Shake shake is the best medium speed burger chain. Far better than in n out. Burger here was delectable and makes me wanna eat from shake shack multiple days a week. Cheese isn’t like the package cheese you would get from in n out, all hard. It’s melted perfectly alongside the patty. Yum

Shack shake Santa Monica and Knoll Blvd Burgers were subpar. The presentation was horrible.  The smoke shake was okay and a bit spicy.  The spiciness was perfect. Fries were trash.  Cooked and seasoning just dumped on them. Shake the fries up so they are evenly coated. The margarita that was ordered was not a margarita.  Didn't taste like anything anyone should drink. The shack burger was garbage. The fruit punch drink was good. The habanero mayo was fire. Would I return? NO I'll stick to in an out or Five Guys.

Haven't been at shake shack in A while so I was looking forward to have diner there. It initially looked good but then What a disappointment. Order was a double smoke burger, spicy fries w/melt and ranch and a small soda. First of all the spicy fries tasted like bad nacho cheese and the spicy was not spicy just strange spicy which then reflected in the whole meal since the burger also had some spice on it making it just a bizarre tasting spice all around. Now I have to say for a 25 dollar meal I expected a good burger and fries not this mediocre food. Plus the location is all self service ordering on a pad and picking it up yourself without any staff interaction, yet the payment defaults to a 10% tip ... Have to ask for what ? Plus bussing the table yourself. The whole location inside and out was is disarray. Tables were dirty, chairs all over. Sorry just really sad. High price, so so food and no service ....

Used to be great. The menu isn't as good as it was pre-pandemic. The quality seems to have changed. The food isn't cooked well and it isn't worth the additional expense. Presentation is lacking and the restaurants don't feel clean. I've been to a few locations and they all give off the same vibe now. It's too bad. Since we're rapidly becoming a fast food society, it would be nice to get excited about eating somewhere different once in a while.

I ordered two shakes (pumpkin patch and choco salted toffee) from the counter. I waited 20 minutes and finally asked them what's going on with my order. I was told pumpkin was out n would be ready in 5 minutes (it was actually another 10 minutes waiting). Basically, I ordered at 3:36pm and got all my shakes at 4:06. Seriously 30 minutes to make shakes? If there were busy I totally understand but they were not. BTW my shakes were so watery and overly sweet. Johnny Rockets has much better milkshakes.

I am not sure the burger lived up to my expectations considering all the hype. The size is smaller than what I expected. Soft buns and the patty flavoursome, a bit on the salty side. Parking was a little tricky, even past the peak dinner time. They have some cool merchandise for sale. Overall, a pretty cool experience.

We stopped here to eat lunch and did not have high expectations for this place. Boy were we wrong!! The food was delicious, our burgers were fixed just right and the fries were hot & delish! My ice tea/lemonade was excellent and when I asked for a refill I got it. We haven't eaten in a restaurant in over a year, but this place has the best eat outside area I've seen in a while! Pics we will attach. Great lunch & we'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

The location and building itself has designed really well. Looks great and is very clean. However when it comes to food I was let down. I had heard a lot about this place and was told it was a big deal that it came from the east coast. My burger was good but nothing special. Pickles on the burger were huge which didn't compliment the burger well. The burger my boyfriend had, the avacado was like a brick, he couldn't bit it. The bacon was more fat than anything. The chocolate shake wasn't great either. The price you pay for the food isn't worth it. Just go to in and out. They are significantly better.

First review in a while but I came here for a quick meal. The service was pretty quick for the crowd, food and beer were fresh. The best part was enjoying the outdoor seating to take in the warming weather. Definitely recommend the house beer I got the 16oz

Way overpriced. I don't mind paying a premium for good food, but i expect good food. What i got (Shake Shack, double, lettuce wrap) tasted like nothing more than a small, reheated cafeteria burger, disguised with shake shack sauce. I'm sorry, but we need to take a stand for this all too common trend with restaurants. Lower the price or give us what we're paying for! And... Why are we tipping beforehand?

I love all the shake shacks! Their burgers are delicious their fries are perfectly made, and their drinks are just the right amount to quench your thirst 😋 just wish they had combo meals. They had an avocado special burger, but because they're made perfectly delightful, they immediately sold out, so I recommend getting their early!!!

Quite handy place for a quick burger . Easy to park as well . Better than a stage burger joint with outdoor seating! For my taste the shake was far too sugary !

Love cheese burgers and Strawberry shakes? Then you'll like this place. I'm Not the biggest fan of shake shack. However, here I am enjoying a shake & burger, Watching the sun set. Go figure. Anyway... The staff / crew were friendly and helpful. Seating area in parking lot. Credit card only, no cash. And No long line. (Maybe that's why we stopped). Ordered 1 cheese burger 1 mushroom burger & 2 shakes. Cost me 30 dollars. 😏 Enjoy!

This place was awesome! Food was great, shake was outstanding! I was having a tough day, the manager Ebony was so kind and truly spoke life and encouragement into me! I came in for a burger and got love! So thankful, I had tears!

Daphne is the sweetest human being! She gave us refills and took our trash for us! We will definitely be returning to this location because of her. Also, the food was amazing and the restaurant itself is extremely clean.

This location is great. The other day I placed an order online and I wasn't aware that I placed it at another location. When I arrived and realized my order was placed at another location I was bummed because i was very hungry and was on a time crunch and didnt have time to go to the other location. the team here was very accommodating and made a burger for me "on the fly". Not only were they able to make the burger for me quickly but it tasted amazing. I was then able to contact the other location and get a refund. I'm very thankful to the team at this location. I will be back again soon.

#1 Best milkshake in LA. Order took a long time but the food was fantastic! I recommend Shack Shack if you are craving for some fast food.

I had a great experience at shake shack. Got the shack burger and was very impressed with the quality of the meat and ingredients. My favourite part of my meal though was definitely the cookies and cream milkshake which I highly recommend. Ordering was efficient and we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive to our table.

This place is just okay. It's much more height than great food. Although I did try their chicken sandwich which was okay. Walked out of there for two people a chicken sandwich and a custard and fries for $20. Not so bad. It's nice to sit outside though. Place is super popular especially if you want to see people and be seen hahaha

I want to give it 4 stars because of because of how much little food they give you for a large amount of money but it is high quality food and I can taste it, so I guess at the end of the day you get what you pay for. I like the venue too it is also a nice Burger joint if you wanted to spend a pretty penny. Burger King Wendy's McDonald's and any other Burger place has nothing on these burgers here. But sometimes they don't season the burgers which is which is not OK they need to season them all the time if I'm paying over $8 per dollars per small burger. And the shakes are just ice cream so it's not like you can really drink it. But still, it's still high quality food. Fries I don't care for, it should be seasoned as well but they're not. I'm black so you know I need that seasoning!

I ordered ahead online and STILL waited over 30 minutes inside for my food. Very poor store cause I never experience this in Hollywood. Ambiance was stressful to say the least, everyone else I was waiting with had problems with their food too. Plus, the food was cold but I was late already so I couldn't get it remade. I want a refund but I don't want to go back there.

The food is very good. Always fresh and hot. The fries are always crispy and delicious. You must try the cheese sauce for the fries! The burgers are not overly greasy, which is fantastic. A little pricy, but it's LA. I want to add that the staff is very friendly.

This was the first Shake Shack location I've been to on the west coast and it did not disappoint! We sat outside to enjoy our meal because it was a beautiful day. I ordered a Shackburger with added cherry peppers, fries, and water. The burger was tasty and I loved the addition of the peppers. It added just the right amount of kick without over-taking the other flavors. The fries were crisp and salted well. My only reason to take away 1 star from a 5-star review is the cost of a meal (with a drink) is about $15, which I just find a bit high for this quality of food. A similar meal at the your west coast competitor is about 1/2 the price.

This location puts the slow in fast-food… The place is consistently disorganized (you usually have to remind them of the order you just made inside) and for some reason on four separate occasions, as I waited patiently for my order by the pickup order, they never called it. This is even after I asked for my order by name at least twice. For some reason, it comes quicker if you order through Postmates so pay the fee for someone else to freeze their bottom off. After waiting approximately half an hour for my food, I was given an incorrect order that was less than what I paid for. And no bun no less! This is after the manager read my order back to me from the receipt on the bag.

This was my second attempt at shake shack and this is 5x better then the first time I tried shake shack. I still feel that the cheese burgers could use some work. Some of the pairings did not match up. For example I ordered the smoke shack burger, which comes with chopped cherry tomatoes. The problem is the cherry tomatoes taste pickled. Lucky for me I also ordered the core menu item like the shack burger which is solid. Basic but solid. The milk shake here is pretty good. I got chocolate and it is very very chocolatey. Customer service here was good. Employees look happy and it reflects.

I got a black and white shake (It was so good). I also had a chicken shack sandwich My partner got the chocolate pie shake and a hot dog. Sorry no photos. This place had great service, was super clean. And as busy as it was, it didn't seem crowded and we didn't feel rushed. I'm sure we'll be going back more regularly.

Three stars I think is more than fair. The food is decent. These aren’t burgers or fries to rave about but they’re ok in a pinch, and affordable (though more expensive than some alternatives). They’re habitually out of their flavored lemonades. Why? One time sure, but always? The counter service is generally a bit on the cold side, short, unfriendly questions and directions, but you don’t come here for Michelin Star service. The problem is in the ordering. We’ve been eating here maybe once a week for several months. It’s conveniently right down the street. Sometimes it’s 2 of us, sometimes 12. It’s a decent and affordable place to get lunch for a large meeting. A good 50% of the time the order is a little wrong. We generally shrug it off. The to-go system is awful. They say they’ll call your name when it’s ready but that rarely happens. You’ll usually get cold food because the front staff seems poorly trained and just doesn’t know how to deal with taking orders and servicing to-go customers. One time they asked for our name, checked all the orders and said the order didn’t exist. I had someone text a screenshot of the order and miraculously it was there the whole time - but now cold. I don’t blame the staff, I blame corporate management. Either figure out a better system that works for staff and customers or train your staff better. What’s really disappointing is the one time we decided to speak up. We called both the local number (got a machine that said they’d call back within 24 hours) and used the corporate help form, several days later, no word from either. A replacement meal would be amazing but honestly a simple phone call back from anyone would’ve kept us coming back but with so many other burger places within walking distance, why bother. It’s surprising really. I expected a company like this to at least want to make a bad experience a bit better. Iconic LA spot Tail of the Pup just opened next door. That’s our next stop.
