Dare to go off the beaten track to eat delicious food and dine with and like the locals. This place is super cool. I love the vibe and space. Service was fabulous and very friendly and also quick with hot food. Drinks are fun and many natural. The food is delicious with generous portions. So do give it a try. Limited menu options...and no liquor served was a downer - I wanted a Red Stripe with my Curry Goat dinner. Other than the lack of liquor the visit and food was great along with the real local prices...Shot out to Vivian Tours for recommending and also taking us there!!!

Unlike other occasions, the food we purchased here yesterday was awful, the rice was dried out, as if it had burnt and the curry goat was not well prepared, we could actually taste the curry powder, very disappointed! Also, the counter service was poor, the server seemed overwhelmed and disorganized.

Great, simple Jamaican food. It’s a local-ish restaurant, so def 5 star for the type of venue. Clean, reasonable prices, very tasty food (we had the curried chicken and the shrimp fried rice, along with the rice & peas and chicken broth). Quick service and the kitchen was timely, food came out hot. Absolutely felt like it was good value and would (will, if have time!) def go again.

Hadn't been here for some years but the quality of the food was still as good as ever. Their Oxtail and curry goat are the best in Negril! Get there early or order in advance because these are two of their most popular dishes. 🍲🍲🍲👍🏾

Great stuff here. Straight to the point deliciousness. Had the oxtail and the curry chicken. Both great. Good pricing as well. Had some fresh fruit drinks on the side as well. Complimentary chicken soup to start really gets you rev’d up with its spicy kick.

Very good customer service, my expectations for taste of foods was not there ,specially for fried rice but price is very reasonable and not expensive. there was no much crowd for dine in but I noticed that big waiting line for takeaway. Location also perfect, no issues with parking, we had enough parking spaces. Don’t expect indian foods or that taste from this restaurant.

Highly recommended if you are in town. Great natural juices and local food at reasonable prices. In season, try the ackee and fish! Great experience overall.

Delicious food. Great prices. I had curry goat and my son had a lobster salad. ( I was able to feed three people and only spend $38 USD can't do that in America)

The food is always consistent at Sweet Spice. It's well seasoned and flavourful, however their menu could do well with some newly added variety. I always enjoy their Beef Chop Suey and recently tried their Grilled Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice which were delightful. The facilities are in need of a facelift but the overall atmosphere is enjoyable due to the decor, which feels as though you've gone below deck on a pirate ship. The staff is okay. They are helpful and polite for the most part, but as seen in most Jamaican establishments, will prefer to promptly greet tourists and not acknowledge locals until they deem it fit. Not a bad experience overall.

Really good restaurant. Wanted oxtail but not available so settled for brown stew beef which was delicious. If you are expecting 5 star service realize this is a local place and thus the service will be fine but not special. But go for the food. Especially when they have oxtail.

Food was okay I expected a little more spiciness in my food since I went for the local type of restaurant. Jerk chicken was alright. And the amount of oxtail is very generous, the fried fish with the sauce was on point tho. juices and smoothies however are pretty GOOD! The atmosphere is very laid back, feels as if you having dinner with a local family. IF you coming from like LA or NYC or any major city expect to wait for your food. It’s VERY laid back. Relax have a conversation and wait. FYI

Excellent food and excellent service. Had the curried goat at Christmas and it was delicious and the service was extremely good and helpful. Very popular with locals for birthdays and stuff. Banana milkshake is amazing.

Not a tourist spot unless you want real local Jamaican food. From outside you would not want to even go inside but once inside it feels like you are at a friend's house. Everything on the menu is excellent, including the drinks. I have been there for breakfast & dinner now. I can't wait to go back again and again. I recommend you go early cause once they are out you are out of luck with best meals like oxtail runs out fast.

This is a nice little cozy restaurant that offers dine in and take out. They don’t sell alcohol however they have a large selection of juice and drink options such as natural blended juices, sodas and drinks. They have a variety of Jamaican food and the interior design encapsulates our culture as they had different pictures, Jamaican phrases quoted and framed with mostly wooden furniture. The waitress greeted me and directed me to an empty seat, then provided a board menu (very unique) I reviewed the menu asked a few questions about the food options then decided to take peppered steak, mashed potatoes and the curried seafood with shrimp lobster and conch (they had no conch available) the meals were served with rice and peas which was very rich in coconut milk and tasty. I ordered beetroot and carrot juice which was rich and delicious. I did enjoy my meal here everything was prepared well. There is also a big parking lot and the bathrooms were clean. Great place.

I had the soup and oxtails and they were both full of flavor... And the portions of the entries were on the larger size! All of the drinks were amazing too!

The food at sweet spice really is described in their name. Great flavours and great portions. Will definitely be going there again when I’m back in Jamaica.

My gf and I have eaten their food twice this trip on a recommendation from a local. The first time we went in to eat. The chicken soup they give you before your order is probably the best I've ever had. My gf got conch and I had escoveitch snapper. Both excellent. I left very full and happy. Tonight we ordered in curried goat. Let me say in advance that maybe it was an off night for them. I have no idea. All the reviews say it's supposed to be excellent. Well. Out of both orders it was 90% bone and gristle. We were both super disappointed. We ended up throwing it all out and visiting a local chicken guy on the beach road. Sorry but that was our experience.

Visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and the food was amazing. Especially the oxtail but every dish we had was amazing as well. Also, the service was wonderful. My family members and I still think about this experience to this day. This is a must-visit restaurant if you were to ever visit Negril.

The Food was great and reasonably priced. I had the conch steak with rice and peas for only $1700 jmd. They also had things like lobster, curried shrimp, curried conch, stewed beef, curried goat etc. The waiter was super pleasant and accomodating. We also got free vegetable soup as appetizer
