Straight rock n roll vibes… super lively bands, good crowd energy, clean bathrooms. This place was super fun and lit definitely would recommend if you’re into live music.

One of the quintessential musical landmarks of Los Angeles, most of what can be said about this remarkable venue has already been said-and then some! The bands booked here are stellar and solid. Many rising up and comers get their start here and it’s the perfect incubating spot for musicians of all varieties to hone their craft with an upward trajectory. The sound here for live music is extremely tight and sonically on the mark. The crowds are generally social and welcoming and it’s not a rough club scene. It attracts a more hard edged sound/bands at times, but the versatility of bands can’t be understated. You have bands of all musical breed playing here. It’s definitely worth it to check it out! My band played here a number of years ago and it was a fantastic experience with a great vibe.

Nothing better than seeing a show at the historical Whiskey A Go Go, well….. unless you get to see your son performing with the awesome SOR House Band. Nothing is better than that! The line to get in went around the block but the employees and Security were great, they got through the line fairly quickly. There are some nice booths on the 1st floor you can reserve, I believe they are around $400 and include a set amount of tickets and bottle service. We reserved seating on the second floor which was $75 and was next to the railing but was perfect because we had the best view of the stage. The booths downstairs are nice but when crowded the view is not so great since everyone is standing on the floor. There is a bar downstairs and one upstairs (the one upstairs opened a little later than the one on the 1st floor). They do have finger type food you can order as well. We got our son potato skins and he enjoyed them, prices are decent for both food and drinks (again especially in the area). Overall the sound was pretty good, the band sounded amazing plus it is just an amazingly iconic venue. The staff was super cool and whether it was entering the venue, getting a drink, or a bite to eat they got through everything quickly (especially since it was very crowded). The show was fun and again it made it that much better being that we got to see these amazing young adults perform. If you have a chance to check out a show there, it is fun. Whiskey is large enough to have a nice show yet you feel intimate enough to enjoy without thousands of people.

Best bar I have ever been to!! Live music was incredible & drinks were great. Prices weren’t too bad considering it’s the Sunset Strip. The bouncer was really funny and talked with us everytime we stepped outside for a few minutes, and the bartenders were all friendly with great service. And the history of this spot just makes it even better!! Cannot recommend enough!

My band Addict3d just recently played at the Whisky in November, me and the guys had a freaking blast. Well number one' the place is iconic and we performed on the same stage as many others in the past. Definitely a memory that I'll keep dear to my heart. Security, those guys were awesome. The bartenders were quick to get your drink and we had food there also and I would have to say the best chicken strip basket on the Sunset Strip. We'll definitely be back. And thanks for having us Whisky.

I came here for the BMTH show. What an amazing experience! The bartender remembered my name and my drink order. The staff at the door was incredibly helpful and friendly. They require proof of vaccination.

Small venue. Not a bad spot in the place. Great colors inside. Restrooms were clean and parking was easy to get in and out of for 20 bucks. There are 2 bars inside with 1 on every level.

Wow 🤩. Been there a few times to go see the best Doors cover Band Wild Child. I showed up late one time and the people in front still let me in (I did say I knew one of the band members) aka kit the legend…..to have the best nights of my life. Wild Child performance was phenomenal and they played 3 encores and I got to meet the band members!!

Love this venue! Small and perfect for seeing some great bands close up. Sound is perfect. Staff is great. Hope to see more old school hair bands come back and play here. But Mammoth killed it here!

An iconic place with great history. Good vibes and of course depending on who is performing, the crowd varies accordingly. Fun to walk from there to Rainbow Room for drinks!

Such an iconic place! Enjoyed a Jack * Coke (actually Dr Pepper) and chatted with the Bartender while there. Very courteous and knowledgeable of the sites History. Hope I get more opportunities to visit this iconic night spot especially when Live entertainment is scheduled! 😎 Someone was also filming "B-roll footage while I was there! Quite a different environment being in Hollywood fo sho!

Saw Lob Lobos for their 50th anniversary tour here, had a wonderful time! Music was loud, entry allowed ins and outs, there is food you can buy at the bar. Parking was easy but expensive. Had a great time!

This was my first time here. My friend was performing and I didn't want to miss it. I love the space. There were two floors for the audience. The second floor was reserved and had seating and some had tables. The first floor had a few booths but mainly standing room. I believe they served food. They definitely served drinks. It wasn't very packed on a Thursday night. The crowd was very supportive and encouraging. Staff was professional and friendly.

I stopped by in the afternoon and had a great conversation with the bartender. She was so friendly and informative. Very cool to be there even if it wasn't for a show.

Finally posting this review of a place that needs no reviews! We went for some morning day drinking before the Rainbow 51st show. Not only did we experience The Whiskey during the day but Billy Biohazard from the band Biohazard was the guest bartender serving up Ghost Tequila. The staff was the friendliest you could ever experience! Billy and the servers are pictures in my review. Friendly as hell! All of them. It’s a true Sunset Hollywood experience. You can feel the energy when you walk in the door! The drinks are made by pros and the place is simply amazing. It’s a must do when visiting LA! Don’t miss it!

I came here last week to see Bleed the Fifth and Tommy Vext. There is valet parking behind the building. Bring cash. The crowd at Whiskey a Go Go was pretty diverse in age, which was cool to see. My husband and I ordered chicken strips, they were surprisingly good. The drinks were decent but a little on the weak side. We bought tickets that included a table-which I recommend. The venue will tape your name to the table that is reserved so there are no mix ups. The view was great from the balcony and if you want to enjoy the music and avoid any potential mosh pits, this is the way to go. The venue itself is a good size if you want to be at an event without getting lost. It’s intimate enough that everyone can see the band from the bottom and top floors. The sound and lighting was great too. The staff were helpful except for the woman selling shirts. She was particularly rude and nasty for no reason. Overall, we had an amazing time and enjoyed the music very much. I recommend coming here especially if Tommy Vext is playing. The other bands were amazing as well!

We went to see Robbie Krieger with a doors cover band. Robbie Krieger is really old, however the man played for 3 hours and rocked the house down. My respects to him Whiskey a Go Go is a legendary place, they serve decent food, however on a Monday we had to wait in line outside over an hour, buying tickets didn’t help at all with the slow service. The parking place is a rip off: 25$ and is valet. Beware with this. The few tables the place had were the VIP. The staff organised those tables is the second floor right at the balcony in a way that there were no space for others to get near and downstairs it was over capacity, not a soul could fit there. So we had to go upstairs and watch in the back. Very uncomfortable, basically there’s space for another 100 people upstairs if they could just put the tables in a better array

Attended an incredible Battle of the Bands fundraiser. It's quite an experience to be there but there's much room for improvement. Music was great but I should have brought earplugs as it felt like the sound was bouncing off the walls many times over. In the 3 hours we were there in the VIP section, no one cleared our table... obviously understaffed. No way to know when your food is ready other than checking at the bar over and over. Ordering is difficult because of the noise and understaffing. Floor very sticky. Women's bathroom door lock broken, as it was a year ago at the same event. Owners obviously don't give a $#!(.
