Not sure why people get confused with Regatta Playground, this is a review of the park (it's a gated park) and the playground is a part of it. We were in the area for some work and had an hour in hand, I googled park near me and found this. what a great find it is! it was a cloudy day. not a very big park but I like small, cozy parks. it is offering something for everyone. The first thing that will hit you, is swan-shaped paddle boats (Essex County Paddle boat house) starting from $17. Excellent activity provides life vest, staffs are there to guide you, well maintained. Paved walkways that circle the lake (I did not complete it), looks really good. I even saw a toy train, not sure of the origin and end, but it's there and sure looks like fun. Playground: known to be one of the best playgrounds in the area. Covered Picnic area: you can bring your own food or get snacks from here (nominal charge). the area is neat and clean. Also nearby to McLoone's and the Safari mini-golf course. Lots of plastic chairs are there to sit near to lake and picnic area. Restroom: there are plenty of restrooms. Parking: across the road, plenty of parking spots, and its free

What a beautiful park! A wonderful treat to the senses with lots of birds and turtles to watch. Access to clean bathrooms next to McLoone’s Boathouse in case you get hungry.

Beautiful park with rental swan paddle boats, flat paved route around the manmade lake/reservoir but they also have actual trails that go into South Mountain Reservation. It's a little sad to see a lot of discarded bottles in the lake ans trails though. :( The Turtle Back Zoo and Go Ape Treetop are nearby and there are plenty of parking with a police at the crosswalk.

Beautiful place to walk, makes you forget that you are in an urban area. This park is connected to the Green/White and Orange/Green? trail of South Mountain Reservation. It is a nice addition to a hiking trip, or just to visit on its own.

This park is beautiful. The trail is about 2 miles a loop around the lake. Great for jogging or walking. There is fishing allowed and an area for picnic. There are benches and chairs all around the lake so you can sit and enjoy the view. Great for families with young kids. There are Swan boats and a gated playground for kids. Great for dog walking.

Beautiful park with a trail that goes around the entire lake. The trail is completely paved and fairly level so an easy walk. The park is right next to Turtle Back zoo. Many joggers and fishers as well.

There is a childrens park there to take you kids, across the street is parking. Directly as you exit the parking lot is the entrance to the Paddle Boat. Its cheaper for residents that live in Essex but for those that dont... the price is worth it for half-hour. The veiw is enjoyable and yes for those that ay Pokemon Go there are 2 gyms, plenty of pokemon and at least 3 to 4 PokeStops. Great to take family. Definitely going back soon.- Decided to post a pic leaving very little so others can experience the beauty in person.

Gorgeous park with well paved path (a little under 2 miles for the entire circumference). Also has paddle boating in the reservoir! So much fun.

Really lovely around the lake walk with beautiful views, most of those round the lake trails views are covered by bushes, but this one is perfect. Has woodsy hikes nearby also.

I grew up 15 minutes from the reserve, but I moved to Morris County before the park was created. I am amazed at the beautiful work out into making this place so enjoyable! The path is nice and wide, there are ample spaces to sit and visit, and the plantings are very well maintained.
