Room was extremely dated, we weren’t expecting for the hotel to be fancy by any means but you would think that you would get what you pay for. For 169$ a night, you would expect the bathroom fan to work properly and not make you think that the whole building might blow up while you’re in the shower. This is a 79$ hotel to the most. There was a giant hole in the wall in the bathroom by the toilet, you could see inside the wall and the shower was also dated, circa 1979.

This hotel has bed bugs DO NOT STAY HERE!! Upon doing a check of the room, we noticed the mattress cover on one of the beds seemed to have mold/dirt on it, we asked the hotel staff for the bed to be changed and they were understanding. After they changed it, we noticed the entire box spring underneath was covered in what looked like bed bug poop and/or dirt. Then we saw a live bed bug on the bed. The concierge was very understanding and confirmed when we showed her photos that it was in fact bed bugs. She refunded us our money for the 2 nights we were meant to stay, we ended up leaving after 1 night upon seeing this. Giving 3 stars for service because though the concierge was very helpful and understanding - the head of housekeeping we spoke to about the original issue clearly saw the state of the box spring when changing the mattress cover, and actively chose to ignore it. Do not recommend staying here unless you want bed bugs. Now we are terrified of bringing them into our home. Checked in here November 2nd, 2023. Added photos to my review below so you can see for yourself.

Was pleasantly surprised with this location. Check-in was smooth and able to get a room by parking which was requested. Able to walk from room and step outside to parked car. Was close to lots restaurants and not far from the falls. Would recommend.

Poor quality hotel… more like motel. Poorly staffed. Lobby had weird smell, and inside room iron table was broken. Pets were allowed inside in dining room as well… and dining room situation was worst. The breakfast was half missing and most food was stale. When asking the staff, they apologised for “not being able to go on their grocery trip yet”. Just pay another extra $10-20 and get a better hotel, and skip out on this one instead.

This is a 2 star hotel. No elevator, no accessible rooms. Possible bed bugs - I found one in my travel bag. This is a homeless hotel. Beds were very comfy. Breakfast waffles were good. Breakfast nook very well stocked and spotless.

This place is awful. Its dated and smells. I booked 2 nights but only stayed one night. Worst place I have ever stayed. Stay away from this dump.

I remember when Travelodge was a strong brand. Well, they have really let their standards sink. A bathroom door that couldn't be closed, a wall covered in black mold, a water stained phone, a hole in the wall, a smear of something brown on the wall, a dog in a nearby room barking *all night long*. It was a truly unpleasant experience. Avoid.

The plus point is it is near to Niagara falls and it is cheap. Breakfast was good but they don't refill if it get emptied like yogurt and fruits. Coffee and pancakes are good. Rooms were clean and comfy. Good access to parking from room only.

This is a hotel you should only visit when desperate, and only for one night. The entire complex including rooms was due for a renovation 15yrs ago. Pro's: continental breakfast wasn't bad. Cons: there is a persistent foul odour throughout -carpets are old and stained -shower in room wouldn't work -wallpaper is peeling from the walls and painted over -showerheads are wrapped in rubber due to the leaking connections -bed headboards are falling off the wall -the linens are over starched and make your skin itchy -tv quality looks like old crt quality -only one available wall outlet in room to plug phone in -the staff seemed unhappy to be there

I booked the hotel because it’s pets friendly. Everything was going well until the morning after, when, without anybody advising dogs were not allowed in the breakfast area, the front desk lady told us to leave in the middle of our meal, not in a nice way, for safety and igiene reasons. If you have a pet either you leave it in your room from breakfast or don’t pick this hotel because is not fully pet friendly

3.5 stars. Old building with ancient AC. Very good rooms otherwise that are quiet with comfortable beds, pillows but too full and soft for my liking but no big deal. Breakfast sub par with little choice. Waffle station pancake mix very dry.

Nice little place, not wheelchair accessible. All in all the staff was very accommodating and willing to help in any way possible.

Spent less than 12 hours there and it is your basic 3 star hotel. A little worn and old but it will do. Lots of restaurants nearby. Nice staff from the housekeepers to the front desk. It was quiet the night I was there and that is what I needed.

Construction in the room next door until 10pm. Carpets were horribly stained. Not much of a breakfast selection. No eggs, sausage, bacon. For the price charged it all was disappointing

It's fine if you need a basic hotel. Breakfast has some good options but wasn't refilled very quickly. Walls keep thing quite quiet.

I stayed here for work, and I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy with too many clean pillows, microwave, heater, A/C, fridge. Breakfast was good, good place to sleep and go

Dingy lighting, but comfortable large bed. Perfect for our needs. Staff were very friendly and professional, happy to answer questions. The pictures show a pool and gym but there's nothing like this on the property. Also, they didn't have small extras ie. Toothpaste, but a lot of places don't. If you're looking for something reasonable price wise and with staff who treat you well, this is a perfect stayover. The only thing that brings it down is the damage from previous guests who did not follow rules, you may find an old cigarette stain in the bathroom for example, however it smelled and looked clean. Also, they have water at the lobby which other hotels along our way have not had any free drinking water..this makes a huge difference

The odour in the hallways leading the room were disgusting and once we found 2 cockroaches in the toilet in our room and hairs in the bedsheets we decided this hotel was not for us. The TV did not work and the presence of the long term guests outside is not very inviting.

ABSOLUTELY FLOORED. After having this hotel booked and PAID for, we ended up getting to the hotel and finding out that they cancelled our hotel room and CHARGED the card. My wife, 1yr old daughter and I were travelling from Alberta to Welland for a family emergency. We found out our plane was going to be delayed a hr and a half. My wife called front desk and let them know we will be there between 3-5 am in the morning. the hotel is paid for and theres a credit card on file. We WILL be there none the less. Our rental car wasn’t ready when we landed so that delayed some more time and after finally getting the car and driving to the hotel we arrived at 7 am. They no showed us charged the credit card for the the night. After being up for a near 24 hrs I couldn’t believe that after the heads up we’d be late, a hotel of all places couldn’t provide us a place to lay our heads even though we paid. The 2 women at the desk showed ZERO hospitality about the situation and were extremely unaccommodating. I do not recommend this hotel. The service is complete trash and I cannot believe after everything they couldn’t figure it out for a 700 dollar 3 day stay. Comfort inn down the street was exceptional to deal with and had a room figured out for us in 8 minutes with 2 gift cards to IHOP breakfast. And 100 dollars cheaper. Do not book with travel lodge.

I had front desk let herself into my room after 11pm. Apparently she did knock, but well sleeping and didn't hear. My room was also missing the metal latch. I have been trying for over a week to get a hold of a manager/supervisor/owner to inform of the incident and discuss. No one is returning my calls.

Very happy with our stay. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Check in and out was easy and fast. Was visiting family so did not have breakfast but it looked like good options were provided. Will stay again next time we're in town.

Approx $147.00 per night & we regret every second of staying there.. Very very very basic & outdated rooms, two end tables but only lamp, Beds are VERY uncomfortable, tv only had 15 channels, & we constantly had to get them to reset the channels multiple times for us as those channels stopped working. There was internet for the room but there was No Netflix & No Prime even though it showed it on the tv. Laundry room was out of service, ice machine was out of service, they have vending machines but have no change to breaks bills to be able to use them rendering them useless to use. Breakfast was ok, muffins were stale but otherwise it was just meh. I would not recommend this place to anyone & I would never return.

Shady characters hanging around, make sure vehicles are locked. Seems like there may be people living in the hotel. Not bad for a cheap hotel, but wouldn't come back. Breakfast was sub par for a continental. Everything was dumpy and run-down.

Go somewhere else if you can. Run down hotel. Questionnable carpet in the room, no screens in the window, paint and wallpaper are peeling off, stained toilet and bath… The front desk hangs up when you try to reach them from the room. Part of the hallways are blocked off/condemned, some rooms are stripped with no door. We had booked for two nights but cancelled the second and went somewhere else. Run.

Check in was efficient. Room was OK had a few problems..fridge very noisy-ended up unplugging it..it's was driving me nuts. Got back from evening out at 9:30pm and TV couldn't connect to internet. Front desk couldn't get it working either..they were great and offered a replacement TV or another room..but we just wanted to relax so declined. Continental breakfast included was a pleasant surprise, not expected. Coffee as surprisingly good. Staff were very friendly and apologized for the issues. Didn't offer discount, and I didn't ask for one. I'd consider going back there on another stay but would take another room (I was in 110).

This is a pretty good hotel room for price. It had tile floor instead of carpet, which for us is a plus, the heater was good even though it was old, and had free coffee, hot water and cold water as a courtesy. The minor things that we noticed were 1) the bathroom door handle was really old, 2) no toilet paper holder, and 3) the bathroom door banged against the iron.

The staff at the Travelodge in Welland have been great. The room was clean and they gave us pretty much everything we needed to get through the night. They were great when we were in a crisis. The only reason I can’t rate them 5 stars is because there are so many people smoking in here you could almost see it in the hallways. Couldn’t sleep because my throat was raw from breathing the air in this non smoking hotel. 💨🤭😩

Most of the first floor was being renovated. The hallways were lined with trash outside the doors. It looked really dingy however the rooms were fairly clean and a good size. Smoke free building.

Room was clean. Dated too, but that's not a complaint. I called for a late check out and when the shifts changed the other receptionist that was there said that I did not have late check out. Kind of threw a wrench in my day. The housekeeping staff and the initial receptionist was friendly and welcoming.

Please Read 🙏I was so disappointed because I booked a room via reservations.com and they mistakenly enter the wrong number of Adults. They charged from my card. I cancelled it right away after I got the confirmation mail. It is been 34 days and still I'm waiting for my refund. Both the parties claimed that they have done the refund but hadn't gotten it yet.

Nice place, clean, quiet, lacks some amenities (ie 2nd floor ice machine and working vending machines), but all that can be obviated by a quick run to a corner store a short walk away. Staff was really good. And efficient. Happy with the beds, the bedding, and size of the rooms. Didn't really have time for watching TV or anything in the room as schedule did not allow for it.

Stayed here two nights, the rooms are clean, beds are soooo comfortable and the staff are friendly and super accommodating. I'll stay here every time I need some me time.

I had a terrible stay at Travelogue Welland. The room was infested with bugs, dusty, and some facilities were broken. The air conditioner was filthy and noisy. The renovation noise was unbearable and disturbed my sleep. The staff were lazy and unhelpful. The room card often failed to work and I had to go back to the front desk several times. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness, comfort, and service.

From moment you arrive you can tell unkempt / not mowed / garbage heaped and overflowing in bin in parking lot / fence broken down . We checked in and looked at room before bringing luggage. Bed poorly made / floor dirty / furniture banged / worn … look Like yard sale / sliding door barely worked. Unable to get refund … told we would have to pay full price . Room was recleaned and I asked that they vacuum hallway at least . Surprise stains on floor came off . Wyndam should be ashamed to attach their name to this hotel . 271 dollars ! I will never stay at a Wyndam again !
