The Japanese chicken burger is the best burger I can remember having. Couldn’t think of anything that would make the food better. Very busy place for good reason. Lovely interior design. The drinks were also 10/10

Lovely little place. Really good food with lots of veggie and vegan options. The staff are fantastic, very attentive but not hovering over you. Great and tasty food. Recommended.

Now in my top 3 favourite breakfasts. Really, really nice. Full English is huge and lush. Brioche French Toast amazing. Great leaf tea. Staff are wonderful. Lovely atmosphere. Dogs welcome too. We are now officially regulars! Highly recommended.

Arrived just before opening and was welcomed inside slightly early and given breakfast menu. Really good choices and some unusual items that made it feel a bit more interesting than other places. Coffee was good and slices of cake were really big. Got busy within 20mins of opening and had a nice family feel with people of all ages coming in for both food and drinks. Staff were welcoming and friendly with good service.

Amazing vibe and atmosphere, staff is absolutely wonderful and ever so friendly! Came in around 12:30 craving scrambled eggs & toast (breakfast time was over of course) and they still managed to get what I want, I was pleasantly surprised how nice the food was! Made me do my lil happy dance while eating, definitely made my day better 😁top notch service, couldn’t fault it 🤌🏼will be coming back for some nice cup of tea and lunch ✨ 5/5 😌😍

Lovely, lovely food! Very nice vibe inside and generally always fairly busy which I take as a very good sign too. The staff sometimes could do with being a little more warm but usually overall are great! The food keeps us coming back no doubt about that, and there's always good veggie/vegan options which are just as tasty!

I highly recommend this lovely cafe - I had the falafel wrap and my friend had the dirty fries, both dishes tasted absolutely delicious and were presented beautifully too. We initially thought we'd share a bit of the homemade Victoria sponge but it was so nice we ordered another slice! I'll definitely be back :)

Been coming to this place for years but last time i visited 5 years ago & still cant forget the lavender cake i have had here. This time breakfast for not fan of gluten.. Sat outside ordered scramble eggs + avocado 🥑🍳 + flat white with oat milk. Eggs were super flavour purfect and really nice consistency avocado lacked seasoning but was fresh + gluten free bread.. Im sure it tazte much better with the sourdough bread. Over all it missed a bit of salt and black peper on top may be even squeeze of lemon on avo and perhaps a little more sprinkle of oil for the bread. Coffee wqs pleasant + staff friendly.. Thank you

This on trend boho chic and middle Eastern/Mediterranean style eatery is set on the main Sherwood road , with great public transport links from the city of Nottingham. The decors quirky and eclectic style mix , features up cycled vintage furniture and fixings plus , Moorish style ceramic tiles and vintage ornaments and artwork features which have been created to give a very special atmosphere which all adds up to the crimson tree experience . The crimson tree upon our visit was bustling with a good customer base , that I guess we're regulars , and all were enjoying the food and ambiance of the crimson tree eatery . The food on offer was presented very well and all the pastries I viewed were baked to artisan quality and were good sizes for individual portions . We purchased a sandwich which was plated up with a salad for two and it was top quality fresh bread !! Baked to a very high standard , plus the salad was served with a light oil dressing that complimented it perfectly and was included in the cost in addition to this we also had a hummus and pita bread plus a large glass of merlot and a carafe of chilled water , the cost in total was circa £21 which was reasonable for the quality of food and drink on offer . The wine choice is quite good and varied and should suit most palates and beer and coffee plus soft drinks are available . The crimson tree experience is a very relaxing comfortable vibe and is an ideal place for friends family or perhaps a romantic dinner , please might I add although alcohol is served here it is not a pub experience type venue and is more of a food and drink experience as good food good wine and good company go together !! , that's the crimson tree experience . The staff upon our visit were polite and friendly and helpful with menu choices and keen to make sure our visit was a good one . This was our first to the crimson tree eatery and I'm sure if we're in the area we will return , if you have the chance to visit I'm sure you will enjoy the experience like ourselves . A MUST PLACE VISIT WHILST IN THE SHERWOOD AREA !!

I got there by coincidence and I am glad it happened. The entrance is adorable and inviting. Internal design is vibrant, but at the same time soft. The combination of styles makes this place unique. Cosy. They bake, I only assume, their own croissants and other pastries, which is something I would happily come back for once in the area next time. The smell is incredible. I am just wondering if they have vegan options too. Unfortunately, I did not eat anything, as I was full from lunch, so I can't say anything about the flavours. We popped in for a coffee only. I ordered an iced coffee with oat milk and it was delicious and refreshing, my friend had a cappuccino and he was very pleased with the look and taste of it too. We did not pay that much as well, which is beneficial. The service was impeccable. I would love to see such friendly and smiling faces in every single cafe and restaurant. The toilet was clean, although as far as I noticed there is just one. This was not a problem, as the place wasn't overly crowded, but I can imagine if it is. Just to summarise, I would love to come back, maybe for some food this time, as it is a lovely place.

Absolutely fantastic. Everything, the decor, staff, service and food. One not to be missed. If you are wondering about eating here, wonder no longer, just do it. Just wish this place was more local for us.

Came out for a spontaneous family breakfast and loved it! Super authentic, really welcoming to our 2 year old, everything was fresh and delicious. The coffee was absolutely gorgeous as well! Toddler rated it ‘BEST PORRIDGE EVER’ and my chef boyfriend (stupidly hard to please) was absolutely wowed. we will be back!

We had a lovely lunch here. The service was perfect, friendly and we didn’t have to wait long although it was busy. The food was wonderfully different and the chunky chips spot on! A really nice atmosphere too in a quirky cafe/restaurant

Friendly, busy, good food and a nice atmosphere. The Dirty Fries with chicken shawarma was really tasty, and my partners quiche and salads went down well, too. Well worth a visit if you can get a table.

First time here with my mother last weekend, amazing breakfast, different to your regular pub/cafe breakfast, delicious and a lot on the plate. Definitely recommend

It was a great experience visiting this place. Fine food, lovely coffee, great cakes. I highly recommend it, if you are visiting. Cise was a great waitress as well. I am coming tomorrow for breakfast 🍳

Definitely changed atmosphere since being taken over by the new owners, the food was still good but the staff forgot about our drinks and then told us it was because the kitchen was so busy but regardless, it shouldn’t take 45minutes for 2 cups of tea and an orange juice. The place still has potential to be absolutely lovely- maybe just turn on the fairy lights alone and the atmosphere would be improved! If you were planning on coming here then the breakfast menu is definitely the highlight of the place so definitely try and get in for that.

Food was good - fairly pricey but good ingredients and the presentation and the service was friendly and attentive too. Only real gripe was that the place was freezing cold - I know heating costs are high right now but if I'm spending nearly £30 on a couple of breakfasts I'd prefer not to succumb to hypothermia before I finish my meal

Always busy, don't think you can reserve a table. I find the food a little hit & miss. Bacon sandwiches are lovely and reasonably priced, other items are very expensive, particularly with a hot drink too. We visited on a cold, windy day and the door repeatedly blew open which frankly got on my pip as it made it very 🥶 . Staff didn't appear to notice or care that we had to keep asking other customers to close the door on the way in! Nicely furnished & very clean, staff could be a little more switched on & attentive but as I said previously, always busy so I must be in a minority!

I went with work colleagues for a lunch. We had to wait for seats, which is fine, its quite relaxed as people that were in while we we're waiting for a seat were still sat chatting when we eventually left. Nursing a coffee and hogging tables seemed to be the order of the day! Its quite a small and uninspiring menu. I had the fish finger sandwich ( I would never normally choose that but there was nothing else for me, its weighted heavily towards veggie / vegan) the bread was thick and really tasty but it wasn't filled with the fish finger, my first thought was that one had fallen out! That said the chunky chips were fantastic and the wine was quite decent. When we spoke to the staff items we asked for we're forgotten so we had to ask / remind them. But overall we had decided early on that we probably wouldn't visit again in the near future with the menu as it is..Shame.

This is a popular little place, The food was decent, the cakes were very good. A bit expensive for what it is. The waiter kept hanging about and cleared our plates away as soon as we'd finished eating. He then hovered about all the time when we had a 2nd drink. For that reason, I wouldn't rush to go back.
