Absolutely horrible experience. We catered from them for our breakfast and lunch during our religious ceremony. His appetizers were extremely dry and tasteless and his lunch was very poor quality. During the religious ceremony, we told him not to serve any eggs and meat; however, he decided to use eggs in his naan. We had individuals that are extremely allergic to eggs and those that cannot eat it due to religious reasons; who were extremely upset by this. When confronted, he made excuses saying that catering is usually poor quality and that ingredients are expensive. He also did not try to apologize or reduce the price. Try a different place instead! Response to the owner: First off, the original quotation you gave us was $45 per plate just for vegetarian food. On the day of, you increased your price to $60 per plate for a whopping total of $9,000. We would be absolutely crazy to pay you this amount for this low quality food. Even the amount we gave you is more than generous. You state that you’ve been in business for 14 years and you have catered for religious events, yet you decided to use eggs during it, even when we told you during our initial meeting not to. Our aim is not to destroy your business but to hold you accountable for the food and the price. You stated that this would be the best tasting catering, which it was far from.

Family from Nepal, very good northern Indian authentic food, some dishes are different than you might be normally familiar with (butter chicken) but very tasty, we usually get medium hot =plenty spicy. Lots of dishes here I haven't seen offered in other Indian restaurants, fun to try new dishes! Our faves= Naan bread, ginger Lamb, Nepalese bbq Lamb, pakora!

Go here if you want to leave the restaurant hungry because of really badly cooked curries that taste like it’s been cooked in tomato ketchup and heaps of cornstarch. Absolutely inauthentic Indian food, and an owner/manager who justifies it by saying your taste buds are probably different. Safe to say, never going back.

Amazing service, food and atmosphere. So happy we found it today. One of the best in Okanagan. Butter chicken and tandoori prawns are just wow!

I am not one to falsely put a bad review but this place has failed me not once but twice.. And the owner even tho he knew I was disappointed with the quality of food gave me the same bad quality second time.. My first order with them was lamb biryani which tasted more like lamb pulao, my second order with them was lamb moghalai and garlic naan, the lamb moghalai was ok but the naan was raw and left uncooked in many Spots. Definitely not going back here after two bad experiences

The Everest is a nice restaurant on Main St. in Westbank that is not on everyone's radar, but should be! We were seated promptly and we ordered drinks and a variety of meats in Indian sauces and vegetables. The naan was freshly made and the food was also generous -- we had to take some home! By far, the butter chicken was my favourite, and I look forward to returning for more.

Food tasted amazing but we had to wait for about 2 hours since it was on a long weekend (Canada day). Loved their palak paneer

Totally, totally disappointing. We ordered food on line for delivery for a Valentines dinner. The food didn't arrive at the first attempt. We contacted the restaurant who forwarded our complaint to the delivery company who suggested the food had been delivered but maybe stolen from our doorstep. No way! They had to enter our yard through a gate, walk up the deck to the steps, where our dog lets us know when anyone arrives. And we were home all the time looking out for a delivery driver. Fair play to them though they organized for the restaurant to re-make our order and it arrived hot, albeit 90 mins after the original was supposed to arrive. When we did finally sit down to eat (after 9pm) the food was underwhelming to say the least. Let's start with what WAS good. The garlic naan bread, the veg pakoras, and the coconut chicken (korma) were pretty good. Then it went downhill with the rest of the order. The samosas were flavourless with a thick doughy pastry instead of being thin and crisp. The Veg Jalfrezi was mostly mixed frozen vegetables with a few fresh peppers mixed into curry sauce, The veg pilau rice was uninspiring as it was also just mixed frozen veg stirred into rice, certainly not worth the extra $3. The "Everest Specialty" sounded good, and my wife chose it specifically because it did not include Butter chicken sauce... the menu reads "marinated lamb and chicken grilled and served with bread"... but much to her dismay it was pieces of soggy naan bread in butter chicken sauce with a few chunks of lamb and chicken...beside it being odd and unexpected that the naan bread was served IN the sauce (which was not mentioned in the menu detail) there was very little meat for the $20 price tag. (The leftover soggy naan bread was 2/3 of the container even after some was eaten...all bread and barely any meat!) The only good thing to come out of the night was that we now know not to go to the Everest Restaurant again or to trust Dispatch Ninja to deliver food on time. At $98 that was an expensive lesson to learn!!

It's been a couple of times that they have not delivered the same service as they used to, sometimes is the food or like yesterday the garlic nan, clearly they don't check the quality of the meals before it goes out for delivery.

I eat from here often usually by myself or with my friend and have never once been disappointed. The spice level is always on point and the servers are very friendly. I am always really nervous to make large takeout orders from indian restaurants because authenticity is always an issue not many places can make it traditional like I am used to. I ordered eleven dishes with rice, naan bread and appetizers everything was perfectly made. We notified them of food sensitivities and preferences they were super accommodating and we had no issues. When I was placing my order I was getting a bit carried away for the amount of people I was hosting. Instead of allowing me to keep ordering a lot of food. He notified me that the portions would work when he heard how nervous I was about the quantity. It was nice to see that they respected me as a customer and my money. The food was amazing and everyone was super happy !

Been going to this restaurant for at least 6 years now. Best place to go if you're ever craving Indian food. super high quality food and one of the only authentic places in the okanagan < you definitely don't get a lot of real authentic food here in the okanagan. 10/10 recommend.

This place is a hidden gem located right on Main Street. The food is always fresh and excellent! What a treat to have such a wonderful restaurant in West Kelowna. The interior is large with well-spaced tables covered with nice white tablecloths, and a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It is rarely too busy. Many people, including myself, enjoy their take-out menu. If you enjoy ethnic food then don't hesitate to give this a try. I've enjoyed each of the various dishes I've tried.

For us, this is the best place for Indian food in the Central Okanagan. Always very fresh and tasty, good portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service when we go in to eat or pick up. Delivery has always been 100% accurate and arrived hot. We've tried other places but nothing compares - this is our go-to!

I recently dined at Everest restaurant and unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The service was below par, and the food quality left much to be desired. The first issue I encountered was the subpar service. The staff seemed disorganized. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and seemed like it had been sitting for a long time. This was not only unappetizing but also a health concern. In addition to the poor service, the quality of the food was extremely disappointing. Not only was the food cold, but it also tasted old and stale. The flavors were bland and lacked the freshness and quality one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. It was evident that the food had not been prepared with care and attention to detail. Overall, my experience at the restaurant was far from satisfactory. I was hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, I left feeling let down and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality service and delicious, fresh food.

Great culinary and dinning experience. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you are received with a warm welcome from the attentive staff. The food was comforting and delightful. From their coconut naan (must have), to their chicken vindaloo and desserts, every dish was crafted with care and authenticity - flair, flavours and aromas. Good portions and reasonable price. I will certainly be back - highly recommended!

Best Indian food in town. The owners are super friendly and service is great. Love their set meals because it has a little bit of everything and the portions are perfect. Also lots of vegan and gluten free options and they will actually take the time to warn you about certain dishes if you have allergies.

Food was delicious (we had the butter chicken)! Portion sizes are reasonable. Our naan was fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The restaurant was clean/tidy and appears to be kept so. I will be back :)

Had a great time here on a date night with my hubby! The staff was really friendly and warm. They made an effort to ask about our night and let us eat a nice slow dinner, it was nice and relaxing. They made one of our few nights out sans kiddos a real treat! Definitely try the Kadai Paneer.

One of the best Nepal restaurant you could find in Kelowna. Taste bit different than a regular North Indian food. Great service and great food. Highly recommend to anyone who like Nepal dishes.

My first dinner at the Everest. It was delicious and my compliments to the owners/cooks for their wonderful hospitality and very good food. I look forward to another dinner at the Everest. Thank you for your kindness and excellent service!

Food was delicious and fresh. All of the dishes we tried were excellent. New to the city and didn't want to cook this evening so our kids convinced us to try the Meat set meal for 4, for pickup. It comes in separated trays, like it would at the restaurant, so there's no serving. Just grab a plate and go. Naan was still steaming. Will definitely be back!

Such a clean and and warm atmosphere. Absolutely excellent food and completely fair prices relative to most of the rip off joints in West Kelowna. Nothing but positive things to say about this place and I truly always leave happy.

I’d give it no stars if I could. We have been ordering her for a very long time and we love the food. Twice this week we have tried to make a order for delivery and have clearly given our addresses for delivery, and both times we waited 2 hours for our food. When we call to check on our order they forgot and thought it was pick up. Both times our food had been sitting there for at least an hour. After talking to them tonight and waiting another two hours I ask if there was a deal they could give us since this is the second time this has happened and refused to compensate us for their mistakes. I am extremely upset but not surprised they wouldn’t own to their mis happening and do the right thing. I’ll be going to their competition and making sure I direct people else where. My friend also had the exact same thing happen this week. Unacceptable.

Very tasty food, good staff. We ordered Veggie Thali (platter), the taste was just like homemade food. Not too much oil, not too spicy. Naan was very soft and fresh. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I ordered food here. It was only 8:40pm that night and the place closes at 10pm! They had told us that they were closing soon and I knew they always close at 10pm. They said “fine, what’s your order?!” With an attitude. When we had picked up the order and brought it home to enjoy. A few minutes after we started eating. We noticed this big piece of freaking PLASTIC!! Its bad enough when I was eating and could feel like i was chewing on little rocks pieces. But a big piece of plastic like this???! It’s very disappointing. 🤢 never again! Don’t waste your money here.

Everest has been our go-to Indian Food takeout since 2014. Food is consistently delicious, flavourful and served with generous portions. The vegetable pakoras are the best I have ever had! 5+ stars!!

Overall food was tasty and quantity is good. But when we ordered veg platter as a starter, it was too oily. Naan breads are soft. I personally think there should be more light during evening hours to give it a brighter look. It takes a little long time to get the food after you order it.

I visited this place with my brother and ordered the bhuna lamb and it was exquisite. I was a little concerned about the portion at first but after I finished eating it turned out to be an appropriate size. I have been to many Indian and a few Nepalese restaurants and they all have been amazing. This one will also get five stars for its delicious meals! Pay them a visit and have a great time!

The restaurant was only 15% full yet it took 15 mins for us to receive menus after being seated and another 15 mins to be asked for drinks and order. The food was unfortunately was sub par relative to comparable venders. Portions were good. Sure the kitchen may be busy with online orders but servers who were not busy prolonged our visit to just under 2 hours. A must try is the banana lassi, it's delicious!

Ordered for pickup once and delivery as well once and both times were 5 star. Times were accurate, they were on time. Very good experience, excellent Naan bread as well which is huge for me when ordering Indian food. Awesome job folks.

This family owned restaurant provides excellent service, quality food and excellent customer care! As someone who personally works in the food industry, I admire their fast response to any concerns. Any issues (if you run into any at all) are resolved so quickly when you reach out to them! They provide a welcoming atmosphere and amazing food! They are a great local business that connects with their community to support.

Save your money peeps! I called to ask if they have Prawn Masala with tomatoes, onions and green peppers (not the brown mushy sauce) and they said yes they have what I’m asking for and that there’s is “better” then Dawett’s. So I went ahead and ordered very spicy. First off it’s NOT prawns! They are puny little shrimp and the sauce is exactly what I thought it would be…..NO tomatoes and 2 pieces of green peppers and not extra spicy at all! Very tasteless dish and sauce is soupy. What a joke! I also ordered the lamb curry medium hot spice and again it’s very soupy and not spicy. The lamb is very tough and fatty. Brutal! Never again. Very disappointed! What’s with the soupy dishes?!? Back to Dawett’s I go!
