Really lovely place with a beautiful ocean view. We went for happy hour and there was a live music. Great happy hour selection, good drinks and great service.

We celebrated our anniversary last night at the beach house. The view was incredible. Pablo and Gina took care of us for the evening. Definitely going back to eat breakfast as the food was very good. The cheesecake and Kahlua coffee very very 👍

Good meal, great atmosphere overlooking the ocean. We had a couple of drinks during happy hour and then when right onto dinner. Had the tuna as an appetizer. Entrees were the grouper and chicken cordon bleu. Dessert was cheesecake. Good service as well. Only knock was the flies that bombarded us when our meal arrived. Pablo was our server and made sure we were taken care of.

I decided to go with visiting friends from Holland to have some breakfast close to the beach. I like Matthew's because the view is awesome, the food is great and lots and they have plenty of choices. Tips, if you are planning to go with a large group I will recommend to make reservations. Most of the time they are very busy. Was a great morning, good food, good service and great company!

Hey All, Even though I gave it 5 Stars, it's a soft 5 stars, for the simple reason it took a while for us to get our meal. We were a party of 13!!! But once we received our food it was delicious. The staff were very Polite. And we had room to eat and never felt cramped. Decor was great with mini lighting everywhere. Sit down and order up. Enjoy..... PS .the rib eye was great.

Great food and reasonably priced. Great service. On Wednesday they put on a Carnival dance show, which was outstanding.

We dined her multiple times over the years. Even had our wedding rehearsal dinner here where we rented the entire restaurant out. Great food and amazing service. Very kind people and good view of the sunset. Will visit again.

It’s my favorite place for breakfast! The options are plenty and the price is good. The location is wonderful in the sense that you can get there via the beach easily and have an ocean view or if you come specifically for the food you gotta cross the parking lot, front lobby and pool area first. I love how it puts you in a holiday mood. The best part of this place is how tame the wild birds are, who are cheeky enough to try and steal food off your plate or eat right out of your hands! Only downside is the bathroom are severely outdated and rusty.

The service is really very nice. The food is great, the drinks are refreshing and they have good coffee.

The portions weren't generous, and the menu prices are in USD, which is annoying for a restaurant operating outside of the US. The waitress was nice but overall the service didn't meet our expectations. The view is nice.

Started out with some great spicy shrimp. If I could have a plate of just that it would have been awesome. I ordered the daily special. All you could eat BBQ ribs. They were just bad. I have had bbq in multiple states. From Maine, and Washington to Florida. These were at the bottom. My wife had a salad topped with grilled chicken and she seemed fine with that. Since it is close to many resorts it was full of loud noise tourist, which also didn't make the experience great.

Hesperia attractive atmosphere, right on the beach, and the stables were all spacious with a more elegant appeal. A little disappointed in the blandness of the corvino, but overall, not bland tasting either.

Gorgeous view! Atmosphere otherwise was calm but a little odd; hardly anyone was there eating. The tables and settings were nice though. Waiters were very kind. Food seemed to have all just been frozen and warmed up. Very bland and nothing special. Also pretty expensive. I wouldn’t recommend for the food, but if you’re mostly wanting a great place to watch the sunset it may be what you’re looking for.

The food gets 5 stars. We had a bunch of appetizers & everything was delicious. Do yourself a favor & get the spicy shrimp & escargot. Sooo good. Giving it 4 stars because the rain was pouring onto everyone at the tables because there were huge spaces in the canopy. And the server had to be reminded about our drinks a couple times.

If you are on your honeymoon, this experience is a must. Incredible view, amazing atmosphere and awesome people. Everyone at Matthew’s went above and beyond to make our experience special. And the food was incredible.

The location is what makes this place, its food is good, but not really amazing. You’ll have to walk through the Casa del Mar to get to it. I kept thinking if Barb and Star went to Aruba, they’d stay here.

We love Mathew’s. Best happy hour and best escargot 🐌 first time trying it and loved it. Best team and management. Sting drinks also and it’s next to the prettiest beach on the island. We cane here almost every day for 2 weeks.

Great food -> RIGHT ON THE BEACH. After ordering, I took off my shoes and walked down to the ocean (can't do this at very many places in the world!). Food was top notch and sooooo good!

We had breakfast here January 2023 and had a wonderful experience.Our server Janathan was friendly and attentive. The view by the beach was great. My husband and I both had pancakes. While his were plain I had the apple cinnamon and they tasted yummy! We also ordered some home fries and they were very tasty . I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and we will visit again when we are back in Aruba.

I've liked every dish I've gotten so far. Beef tip pasta, escargot, tuna tataki, surf &turf... waffle blt and the other breakfast options were all fantastic too. Beware the black birds though, they'll steal food right off your plate if you let them- hense the 3* atmosphere.

Tuesday night is all you can eat ribs!!! I was skeptical being on an island, but boy was I wrong!! Excellent!! Service was awesome as well!! One of their happy hours is 4pm-6pm!! Sunset can't be beat too!!!

Lunch was reasonably priced although it great.. seafood soup SUPER salty..fish tacos mediocre at best.. Cuban came out so burnt you couldn’t bite it without hurting the roof of your mouth.. service was slow and not overly friendly. Waitress was accommodating by not charging for the Cuban after we stated it was burnt. The beers were half size and $6…I don’t know.. hate leaving negative comments though I believe we were mislead by all the 4/5 star reviews. The view was lovely I will definitely agree to that.

We haven't been here in about 10 years but it doesn't look like much has changed. The decor and set up is exactly the same. Steaks were great, but the rest of the meal (vegetables and mashed potatoes) were cheap catering quality. We got calamari as an appetizer, and they were clearly frozen and mass produced. Service was very slow despite there being a very light crowd in the restaurant. The beachfront setting was the best part of the experience, however, there are people on the beach all around you so it's a little awkward. We'll try a different steak place next time.

We went for Super Bowl 2020. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. Mediocre food. Felt that it was overpriced in general and maybe they were short staffed for this busy day... We barely got any service once the crowds rolled in. Our young waiter looked lost. He would walk past us and wait on others once it got busy

We always stop at Matthew's a few time each time we visit Aruba and the service and food is outstanding. Sadly on New Years day service was horrible and very inconsistent with how the service normally is.

This is a great beach bar in Eagle beach. They have a daily happy hour; 2 for 1 drinks. It's located at one of the older timeshare resorts, so many of the patrons are guests at the resort. But it's a great location with a fabulous beach right outside. The grouper sandwich is awesome, I've ordered it several times and it doesn't disappoint!

The view is spectacular and the food was delicious. We'll be back soon. Come for the sunset and stay for the food.

We’ve been coming to Aruba for years and never tried Matthew’s so last night we we with our grandchildren, ranging in age from 7 to 22. The service was fine. They brought out fresh bread which was great, but the butter was rancid. We had to ask for fresh butter. My granddaughter ordered a slushee which was just soda with coloring & lots of ice. I ordered the crab cake appetizer which was terrible. Dry, mostly bread, & salty. 2 of my other granddaughters & I ordered the Matthew’s salad which came with apples, walnuts & chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and the walnuts were stale. Our 2 youngest wanted their dessert called “worms in dirt” and they didn’t have it. My husband told the manager, who was very polite, apologized & said he would check on things. When the bill came, not one item was taken off the bill. In all my years coming to Aruba, I never had a bad meal until this one. The one star is for the lovely ocean view.
