place to stay if you’re on your own or with a group. There is an activity every afternoon/ evenings which is great for bringing everyone together. Charlotte and Josh have created an amazing place!! Can’t wait to come back 💛

I've stayed at many a hostel and this is definitely the best place in Sri Lanka. Great for meeting people and so clean. The hosts are English and very friendly and helpful. Book ahead to avoid disappointment as they do get booked up. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Really good hostel. Good vibes and welcoming staff. Breakfast is also nice (incl.). Social activities are also a + there. The only negative is that the fan dorm was extremely hot, we really struggled to fall asleep.

Stayed here a couple of nights and totally loved it! Beds are comfy, everything is very clean and everyone super friendly! It’s very social, but does not organise parties at the place, so you can sleep at night if you want to - perfect balance! Would absolutely recommend it and stay again if I’m in Weligama!

Top hostel/guesthouse on the South coast. Clean and bright atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. Social and fun environment where guests can chill solo or join in on guesthouse activities. Traveling through Sri Lanka I'd be asked if I can recommend a place in the South - Spindrift was my only answer, but as I found out, I'm not alone - when I mentioned "Spindrift" there were a few occasions where other travelers had already been given it as a "must stay".

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. The owners are amazing, the fact that they have travelled is so obvious in the attention to detail in the hostel. The beds are the most comfortable hostel beds I have ever slept in and the breakfast was superb (there was even avocado!) There was something on every night too to bring everyone together so the social scene was great. Would give 6 stars if I could.

You will come here and keep extending your stay. Charlotte and Josh are super helpful and there is such a social atmosphere. They organise activities every night and it's 2 mins walk to the best surf, even for beginners. The hostel is so cosy and a great place to chill. Breakfast is good for an included with fresh eggs cooked however you want!

Josh and Charlotte are amazing! The place is beautiful and beds are comfy. Really feels like a family there. Watched the sunset all together, everyone went out together, breakfast in the morning together. Can join in the nightly festivities or take it easy with a movie, either way great experience.

Charlotte and Josh run the best, most inclusive, fun and friendly hostel I’ve ever been to! Everyone here is wonderful and it has a chill atmosphere. Each day there’s something new to do and people to hang out with. Such a great location & they have so many good food, beach & surf spot recommendations in the area. An absolute must stay place for all travellers, especially solo!

I was one of the first guests to stay at the hostel when it opened and my experience was excellent. It is very clean, tidy and has everything you need for a good stay! The activities that are run are awesome and location of the hostel is brilliant!
