I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and it’s staff. I checked in, after having checked out of another hotel close-by that I had a bad experience with. I was a little upset from that experience upon arrival, and the staff were extremely caring and helpful. Chris at the front reception helped me by showing me the room available while the bellman delivered my bags quickly. The room was pristine, nicely decorated, and the heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch! The bar is very nice, too. Every single person we encountered at this lovely hotel were friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile. I would recommend the Athenaeum to anyone visiting London. The location is fantastic too.

Brilliant 5star hotel based in Mayfair. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. Afternoon tea was nice and presented well. Hotel clean and nice decor. The spa was not busy and facilities very clean and tidy. Staff at the spa were good at their jobs and treated us well. Not many parking spots available but they have a paid car park just around the corner. Pricey but worth it as secure.

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Went to the Spa. Staff friendly and attentive. Prosecco on arrival best I've ever had (should have asked what it was). Facilities gorgeous and very clean. Treatments - massage and scrub were pure bliss.

Visited for a spa day and dinner, and we had the most relaxing experience, the massages were brilliant. The staff were lovely and so friendly, especially the lady who welcomed us. The changing rooms were on the small side, and so was the spa itself but this wasn't an issue at all and actually made the spa feel more cosy. We loved the products offered at the spa, the shampoo was amazing. The food was to a very high standard, great portion sizes, and tasted amazing. Especially the dessert!! The staff at the restaurant were lovely and made our evening more enjoyable. Thank you!

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This website will compare countless hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. Unparalleled, unmatched. This hotel with it's whimsy & warmth is unlike anything you'll find in London. From perfectly appointed rooms to genuinely inviting staff, we found our stay enchanting & definitely too short. Breakfast, tea, & night caps are all divine & swoon-worthy. Thank you for your accommodations. We cannot wait to return.

Gorgeous hotel with a tranquil atmosphere and superb service. The restaurant staff are polite and attentive but not in a way that puts you off. I would recommend the rose petal anti-ageing tea if you’re in for afternoon tea or cream tea. The spa facilities are the perfect size as it makes for a more intimate spa day. Louise at the front desk was the epitome of excellent service and our masseuses were both lovely and professional. I particularly liked the fact that they stagger their clients which means you have only 1-3 other people there at the same time as you using the facilities, which really made me feel very special and looked after. We were fortunate enough to experience the spa day in all its fullness, starting at the restaurant and ending with our treatments. Everything from start to finish was faultless and the complimentary glasses of Prosecco were the cherry on top of a lovely experience. My friend and I had a wonderful time and we would both 100% recommend and 100% be back.

The Athenaeum Hotel is one of the best spa/Hotel I have experience in London. We booked the 'Midweek Nourish Spa Experience with Treatments and Sparkling Lunch for Two' via virgin experience days, and for the money your spending, its definitely worth it. The service was very good. I want to say massive thank you to Kelly and Safia who made my mum and I feel special during are treatments. They gave good detail about all the treatments we can choose from, and they were informative, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the body wrap treatment if you hadn't had it before. You won't be disappointed. Kelly and Safia were very friendly and had a positive spirit about them. Thank you, Ladies. ❤❤. The food at 116 restaurant was absolutely delicious. The food was well cooked and lots of different flavours to choose from. I was definitely full. 😋The ambience at the 116 was sensational playing lots of music and it was on point. 👌🏾 I will be definitely coming back again and would 100% recommend this spa treatment for a birthday or girls day out.

Booked a couples spa treatment. When we arrived, we were shown around by the staff who were very friendly. The facilities are super small and we were lucky that there were only two other people there, otherwise we wouldn't have had any space to sit down and relax. We were told that the jacuzzi was out of order that day, which was disappointing. However, we were offered a gift voucher so that we could return on another day and use the facilities for an hour, which was honestly amazing. The massage itself wasn't that great though. The massage therapist asked me if I had any areas she especially needed to focus on, however, when she did the actual massage she did not focus on that area at all. On top of that, she slipped with her hands and actually ended up hurting my back pretty badly. I was in pain for days after the massage. Overall, not a mind blowing spa day experience but definitely not bad either.

I can’t comment on the rooms as I have never stayed in them however we come here often just to sit in the outside seating area and have some drinks. The atmosphere is very nice and pricing is reasonable. The staff are really friendly too.

We'd booked a spa experience - we weren't staying at the hotel. The spa was small but beautifully designed and we enjoyed the steam room, jacuzzi and sauna. The treatments were luxurious and relaxing and we left on a cloud of bliss!

We didn't stay in the rooms, we booked the spa and restaurant for our anniversary. It was superb, the facilities are well kept and clean, the staff is attentive and polite. Every detail is very well cared for. The restaurant had a good atmosphere, good menu and the food was very nice. Overall a good experience

Wow, best hotel I have ever stayed in! When checking in Lillia and Chris were welcoming, talkative and friendly, they even gave us a free upgrade. All information needed was provided before getting to our room and it was a nice touch with the doormen assisting us with the lifts and offering to take luggage to the room. The room was spacious, clean and up to date. We had some cocktails in the bar which had a nice setting and Alex was very attentive and makes amazing cocktails! We had the tasting menu for dinner with the matching wines and the food was unreal, a variety of dishes and a nice choice of cider, wines and port to match. Amanda our waitress was amazing, explaining the wines and making sure we had sufficient breaks between courses. She had a great personality and it made the meal experience even nicer. This hotel was without fault from start to finish and I cannot wait to return. Thank you to the whole team.

We had the lunchtime 5 course tasting menu to celebrate 3 x 70th birthdays. It was fabulous from the minute we stepped through the door! The decor was subdued and stylish with perfect lighting levels. The service was impeccable - attentive but discreet. The food was so, so good and the wine, although rather expensive, was extremely good. The experience is not cheap- currently £50 per head (it was £45 when we booked a couple of months ago) but perfect for a special occasion!

Stayed here for 6 nights. Overall the stay was nice as the hotel is quiet and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Thanks to Jorge for looking out for us. The location is convenient. The only downturn is the cleanliness of the rooms. The cleaner does not take out the used cups. Also tissue is not being refilled daily.

We have booked this hotel along with BA holiday package for 2 adults and 2 kids. The sofa bed they provide was of very cheap quality and even kids couldn't sleep properly because of the sound it makes when moving. The website mentioned pool and spa but it was closed. Why would anyone go for holiday where there is no facility at all. When asked what services are provided in the hotel, they mentioned lounge access and room service. Lounge access is basically hotel lobby. Any budget hotel is far far better than this hotel. Of course will definitely appreciate them for the cleanliness they maintain. This is the least that we could expect in 5-star hotel.

If you want to feel like being treated like the Queen herself, stay here! The location is incredible, we enjoyed Hyde Park right down the road, High Tea at the Ritz, the location of this palace aka Hotel is ideally located in walking distance of all main attractions. Breakfast was delicious along with their Lattes that I had 2 every morning. Every evening we sat on their front patio service with drinks and watched all the people walking by. I seriously am sad to leave here, but then again, we are off to explore Paris!

I cannot recommend this hotel and bar/afternoon tea highly enough. Even my husband who is not a fan of this sort of decadence finds it enjoyable. Discrete service. Delicious food and drinks. And oh so comfortable! I never want to move again whenever I go there. Simply divine.
